Mount Rest Villa

We had a wonderful stay at this villa! The property was spotless, very well-maintained, and offered a wonderfully calm, peaceful environment. The owner was exceptionally honest, accommodating, and easy to communicate with from start to finish. We also really appreciated the kitchen and it was fully equipped with all the necessary cookware, appliances, and cutlery, all in great condition, making self-catering completely hassle-free. Customer service was excellent throughout. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable, stress-free, and relaxing getaway!

We had a wonderful two-day stay at this villa in Hikkaduwa. The place was very clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with all the facilities we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, and hot water and all other essential facilities were available. The room was spacious and exceptionally clean, which made our stay even more comfortable. The owners were also very friendly, kind, and welcoming. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this villa to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and peaceful place to stay in Hikkaduwa. ❤️

Прекрасные гостеприимные хозяева уютного домика со всеми удобствами. Идеальная чистота и домашняя атмосфера. Советую всем, кто ценит домашний уют. Огромная кровать и выход в свой маленький дворик со столиком. Идеально подходит как для временного проживания, так и для долгосрочного съёма

A quiet place off the main road where you can rest. The room is dark unless you open the door which then turns the room into something completely different. Which is actually good because you have darkness to sleep in. I slept well here and the kitchen has everything you need. The owners are always very helpful and friendly. I was welcomed with tea and even a delicious lunch! This family definitely goes out of their way to make their clients feel and stay as good as possible. Thank you for everything.

I would take away the Christmas decorations but it’s not big deal.

À notre arrivés les hôtes étaient super accueillants, ils nous ont servi un petit thé. Les enfants étaient mignons. C'était vraiment une famille chaleureuse et adorable. La chambre était très très bien équipée (cuisine, frigo) une première pour le Sri Lanka.. c'est rare. Il y avait tout ce qu'il faut dans ce logement ! Super bon rapport qualité-prix. C'était tellement pas cher pour tout ce que ce logement avait. C'était parfait🥰

Это не просто вилла — это маленький уютный мир, который создан для полного релакса. Идеальное место для одного или пары, кто ценит камерность и тепло. Начну с того, что дом — любовь с первого взгляда. Небольшой, но есть абсолютно всё: удобная кухня со всем необходимым для готовки, всё работает исправно. Главные сокровища — это дворик и терраса. Если лень идти на пляж (такое бывает, когда здесь так хорошо), можно загорать прямо в своём приватном дворике в полной тишине. А под дождём я сидел(а) на крытой террасе с чашкой местного кофе — это были магические часы, которые запомнятся навсегда. Но самое главное здесь — люди, хозяева. Добрейшие, отзывчивые, открытые. Они всегда на связи, но совершенно не навязчивы. Я чувствовал(а) себя не туристом, а долгожданным гостем. Утром меня звали разделить завтрак, а однажды пригласили в дом к маме — вот где настоящая самобытность Шри-Ланки, без прикрас и туристических деревень. Это бесценный опыт! Маленький лайфхак от хозяина: я опоздал(а) в Fish Market (знаменитый рынок), но это не проблема! Хозяева тут же показали дом, где живёт местный продавец креветок — и я купил(а) свежайших морепродуктов прямо «с грядки» океана. Огромное спасибо за это прекрасное время и чудесное знакомство. Вернусь обязательно, ведь таких открытых людей и уютных домов с душой ещё поискать

Mount Rest Villa ist der perfekte Ort zum entspannen! Wir haben uns unglaublich wohl gefühlt und werden ganz sicher wiederkommen! Die Unterkunft bietet alles was den Aufenthalt super angenehm macht! Uns fehlte es an nichts. Sie ist sehr ruhig gelegen, dennoch nahe am Strand und auch zu allen möglicherweise notwendigen Läden, wie z.B. Waschsalon, Apotheke, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten u.s.w. Die Gastgeber Familie ist unwahrscheinlich nett und zuvorkommend und war bei jedem Anliegen stets sofort hilfsbereit, sodass unser Aufenthalt einer der schönsten war, die wir je erleben durften!

So cute room with an outdoor sitting area and a small kitchen. Nice and clean. The family was very friendly and invited us to dinner and breakfast. Had the best time there!

The villa is located in a very nice place surrounded by the jungle, close to the town and the beach. Everything was clean and the house is lovely. We had our private garden with a very nice view which makes everything very enjoyable. The owners are AMAZING! They invited us for a tea and lunch too, we felt very welcomed and really close the the culture of this amazing country. They give us a tour of their garden and we had the opportunity to taste different kinds of fruit. Don’t really now how the explain how amazing was our staying there, I can only recommend to go and try to live one of the most beautiful experience in Sri Lanka

this is the best place where I stay in whole my trip ( not just in Sri Lanka). owners are very friendly and helpful family who help you organise some attractions. I fully recommend this place. Thank you so much for having me:)

Everything was perfect

Shanika and Sampath are very kind and helpful hosts. If you want to stay in a village and in a quiet place, it's very nice to do this experience.. You will find the main road in 10 minutes walk. Room very clean and big in the middle of the nature.

We LOVED our stay at Mount Rest Villa. The family welcomed us with homemade food and tea. They are so nice and willing to help you with anything. The accommodation is super comfortable, it has big wooden doors that you can open up. We loved doing this in the morning while slowly waking up to the sounds of the birds. On the day we had to check out the family gave us a bag with some jack fruit from their garden. Definitely recommend booking this place, we would have loved to stay longer but had to continue our trip. We were only the 3rd people staying here so don't get put off by the fact they only got 2 reviews.

Mount Rest was quiet and peaceful and really lovely to have our own space. The Villa was cool in temperature at night time so we slept so well in the extra big bed. It is a short walk to a lovely beach and the lagoon, and a short tuktuk ride to Hikkaduwa for great snorkelling, cafes, restaurants and nightlife. For us it was lovely to be away from the crowds here at Mount Rest and immersed in Sri Lankan culture. Shanika and her family were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable. They were so kind and generous. They arranged for us to go on a tour of their family’s Cinnamon Garden and see how it was made. The Villa was very clean and comfortable and we loved our time here. Would highly recommend if you like to be off the beaten track, surrounded by the sounds of nature.
