Reviewed Sep 14, 2026Habitación y baño grandes y cómodos. Café, creamer, te y kettle. Bien ubicado, cerca de las cosas a visitar y pubs. Checkin independiente con código. Hay algo de ruido por el pub de abajo pero a nosotros no nos molestó.
Escaleras para subir habitación, aunque nos pusieron en el primer piso. Pudimos aparcar en la puerta, aunque es zona park&display con máximo 2 horas de 8:30 a 18:30, por lo que es difícil encajarlo al plan (no se puede renovar el pago sin mover el coche de calle o zona).

Al edificio le da el sol todo el dia y nuestra habitación era un horno en pleno Julio y en ola de calor. No estan acostumbrados a esa temperatura y por ende tampoco tienen ventiladores. Para colml está arriba de un pub por lo que si dejas la ventana abierta para que por la noche entre algo de aire frío, el ruido que entra es muchísimo. Le pedimos un ventilador al chico que nos atendió y nos ignoró completamente. Como so fuera poco, al ser último piso el techo esta inclinado y casi no puedes caminar. Apenas pudimos dormir.

The stairs are quite steep to get into the room so just be mindful with suitcases. Also the shower is about a foot off the ground so getting in and out was tricky even for a young person especially after a shower.

Bagno poco comodo per poggiare asciugamani niente mobili. Stanza non molto spaziosa Non si capisce dove sia non ci sono indicazioni chiare per trovate ingresso. Moquette in camera da evitare poco igienica specie quando piove

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026Guesthouse muy bien ubicada, en pleno centro de Galway y a pocos minutos a pie de los principales puntos de interés, pubs, restaurantes y comercios. En nuestro caso disfrutamos de un espacio que incluía dos habitaciones separadas con camas gemelas, ambas cómodas y con todo lo necesario para pasar un par de noches, incluyendo tetera, plancha y otros pequeños detalles. La comunicación con la guesthouse fue excelente desde el momento de la reserva. Nos facilitaron toda la información necesaria antes de nuestra llegada y respondieron siempre con rapidez y eficacia a nuestras dudas. Además, llegamos antes de la hora prevista de check-in y, para nuestra sorpresa, las habitaciones ya estaban preparadas, lo que nos facilitó mucho la llegada. En conjunto, una opción muy recomendable si se busca estar en pleno centro de Galway y tener todo a mano, especialmente por la excelente comunicación y la facilidad del check-in.
Como aspecto a tener en cuenta, y tal y como se nos informó desde el momento de la reserva, la ubicación tan céntrica implica cierto ruido nocturno. La guesthouse está situada en una calle con varios pubs y el ruido procede principalmente de la gente que permanece en la calle y, a determinadas horas, de servicios como la recogida de basura, más que del propio pub situado debajo del alojamiento. Nosotros pudimos dormir sin problemas, pero creo que es algo importante a valorar para personas con dificultades para conciliar el sueño.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026Woodquay is an excellent central location, check in was easy, the room was clean and Toni was a good communicator. We selected Woodquay house as it was the cheapest twin room with private bathroom available in the city centre. It lived up to our priorities.
We stayed in room 2 and there was a strong bad odour in the room. Tip: turn the front door knob further anti-clockwise than you expect in order for it to open.

Si trova sopra un bar e diversi altri bar e pub si trovano nelle immediate vicinanze. Al momento della prenotazione i titolari ci hanno avvisato che, inevitabilmente, arrivano i rumori dei vari locali, ma per noi non era assolutamente un problema. Ottima la comunicazione.

Jede Nacht spätestens um 5.30 Uhr gab es furchtbaren Lärm . Bierfässer und Gasflaschen wurden ein- und ausgeladen . Leere Flaschen wurden entsorget usw. Durchaus notwendige Dinge aber um diese Uhrzeit ?!

There was only 2 coffee bags in total so could only have coffee one morning. The fan needs replacing, barely works and the iron leaks water so soaked my top and I couldn't iron it.

Reviewed Jul 10, 2026The room was quite nice and comfy with single beds. There was coffee, tea and cold water for arrival, which was very thoughtful. It was spacious for 2 guests. It is true that it is right above a pub, but with earplugs and if you are tired enough, the noise was more than bearable, we expected worse. The bar under is very cozy and has some tasty beer and the live music was quite an irish experience, we enjoyed it. The neighbourhood is calm during daytime and everything is in short distance.
Some shelves or hangers in the bathroom would be useful. The lack of communication was a bit uncertain.

Friendly staff, room was ready before check in time and the staff were happy to check us in early, though also indicated they could have held our bags till check in time. After checking out the staff held our bags till the afternoon (in the pub next door), when our train trip was due.
There is noise from the pub next door and one out the back. It didn't stop us sleeping and if you are out till late it wont be a factor.

We had heavy bags, so it was a bit hard to get up two flights of stairs. Also one side of room was quite sloped ceiling, so easy to bump head when getting out of bed.

Las camas y los colchones son muy incomodos, estan muy usados, estan muy usados, han perdido la forma y estan hundidos de forma que resultan muy poco comodos. Eso era en 3 de los 4 colchones. El agua caliente salió hirvinedo ! casi provocando quemaduras, y no habia forma de regular y bajar la temperatura del agua. El papel de la pared se cae a trozos.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026Ottima posizione in pieno centro di galway e ottimo prezzo confronto altre strutture. Camera abbastanza spaziosa e bagno ben pulito ( il sapone alla ciliegia era buonissimo 😂 ) Sulla scrivania ci sono due biscotti e bustine the / caffè per la colazione.
L'unica cosa forse era la musica alta del locale di sotto ma io ero talmente stanca dell'escursione alle scogliere che ho dormito come un sasso , però per chi ha il sonno leggero può dare fastidio

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026Die Unterkunft liegt über einem kleinen Pub, allein das macht die Unterkunft besuchenswert. Das Zimmer ist liebevoll eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Die Lage ist sehr zentrumnah und man erreicht alle wichtigen Ziele (Zentrum, Bahnhof, Busbahnhof, Supermarkt) in wenigen Minuten.
Durch den Pub kann es (wie angekündigt) mit Mitternacht etwas laut werden. Der Teppich könnte mal eine Grundreinigung gebrauchen, grundlegend war das Zimmer aber sehr sauber.

Reviewed Jun 9, 2026Neu renovierte und stylisch eingerichtete Zimmer. Alles sauber und gepflegt. Hygieneartikel, Kaffee und Tee, Fön und Bügeleisen im Zimmer. Zimmer über der Bar, was nicht stört. Bar sehr gemütlich und freundliches Personal. Durften die Koffer nach eem Check out dort aufbewahren. Gute 20-25 Minuten zu Fuß ins Zentrum.

We didn’t mind too much but just be aware you are staying above a pub so it can get a little loud because of the live music.
