Reviewed Sep 19, 2026The location is terrific the beds are comfortable and the check in is straightforward.
We were in room 5 and the light coming in through the thin curtains from the street lights was way too bright. There is also a fair amount of noise from revellers in the street up till around 2 in the morning. They really need to replace the curtains with much thicker heavier curtains. That will stop the light coming in and also help muffle the street noise.

Le rapport qualité prix. Plus de 200 euros par nuit pour un logement avec un lit minuscule pour deux personnes, plein de poussière en dessous du lit, le savon de la douche devrait être changé car je ne sais pas ce qu il contenait, heureusement j'avais prévu le coup au cas où. Le confort du lit laisse à désirer. Je me suis réveillée chaque matin avec un mal de dos. Le bruit constant dès que quelqu'un prend une douche. Ce n'est même pas le bruit extérieur le plus dérangeant mais le bruit intérieur dans l'immeuble, ma mère était réveillée chaque jour vers 6h du matin,... Une douche... Une chasse d'eau et bienvenue le bruit ! Ça ne vaut pas son prix !

Very noisy, stairs difficult to climb with suitcases, no shelving to put things on, shelf on the bathroom sink meant couldn’t bend over sink. Plumbing needs updating can hear other guests showering, noise from other rooms.

Bed was not what was advertised. When I questioned the size they said it was an Irish King and it was 5 ft wide. I am 5ft and I was taller than the width. Outside the shower the wall was in need of repair so it felt dirty.

puede molestar llevar las valijas unos pisos, pero nada grave. Lo único que si fue una molestia fue no poder dejar las valijas en recepción hasta hacer el check-in, sino que tuve que encontrar otro lugar en el pueblo donde dejarlas ya que no tenían un armario. Muy facilmente mejorable eso pero bueno.

Abbiamo messo il cartellino fuori e la biancheria é stata cambiata e l'acqua fmda bere in brocca aggiunta oltre le cialde e le mascherine. Ti dita o di mascherine contro la luce e tappi per le orecchie. Sincermante non ho snetito rumore. Ottimo con una bimba.
Solo il lavandino é piccolo ma é trascurabile come cosa.

Nei dintorni si trovano diversi parcheggi a pagamento, quindi molto pratica anche per chi arriva in auto. La struttura è senza personale in loco, ma gestita perfettamente: indicazioni e codici di accesso vengono forniti in modo chiaro. Camera confortevole e pulita, con piacevoli attenzioni come bottigliette d’acqua, bollitore e macchina da caffè, il bagno finestrato e dotato di un’ampia doccia.

No parking on-site however there was parking a short walk away. Beware it is quite pricey.

It would have been a lot better if there was in room AC. It got pretty hot during the day. Also, since there is no on site parking it was a bit of a pain to figure out and pay for.

Het was heel onprettig dat we van te voren niet wisten dat er geen personeel zou zijn. Onze navigatie kende geen The Galway Rooms. Op het adres vonden wij The Galway Arms. Ter plekke was er een roze deur waar boven The Galway Rooms geschreven stond maar die deur zat op slot. Daarom hebben wij het telefoonnummer op onze boekingsbevestiging gebeld en na de nodige verificatie kregen we een app met de codes. Eentje voor de roze deur en eentje in de handgreep van de kamer deur. In het trappenhuis rook het niet fris. De kamer en de gangen vonden wij het gepimpte oude meuk met een modern verfje. Wij waren hier twee nachten en na ons vertrek kregen we alsnog een mail met hoe het met die code ging. Na onze reactie daarop werd gezegd dat Booking.com hun mails te laat doorstuurt.

Reviewed Jul 1, 2026This was such a cute place to stay in Galway. We were sent our check-in instructions on time, they were easy and the place was super clean. Honestly, we saved money by staying in this part of Galway and everything was accessible by walking. Highly recommend.
Only thing was there was a lot of stairs to our room, but not a huge deal

It would be great to have a fan. The air sits, which caused us to have to open the windows, which was a bit loud. We were fine with the noise until a car alarm kept going off. The windows are sound dampening which is fantastic, but if there was a fan in the room, we wouldn’t have had to open the window. Also the tv volume was stuck at 35 (???) which we found quite loud in the space

Reviewed Jun 23, 2026The rooms were very quiet. Location was perfect. To get to the Latin Quarter we only had to walk across the bridge. My wife loved the downtown market set up near the Spanish Arch. The live music of the town was exceptional. The room was clean and modest and that's all we could hope for. We ended our night at Carroll's Pubs just down the street and had an absolutely wonderful time with the live music!
There was not anything that was disappointing about our stay.

When the code changed there was no warning so caused some confusion when trying to get in. And no fridge meant couldn't really enjoy the tea and coffee facilities.

I had no tv channels, was told it was a smart TV. I don't think it was connected as 3 people tried to get the channels but couldn't. The following day they said someone would fix it but it was the same. The room was very small, disappointing for what I paid for it! There was a chair in the room that was most uncomfortable, no cushion!

Reviewed Jun 14, 2026ontbijt is niet inbegrepen, maar schuin tegenover een fantastisch tentje (city pantry cafe) waar je heerlijk je ontbijt kan nuttigen. Inchecken kan zelf en informatie daarover kan je op je whatsapp ontvangen, allemaal prima geregeld
de gordijnen zijn erg licht. waardoor het al vroeg in de ochtend licht is. Maar de accommodatie heeft wel van die oogklepjes om je ogen te bedekken, alleen kan ik daar niet mee slapen. Misschien een licht zwart laken wat je over de gordijnen kan hangen, of extra verduistering zoals in een hotel. De badkamer is wat klein en gehorig, dus je moet elkaar wel goed kennen om samen op de kamer te slapen en te verblijven.

Tv was very small. And volume wouldn't work. Had to adjust EQ to turn down. When I contacted caretaker. All I got was a response with steps to try to solve the problem. Spend the money and buy a better and bigger TV.
