For the price we paid, we djd not expect to pay supplements on breakfast or in the restaurant. Suorised to find laundary stacked around the entrance to the garden wing during our stay

Fantastic evening meals, with good menu. Delicious breakfast. Wonderful friendly staff, always helpful and smiling -if busy. Lovely rooms, some with sea views. (Next time we visit that’s my aim). On this occasion it was a last minute find and a very good one. We will return - oh how I wish I lived closer so I could eat here often!

Wenn es etwas gibt, dass wirklich nicht barrierefrei ist, dann dieses Hotel. Man muss die Koffer nicht nur Treppen hoch schleppen sondern auch durch mehrere Brandschutztüren... das ist mehr als nur sperrig gewesen. Mit Baby im Gepäck... also... eher schwierig.

Lovely building just a tad dated. The room was comfortable and clean. It lacked plug sockets though. The only 2 there were not best placed. Other than that it was fine.

There was nothing else nearby. The hotel/ restaurant was isolated. You needed to drive if you wanted to go anywhere else. However the main attractions eg the Kelpies etc are only a short drive away

The room was expensive, hotel definately profiting for concert audiences. Next time we will drive and park in one of the many many industrisl estates close by.instead of staying over

The staff, especially in the restaurant, were great. Travelling solo, I'm often offered the worst and smallest table in a restaurant: here I was given excellent table for 4 (ate there on 3 occasions). Great location for gig in Helix Park Comfortable bed.

Only 2 X 13 amp sockets , no usb. Other sockets were v old 3 round pin. Early morning wake up call didn't happen

The evening meal in Cooks was excellent. The reception staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable-the room and en suite was spacious and clean

The main house looked nice, but we were in an outside building. This was very dated.

Very dated and worn, the bathroom was very dirty and we had no towels when we arrived. Beds were very comfy that was the best thing.

Consider it a stopover hotel on the way to the airport..

Staff who don't look at you or greet you when you arrive, only one towel between two people in the bathroom, a tiled soap dish with no soap dish that slipped into the sink, and an extractor fan that looked like a spaceship. Breakfast consisted of reheated mini-brioches that looked like they were made yesterday, and hot milk was already on the table in a lidless jug... so cold.

The property was close to the kelpies and wheel which is what we anted after spending the day at eh military tattoo

Friendly staff, exceptionally clean and the perfect location for Falkirk attractions. Our boxer dog Bear loved it and loved his sausages for breakfast every morning, such a lovely thing to do. Thank you 😊

Only thing I could say is there is a lot of wasted outdoor space that could be so much more.

Nice location between Edinburgh and Sterling, next to the town of Falkirk, gives both a good launch point to explore the region and have options for eating and shopping. Hotel is old, in a good way - clearly historic, bringing an element of history to the stay. The executive room was large, especially for two people. Beds were just ok - a bit soft for our liking, but it seems to be a trend in Scotland. Decorations and furnishings were nice. When the heatwave hit, the staff was nice and gave us a fan for the room.

We had big issues with the plumbing in our room. The toilet, after flushing, keeps dripping into the tank for about 10 minutes - which is very annoying. Water pressure was nearly non-existent, with the shower head dribbling out water - it took several minutes to even wash off the soap from our bodies. Finally, the hot water line clearly runs parallel to the cold water line because the coldest the water from the tap got was about body temperature, which is not great for drinking. I think renovations, namely to the plumbing, are sorely needed.

Legerement bruyant (autoroute et aussi soirée privée dans leur grand salon). Le petit dejeuner est correcte mais n'est pas a l'image d'un petit dejeuner britannique. Oeuf brouille médiocre sans aucune preparation (se rapproche meme des oeuf en brique).

De grandes chambres, confortable et plutôt cosy. Environnement calme, parking et restaurant partenaire juste à coté de l'hôtel. Le restaurant est par ailleurs très correct. Un hôtel au charme un peu "à l'ancienne" mais qui tient ses promesses.

Le buffet du petit déjeuner est un peu chiche. Il est complété par une carte à la commande (inclus dans le forfait petit déjeuner). Pas de jus d'orange...

Grande chambre Propre

Collé sur l’autoroute moins de 10 m de distance entre la fenêtre et l’autoroute. Pas de climatisation donc fenêtre ouverte, beaucoup de bruit. Lit peu confortable. Environnement pas agréable vu la proximité autoroute. Pas ce que j’imaginais.

Good location for travelling in Central Belt of Scotland. Although on the edge of an industrial area and close to M9 motorway there was relatively little noise. Breakfast was a good way to start the day and staff were pleasant.

Parts of the hotel are rather "tired" and could do with some refurbishment. Most of the bedrooms are in the Garden Annexe and for an evening meal you need to visit Cooks (across Car Park). No problem in good weather but might be a problem in wet weather.

The facility was lovely and the staff were very helpful. We requested a room change due to my husband not being able to do the stairs in the manor and the receptionist was very accommodating and was able to sort this out for us, despite the manor being very busy. Lovely people to deal with. We ate at Cooks Restaurant every night and the food was delicious with large portions. The host was amazing, so friendly and fun to talk to. We even managed to get a copy of the Potato and Leek soup (which was divine) from the chef Anastasia. Would recommend both the manor and the restaurant.

I only had 2 issues while there. 1. The mattress of our bed sagged in the middle. 2. There were 2 fire alarms (false ones as it turned out) which we immediately evacuated for and neither time did anyone come to the garden wing to advise all was okay. We had to seek them out ourselves to find out they were false alarms.

Vriendelijk personeel, ruime kamer. Goede locatie als je de volgende dag vanaf Edinburgh moet vliegen. Restaurant wat erbij zit is goed.

Gedateerde inrichting, badkamer zat vol met schimmelplekken. Matrassen zijn erg hard. Ontbijt erg Schots georiënteerd. Er is wel iets anders, maar daar is niet veel keuze in.

The property is close to the highway and The Kelpies. The restaurant The Cooks was great, with excellent service.

We felt the hotel was a little run down and needed a refresh considering the cost per night. The breakfast options weren't great either.... we opted for a boiled egg.

The breakfast was amazing! The staff were so kind and friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant next to the hotel was lovely. The room size was brilliant. Good parking. Great location. Main thing is that it was clean.

There was a funny musty smell in our room on arrival, also just personal choice but I would take out the bath and have walk in rain showers. The beds were put together to make a big bed, but I kept falling down the middle! 😆 A bit of modernising and updating it will be perfect for the price.

No lift up yo our room

On our return trip from the Highlands to Edinburgh, we were delighted by this stopover. The room was very large, with comfortable beds, and an easy to access and safe parking lot. From the hotel we were able to walk to the Kelpies, which we did during the late afternoon, then drove back to see them after dark. What a treat! Breakfast offered a fabulous selection, served in the hotel dining room by very friendly staff.

Shower was very weak and no water pressure was in the shower. Also if a little gym is added to this hotel, promoting health and fitness, it will be much better.

Location was good as visiting family close by.

Following 5 hr drive, arrived and was a wedding going on at hotel. Checked in , stayed in garden wing. Room dated but passable. Went next door to cooks bar for meal and couple of drinks. Went to unwind in the hotel bar and was full with guests attending wedding. Took our drink to our room to relax and children from the wedding were running up and down the hall screaming and banging on doors. Was ongoing between 9pm & 12:30am. Rang reception to complain and still continued and now children also circling outside around from hallway to garden outside window. Until finally guests must have left. Bed was very uncomfortable with hard slats or something? 2nd night arrived back from visiting family and thought would attempt a quiet drink in bar abt 8:30pm only for bar to be closed and no staff around. Paid £270 for 2 very disappointing nights stay.

The size of the room was excellent. We felt all facilities were present for the price point and possibly a little more, e.g the offer of fresh milk should you require it, biscuits, comfy arm chairs, tissues. I have paid more for less. Was an easy, safe walk to the Kelpies - pavements and tarmac tow path.

We felt the breakfast let it down. Everything you would wish was there, including fruit salad and fresh fruit, but we did not enjoy the coffee and cooked breakfast.

The hotel is in a good location plenty of parking the staff were very helpful. The food was good only had the breakfasts but they were excellent and the service very good.The room was spacious and the beds comfortable.

The main complaint is the room we were booked into room 6 thats had a big noisey kitchen fan outside the window. We got moved to room 3 that was better but had a hopeless showers that the fan in the bathroom was really noisy. Also some parts of the room looked worn out dust behind the bed and cupboards. Not really deluxe as we paid for.

The hotel is lovely, clean and up together. It was perfectly located for the Kelpies and the Falkirk wheel. We had evening meal in the adjoining pub, excellent value for money and really tasty. Breakfast was couldn't be faulted, Megan and the girls looked after us really well. Nothing was too much trouble.

Staff member Jennifer. Had a problem with our room, reported this to Jennifer who was working at reception. No fuss, no drama, new room straight away. Phoned the room later on to check that everything was okay and provided complimentary drinks. Excellent customer service, turned around a problem into a positive.

Some cheese to go with the cold meats at breakfast would have elevated the breakfast just that wee bit more.

We were assigned a room with the worst mattress for anyone to sleep on. The room was also not very clean and with old tired looking furniture. After complaining the next day, the staff helped us out and assign a much nicer room to us with a great bed and much cleaner than the previous one. Thank you for this.

The staff lacked warmth and we felt that we were a bother to them. The breakfast was not very good and the breakfast staff rushed us to order. The toast was dry and cold.

Breakfast was very good. Room was nice apart from the stairs, which we were advised about the number beforehand.

On our second night, the Cook restaurant tried to serve my wife, who is Coeliac, non gluten free chips in spite she wss ordering from the gf menu.

Wasn't very clean , needs updated . Curtains were filthy , spider webs in the bathroom, the remote for the TV looked like it had never been cleaned. One if the windows wouldn't open. And needs a fridge in the room. Very disappointed was thinking from the pictures it was going to be lovely.
