Treatment was bad and we felt so humiliated the old man switch off the hot water it was drama we had to go to him and negotiate ask him to open the water for us until he came and live cold note which says presure water will be open from 7pm till 8pm.. This old man has not respect for any black people, the best solution he must ask booking.com to for only white people... His greetings to us was to embrassed us infront of his guest saying directly to me I did not fully payed the whole amount yet he doesn't even know who I am... I hated everything he switch off the water for us he than said we must not use the toilet and if we use it he said we must go to the pool and fetch the water yet he doesn't even know how well we know umhlanga or do we have any family or friends around, we just look as him coz we not fools... We black people with highly class standards

The only thing was that we had one big shower towel and one tiny towel that wouldn't have fit around either of us, with having two adults it would be best to have two large towels.

We really couldn't see the value in the place for the price we paid for 2 nights. The unit is small and cramped with very little room for 2 people to move around in. The bed was not comfortable at all. I believe it is extremely over priced for the limited space it offers.

Reviewed Jan 8, 2026The fact that the owner was there to welcome and orientate us about the surroundings, there was constant communication which made our journey to be much more easier and memorable, the hospitality and logistics were absolutely amazing, it was unfortunate that we were unable to extend our stay as it was fully booked. I would definitely love to go back!!

Reviewed Jan 2, 2026Umhlanga Rocks!l including Casa Ridge!! Loved the location as it’s near Oceans Mall, Umhlanga main beach and plenty restaurants. Safe neighborhood too. Michelle and Denise were quite helpful so was Mavis (pleasant and friendly housekeeper) always cheerful!
Too humid so room had a damp scent that was irritating so would keep AC on or have sliding door abit open (which monkeys would sometimes pass by)..

The highlight was the visit of the monkeys, well behaved, they expected bananas, we delivered to the satisfaction of my 4 year old. The team is so helpful: Denise at reception is a star with emails and finding solutions(helped us book another game park accommodation), Michelle (warm smiles and good communication), Marco, charming, talking and entertaining for my little one. He showed us the dog, talked about marine environment. Wonderful people who trully make you feel at home. The pool was refreshing, great plus. Comfy huge bed. The housekeeping ladies, you are all stars.

Need to sort out the shower head in the ensuite, it's spouting water all over the floor. Maybe also consider having the cleaner come through during one's stay and not only on check out day.

A 4-star hotel (if not mistaken)is generally expected to provide amenities such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, and other personal care items. However, only liquid soap was available during my stay, which does not align with the standards of a 4-star establishment. I trust the management will take steps to improve this aspect.
