Full marks to the chef, sandwiches were lovely and well filled. Cakes and scones were delicious. Husband ate all the delights but I had to take my wee cakes home I was too full after the scone ! we will be back again for a third visit ! Thank you
We received an Afternoon Tea voucher for 2 as a Christmas present. We phoned before our visit and booked our daughter in too. We had a lovely visit. We had pot of tea , sandwiches which had coronation chicken, egg mayo and ham, sausage rolls, and a variety of cakes. The cream with the scones were amazing. Very accommodating with my daughter and made her sandwiches of her choice. Only downside was would have liked some more tea but nobody there to ask. Im sure if I had asked would have been fine. We will definitely do this again if we had a voucher. Staff were lovely. Thank you for making it a lovely afternoon.
A family party of 12 had afternoon tea. An important gathering as 7 of us had flown up to see Scottish based family. The customer service was excellent, the food was delicious (& substantial) A good experience, & one which we would thoroughly recommend. We would have no hesitation in returning.
Was attending and staying over for an event and while the event staff / bar staff / reception staff were absolutely lovely the room itself was a bit of a let down. The positives, the bed was comfortable, and clean and the room was very large which was nice. I particularly enjoyed the ice bucket provided and the bath was a great size. However, the bed while comfortable was two single beds pushed together with a topper meaning there was a divot in the middle of the bed which I kept rolling into it. On top of that, the cleanliness of the room was a bit below where I would expect it to be with a stained towel, and mould in the bathroom The shower never seemed to get warm. But water was hot in the bath and the electric radiators were a bit dated. All in all, it as alright, I appreciate some of these issues could have been solved by speaking to reception (new towels for example and possibly the hot water) but my the time I noticed it I was already in the shower and not really in a state of dress to go down/ have someone come up and I was needing to be at the event rather than chasing this up.
We booked this as a weekend get away..the best thing about the hotel is the staff, they carry it. It needs investment and renaming the Kelpie Hotel. Breakfast was well run but bacon barely cooked and juices on offer not labeled and out a carton. This is an ok 3* hotel with 5* staff bringing it up. Our room was forgettable hence the late mention..needs a rehall.
We recently stayed three nights in this hotel as it is central to all the local sites ie Kelpies, Falkirk Wheel, Stirling Castle and the National Railway Museum which we came to visit! The Kelpies are a 20 mins steady walk so you can see them very easily in both the daytime and evening when they are lit up. From the Kelpies you can walk along the canal thro a small woodland to the Wheel. This takes around 80 mins!! My review has three elements: The hotel is an old building which has been completely renovated inside and has a really nice ambience. It is located close to the M9 but the traffic noise was minimal and we are very light sleepers. The hotel provides breakfast and afternoon tea but no evening meals…these are available in CooKs restaurant which shares a big car park with the hotel and is very good with reasonable prices!….see separate review! There is a bar in the hotel if you just need a drink in the evening! Check in was friendly and very efficient and our room was in the garden room building at the back of the hotel. Our room 207 was large and very modern with a nice decor. All facilities were provided including good lighting, king sized bed, big tv, water, tea and biscuits etc. The bathroom was also a good size with nice big bath towels, bath/shower and plenty of hot water! Breakfast is inside the hotel in a very nice breakfast room! There was a good choice of continental breakfast type items ie cereals, fruit, cakes and fruit juices which was followed by a full Scottish breakfast. If you prefer a smaller breakfast they will serve you with bacon or sausage baps, poached eggs on toast etc. plenty of toast and tea/coffee served by two very friendly and efficient ladies
One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Really polite staff and the hotel was spotlessly clean. An ideal base for visiting Edinburgh, the Kelpies and the Falkirk wheel.
Central location, it's
Easy parking and the room was clean and very spacious. The only let down was the breakfast. Certainly not value for money and the coffee was undrinkable.
Comfortable clean room with nice staff at check in
When ordering I told them we were disabled, but when we arrived we were given a room on the first floor. After having to walk outside and along the side of the building to get to our room, we then found the lift was out of order and no way could we manage the stairs. When I asked what if it's raining the guy said "you get wet". They did change our room to downstairs. However you had to cross two car parks to get to the restaurant, so we drove there. If you walked "you got wet". Now breakfast was a different kettle of fish. This was very good and was actually in the hotel and you didn't get wet. To put it mildly. We will not be going back to this hotel.
The hotel itself is lovely and very welcoming. We arrived quite late and had a drink at the bar then checked out the room which was a really good size. Very well presented. My only gripe was the noise early in the morning as we were on the first floor near the car park which woke us up early
Would highly recommend Grange Manor hotel. Staff were really friendly and excellent service. Room spotless and good parking. Food was absolutely lovely and enjoyed murder, mystery night. Definitely go back.
Pleasant stay
Stayed overnight for a wedding reception celebration and it was perfect. Ample parking spaces, great signage to reception. Warm welcome and informative overview of WiFi, amenities and where my room was. My room was so lovely, great view with nobody behind me and had all I needed The Elemis toiletries were gorgeous, the shower (albeit slow) was super toasty, plush towels, and the robe/slippers just finished it off. It was so quiet, as had lots of doors before getting to my room, and I felt safe given I was on my own. Check in and out times are really good, no rush and plenty food/drink options on site.
Very clean. Good food. Good staff.
Lift not working. Lukewarm water which even cut out altogether during one shower.
Very reasonable price for the accommodation. Room clean. Hotel staff were nice and the service from the two waitresses in Cooks restaurant was great. A bit noisy on the Saturday evening as our room was very near the wedding venue therefore difficult to sleep. Another seemed planned for the Sunday so would have been two nights in a row had we not been checking out. If returning we would ask for a room on the opposite corridor. Overall a nice stay
The staff were lovely, polite and efficient. Location was good for a stopover on the drive to northern Scotland. Breakfast was very tasty. The bedroom was spacious, very clean and the bed was comfy but the decor is tired. Lift was broken and appears to have been so for a while.
This was the quietest hotel I have ever stayed at 10/10. Excellent breakfast. Even had a go at the black pudding, not quite my cup of tea though. Loved the overnight with you guys.
I enjoyed my stay, however the Hotel itself is a bit tired and could really do with a revamp. Friendly polite staff.
Hotel check in was good. Nice staff. Good breakfast. Hotel property is fairly tired looking
The carpets were very old. Some of the cupboard drawers were not closing properly; the screws, nut and bolt were loose. Lot of humidity in one of the rooms. No fans were available. Just an average stay
Lovely looking place, very clean, only bugbear hotel bar was dead at 9.00,( not hotels fault) had to wait a bit for Barman as only one on, and he was in different part of hotel, so ended up getting taxi to town
Nice hotel conveniently located for visiting Doune Castel, the Kelpies, Falkirk Wheel, and Blackness. Breakfast was wonderful and hotel was quiet despite hosting a lively wedding. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.
A manor building
On arriving we met really friendly, warm staff. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The food was good and tasted fresh. Breakfast was fantastic and had everything we needed and more. The cooked breakfast was high quality, again staff were lovely, helpful and friendly.
After a nice check in at the lovely reception area things went downhill. Opened door into room and strong Smokey smell . The room itself wasn’t the cleanest however the bathroom was ok cleanliness wise. Sadly toilet required flushing action several times to actually flush and shower head permanently dripped water . Certainly not 4 star standard 🙁
This hotel does not warrant a 4 star rating. The Garden Wing's lift was out of order for the complete 5 days of our stay. Not good, when one has difficulty using stairs. There was no mention made on booking, or on our arrival that our accommodation would be external to the main hotel building and that one would have to walk outside the hotel when going to the breakfast room. On several days this was in the rain. The room provided does not have sufficient light when trying to read whilst on and in bed (this is a common fault with most hotels). The cooked breakfast ordered was often served before one had finished eating ones cereals, therefore becoming cool. Traffic noise from the adjacent motorway (M9) could have been mitigated by the use of triple glazed windows.
Huge let down. Bought Dinner /bed/breakfast deal. Room called an executive king, good. Clean well furnished and spacious. Sadly that what where it ended. Diner provided by Cooks a building in the car park. It was abysmal. A huge menu should have been a warning. Bland food in a plastic environment. Not even sticky toffe could redeem this meal. Hoping for better at breakfast. Sadly I hoped in vain. A pleasant room with a nice buffet for cereal fruit etc However the cooked breakfast. . . 2 burnt rock hard slices of black pudding and a rock hard 1/2 cooked tomatoe . Scrambling egg hot and tasty
Bedroom have sockets from last century.
The photos don't do the hotel justice. It's really beautiful. It's not a new hotel, but it's well-maintained and spotless. I'm from the Caribbean, and I'm used to having air conditioning or fans. They didn't have air conditioning, but they gave me a fan because I couldn't sleep. That impressed me. I went with my baby, and they had a crib for her in the room. I'm very happy, and I highly recommend it. It's in a great spot for public transportation.
Walking distance to the magnificent kelpies, decent restaurant. Nice bar. Friendly staff. Clean, comfortable and well located for a short drive to airport.
Very close to the motorway which was great - easy to find and plenty of room to park. We had been given a garden room ( although our view was another building) and the room could only be accessed by going outside the main hotel. The room was quite spacious as was the bathroom but the bed was a just a normal size double and quite small. There was a smell of stale cigarettes outside the entrance and later that evening there were people stood outside smoking which meant the smell came right up and through the window - we discovered later that there was a stand ashtray at the entrance for smokers, directly under our first floor window but this should have been away from the bedrooms because it was not very pleasant! Our dinner was at the Cooks Restaurant and the service was great, the food freshly cooked and hot and we enjoyed our meal. Breakfast the next day - once again great service, friendly and helpful staff - dining room was lovely and in the main building. Overall a good stay, but the stale cigarette smoke would really put me off from staying again.
Quick business pit stop
Room was quite dated but clean & bed confortable so great for an overnight business trip. Shower quite poor, not very powerful. Worth noting that they host quite a lot of events so may be some entertainment noise in the evening. Did not use the food facilities.
We went for Afternoon Tea and was disappointed, sandwiches were a weird variety, the scones didn't look homemade and the cakes well, the strawberry tart base could have broken your teeth, chocolate cake was 110% a slice of a bought in cake and the pavlova wasn't up to much, was given a teapot with 5 tea bags in it and a pot of hot water, guessing its so the staff don't need to come back and offer more drinks.
Just back from a really nice afternoon tea, was greeted by very friendly efficient staff, we were shown into a really quaint tea room called Rosie’s tearoom by a lady who l’m sure was called Rosie, she couldn’t have been more helpful, we had a wowcher voucher and decided to upgrade to savoury for a little bit extra, my husband also had a plate of lentil soup which he said was delicious, l had phoned ahead to ask for plain ham sandwiches for 2 of our family , l have never seen so much ham in a sandwich, we had sausage rolls, haggis Bon bons, 4 sandwiches each, warm homemade scones, strawberry tart, meringues and fruit loaf, we couldn’t have faulted it ,first time my husband has had an afternoon tea and he was raving about it we all thoroughly enjoyed it, the staff are so welcoming, the young girl who also served us was really lovely, hotel is spotless, toilets especially, we are an hours drive away but wouldn’t hesitate to come back, next time we come we’re going to try the cooks restaurant, menu looks really nice, what we liked about it was it was a traditional afternoon tea, a lot of places try to make it different but this hotel didn’t, cant wait to visit again,
Stayed in this hotel as my son was attending a competition on the Sunday. Room was dated, TV remote did not work but worse thing was the noise coming from the function room. Phoned to complain and was told the function finished at midnight. No other rooms available so had to stay in that one. Emailed hotel - nothing back. On a positive breakfast was good and waiting staff friendly. Suggest avoiding unless you are attending the event.
Lovely solid old property, lots of character. Some small signs of wear and tear on the old building
Quaint manor, staff very helpful. We were suffering terrible with jet lag and staff were able to get our room ready a bit earlier , so grateful. Dinner was next door and highly recommended. Bed was comfortable, room was spacious. Maybe a few too many spider webs and daddy long legs ( spiders) around. Attention to detail needs addressing , to ensure adequate number of towels for guests in the room. Silver plate on the table with only one drinking glass? Not sure what that was about as no bottles water supplied. Maybe the tiles in the bathroom need a good scrub to get rid of the soap scum. But in saying that the room was perfect. Breakfast was great , staff were great and efficient service. I even tried haggis and black pudding for the very first time and enjoyed it :) I highly recommend staying here and we would definitely stay here again.
Local for our requirement and great rooms and breakfast
We went for afternoon tea and were very disappointed. It was not at all value for money (and we were using a ‘Wowcher’ so it was at a reduced price), the sandwich fillings were very boring (and the tuna one was like cat food), there was only one scone per person, and the cake selection was uninspiring. Afternoon tea is supposed to be a treat, this felt like we’d been given leftovers from last week’s buffet. No effort had been made at all to make it a stand out afternoon tea which would entice visitors to come back. A memorable afternoon tea for ALL the wrong reasons. Unlikely to return.
Good
Although the lift was worryingly slow it worked. Evening meal at adjoining restaurant was pleasant, breakfast very buisiness like and fresh. Huge plus was only 15 minute walk to the Kelpies.
Stayed two nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. The overall cleanliness throughout the hotel was very good. The check-in process was paper-based, which felt rather old-fashioned, and the lift to the first floor was frankly unnerving – very slow, seemingly limited to two people despite its size, and something the receptionist warned us about. The location is handy enough for road links but undeniably industrial, nestled between an Asda depot and the motorway. If you’re staying in the garden wing, definitely ask for a room facing the main hotel rather than the motorway — it was literally a choice between having fresh air in the room or dealing with traffic noise. The room was spacious, but felt stuck in a bit of an 80s time warp. It also had a faintly foisty smell — not overpowering or especially unpleasant, but definitely noticeable. The bed, unfortunately, was one of the most uncomfortable I’ve encountered in a hotel – lumpy, bumpy, and far below what you’d expect for this price. A Premier Inn Hypnos mattress would be a serious upgrade. Breakfast was actually quite good, with helpful staff and good-quality produce. I’d definitely recommend going for the full Scottish — it was the highlight of the stay. That said, having to pre-book a time slot felt unnecessary and a bit rigid for a 4-star hotel. Overall, it served its purpose for a two-night stay, but the experience just didn’t match the price. It’s crying out for a refurbishment and a bit more care. At the absolute minimum, please update the mattresses.
It is a nice quiet place to stay. They have an on-site restaurant and bar. There is also a restaurant next door. They are just minutes from attractions like the Kelpies.
The staff were great! Place was really nice.
We called at the Grange Manor Hotel for afternoon tea. We recieved a gift voucher for the savoury afternoon tea for 2 at christmas and time has flown by it was about to expire. What a lovely gift and experience. The hotel is easy to locate via SatNav. Plenty of Parking. The outside looks beautiful. We asked at reception who i have to say were helpful on the phone prior. We had planned to bring our dog with us but plans changed the staff were so friendly and helpful at this enquiry. We were greeted into Rosies tea room by a lovely lady. Our table was ready. The food afternoon tea was lovely, hot fresh scones, strawberry tarts and even sausage rolls with the sandwiches. All served on lovely china. What a lovely experience.
Very dated room. Shower
Very impressive property and room was a good size. However, there were no sockets close to the bed apart from the very old 5A round pin ones for the bedside lamps, one of which could only be switched off by unplugging it. The bed was very uncomfortable, the bathroom extractor made a racket for several minutes after being switched off, and the shower was feeble. Not a great stay.
Clean and comfortable stay. Breakfast was excellent.
Having always use Premier Inns, we decided their prices had gone to high, so we thought we would try smaller hotels & weren’t we pleased we did. This was a very pleasant break in a 600 mile trip to Scotland
Very clean and lovely helpful staff beds were super comfy too!
Our room was in a separate building to the main building which didn't appear to have a secure entry to it. The corridor had things left lying around next to the stairs like bedding etc. our room was tired with rusting on the bathroom mirror, marks on the bath enamel and the carpet in the room was threadbare in places. There was also a musty old smell in the room.
As a room only, couldn't wish for anything better. Ideally located for us between starting point and end point.
Friendly atmosphere no hassle justi straight forward
I paid under £100 midweek for an Executive Double Room on B&B which I though decent value. Having a look around the hotel, my guess is there's a number of rooms in the original building plus many more in the modern 'Garden Wing' to the rear; this perhaps explains the different experiences of guests. My room (103) in the original building had a lovely high ceiling, desk, wardrobe and comfortable easy chairs. The furniture looks Edwardian era but is all new, of course. Everything was clean, as was the en-suite. However, the plumbing needs a serious look - I never achieved more than a just-tepid shower after a lot of gurgling from the hot tap. When I mentioned this at reception, they were surprised I hadn't been warned. Work needed here! Everything else was fine, friendly staff, decent Belhaven at the bar and no quibbles when I asked for a jug of milk for teas and coffee in the room. A quick look around the room found bath-robe and slippers, safe, hair-dryer etc. as expected and complementary bottles of water. The WiFi wasn't blazing fast but OK for a Zoom call and streaming YouTube. My room faced the main road and the windows are single glazed casement which did rattle once or twice in the wind. However, there are heavy curtains to deal with any draft. As other reviewers have pointed out the hotel has been encircled by developments so don't come expecting panoramic views of the countryside. There's the M9 on one side and an Asda warhouse on the other. Breakfast was really nice with a good selection of Continental options plus a range of cooked food including the homely bacon bap which was an welcome change from a full Scottish. Dinner is served in the seperate Cook's Bar & Kitchen. With the exception of the erratic plumbing I was quite content with my stay here.
The hotel was lovely very comfortable beds the TV needed updating very basic channels and no way of connecting a device to it to stream. The staff who greeted us on arrival were lovely ahd welcoming. The receptionist who checked us out on Monday morning, not so much. She didn't bother ask how our stay was or if everything was okay. Pretty much a fundamental part of the checkout process! Overall it is a nice hotel just needs a little bit of tlc and some investment and it could be amazing.
Very nice and clean. The only place we don’t have to ask for the baby cot because it was already there in the room when we arrived. Very clean and fantastic mattress.
Handy place to stay for a short break
Spacious room with comfortable bed and pillows. Lovely building and gardens. Free parking. Friendly staff. Close to attractions.
Very well placed for access to and around Falkirk and Grangemouth.
I've stayed here numerous times over the years, a lovely hotel. Breakfast is freshly cooked to order, staff are always very friendly and helpful. Also the food at Cooks restaurant is highly recommended.
Food was excellent, staff was very helpful and friendly. Comfortable armosphere.
Stayed 1 night, disappointed that we were not in the main building and the hotel was not busy only 8 rooms booked that night. Had dinner in the adjacent restaurant Cooks was lovely and the waitress was really friendly. Breakfast in the morning was freshly cooked which makes such a difference as I’m not a fan of a buffet breakfast. Overall a nice hotel but nothing special
Four of us had afternoon tea today & have to say, it was great. The service was excellent from the moment we set foot through door. We were seated in the lovely conservatory area & our tea & coffee order taken within minutes. The food arrived very quickly & had 4 different sandwich selection, warm scones & 3 different little cakes. Really excellent value. The staff checked on a number of occasions if we needed fresh tea/coffee or anything else & gave us bags to take away any surplus goodies. Highly recommended. Thank you for a lovely afternoon out!
Great location clean room and really good restaurant
The staff were pleasant and helpful
The hotel was lovely but we had absolutely no hot water whatsoever. The shower was stone cold. The water pressure in the wash basin was terrible and also freezing cold. The toilet only flushed now and again.
Had a lovely overnight stay Had food in restaurant next door & food was very nice also drinks in bar & even though bar man was busy doing lots of jobs he still had time for a quick chat
Booked through booking. Com as a dig friendly hotel. Put into a rough room, no heating, carpet a mess. They still wanted the money!!! Eventually downgraded to a double, due to heating not working in room. Receptionist didn't seem too happy! Just because I have a dog, doesn't mean to say say I should have a cold room with no heating!! Not impressed with attitude of Receptionist!!!!
Room was ok, bed was comfy, reception when i checked in was miserable but checking out the lady was nice. Didn't eat so can't make comment
Great stay, we had booked a luxury room, but on arrival was told there were none available, so we stayed in a garden room, No issues with this, great sized room. Breakfast was fabulous, the dogs even got a breakfast sausage. Hotel was super dog friendly, and all the staff were lovely to deal with. Hotel is in a great location for the Kelpies.
The Grange Manor Hotel in Grangemouth is perfectly situated for exploring nearby attractions. Our spacious, luxurious room was immaculate, and our dog was treated like royalty—even receiving a breakfast sausage she adored. The friendly staff provided swift, excellent service during the fantastic breakfast. Cook’s Bar & Kitchen, located on-site, offered outstanding Scottish cuisine in a warm and welcoming atmosphere for great value. We’ll definitely return; our only suggestion would be for softer pillows.
Stayed over due to location being near The Kelpies. We ordered room service for dinner as we visited with our toddler. The food was superb, and the sauce for the Tikka was amazing! The staff were delightful, friendly and the room was a fabulous size. Downside was the very outdated room (we stayed in 104). It boasted of old furniture/decoration, wooden window frames that let a very cold draft in and sounded as though the window was open when closed. The voile curtain was discoloured due to it's age, there was a yellow stain on the duvet cover near the pillow end, the grout lines in the bathroom were in need of bleaching and a scrub. We did require a cot, normally we would always travel with our own including a mattress. This time we wished to travel lighter and regretted it. The cot supplied was very overused. The base dipped which resulted in the boards near the center to lift up causing a very uncomfortable, uneven surface to sleep on. It wasn't fit to be used as it was, therefore requested a single duvet and used this folded with the boards in the middle. Even though the rooms are in dire need of a makeover, new cots need supplying (they honestly should not be used and feel sorry for anyone's child using one) we would stay here again, especially for the food and kind service.
Stayed here and the location was just perfect, was greeted by Jennifer whom I spoke to previously about my booking from start to finish was lovely. The hotel and the room was clean and staff are very attentive answering any queries we had as we took along our wee dog. The high tea I booked was absolutely amazing and Aidan who served us was such a wee gem and our breakfast was also delicious. Couldn’t fault anything and would definitely be booking again.
I was in a room in the main building the first room had a noisy extractor fan outside so the receptionist kindly moved my to another. This room was far better than any I've stopped in previously warm quiet with a shower and spotlessly clean.
My friend booked a lunch (high tea) . Choices were savoury or sweet. First problem for myself was , no savoury for a Gluten Free person - prejudice!! Second problem- my friends got a lovely display of sandwiches, cakes and scones on a 3 tier display cake stand . My GF was on an oblong dish with no appetising display… - prejudice. I felt very conscientious indeed. Anyway I got on with it… !! I asked the waitress for Jam for my scone, she actually tutted at me and pointed to the jam which my 3 friends were using…!! I explained to the waitress about cross contamination when your Coeliac. Needless to say I was not impressed by this at all. Therefore GF don’t visit, the staff nor chef have no consideration and it’s too much bother.
Our organisation had their 40th anniversary ball here and we were so well looked after. The food was excellent and everything went smoothly. All our requests were catered for, especially by the events coordinator, Susan Van der Valt. We will certainly consider the hotel for any future events.
Rooms dated and tired the mattress was uncomfortable. I found my bathroom dirty and not cleaned hair in bath and a used bar of soap. Window cracked so a cold draft in room. The bar area is nice and a good choice of drinks and the restaurant excellent.
Experience was not like the 1st afternoon tea. I was very disappointed. The vegetarian option was thrown together at the last minute. Sandwich was cucumber lettuce tomato and charcoal red pepper. Vegetarian savoury onion bahja 6 small ones didn't taste nice. Cakes chocolate torte stuck to the roof of my mouth. Caramel Shortcake was OK. The scones well nothing to put on them. Perculated coffee was a dish water. Asked twice for a latte. Never again
An excellent stay - the hotel is quiet and very clean. The room was just the right temperature in cold weather with an extremely comfortable bed. The staff were accommodating and provided a good service! The restaurant next door served good quality food and drinks at a reasonable price.
Good sized room. Friendly receptionist. All you need for a one night stay. The restaurant was handy and on site. Very clise to the Kelpies which was the purpose of our visit. I would recommend x
My 1st visit. I took my sister for Afternoon Tea. Dried bread sandwiches, squirty cream for the scones that were dry and plain. The cakes were in a pre made case with more squirty cream. The fizz was bubbly. The staff, attentive. I wouldn’t go back.
Dirty carpets
I stayed at the grange manor with my partner, we had a great time. Fantastic food in cooks and we found all staff we met were friendly and attentive. Great location for a trip to the kelpies or the Falkirk wheel. We will definitely return in the future.
Enjoyed it, staff were very friendly. 👍😊
Our room was upgraded to a lovely, large room in the original building. The people were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic.
Check in was fine and efficient, however whilst the room is a good size, its appointment is not so good. Why no coffee table for the 2 easy chairs? Why only one mug? No glasses for the bathroom. A shortage of plug sockets. Overall the stay could have been better.
Rooms are dated and tatty, a lot of stains and marks on furnishings. I found the mattress hard and lumpy. The wifi was ok for emailing and my room quiet if a bit cold. The old heater took some warming up.
Very friendly staff. Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Easy parking. Rooms are situated up some stairs so be prepared if carrying luggage. Not a problem for us but wanted to point out for other travelers.
Excellent breakfast
Nice friendly staff, good location Dining options were good
Easy walk to the Kelpies, very good restaurant, nice staff, room very clean, tub and shower, comfortable bed. 20 minute drive from airport.
The price doesn't meet the hotel's conditions. Kegel had water and mould inside, there was no hot water in the shower. Rooms had a bad smell This is the expense room I had pay for during my holidays and the worst
Lovely hotel. Great location. Handy for a walk to see the Kelpies at night
Wonderful stay, good food right next door. What more could we ask for!!
A very comfortable & pleasant stay .
Able to walk at night to the Kelpies was the reason to stay at the Grange Manor. We liked the ease of moving around on the property. The dining options are okay but not sure why you need reservations when noone is there at Cook's. The room was good but the towel warmer did not come on. Friendly greeting and help when we checked in was our highlight and taxi arrangement much appreciated.
