Reviewed May 25, 2026Close location to where we needed to be for a Hip Hop Competition Close to supermarkets mall etc Had what you would need to stay cooking etc.
Couple of other teams must of been staying super noisy until nearly midnight two nights in a row so didn’t stay for final night went to Wellington instead. Pictures look better than the place in person quite run down. Noisy if by the road side to like we were as well as noisy guests.

Fridge was not on when I arrived so not cold and ice had melted through it, and one of the cooktop controls is broken so the only way to turn it off is at the wall (which is why it was also turned off).

Reviewed Dec 12, 2025Fantastic location. Close to shops and main roads. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with all you would need to make a meal. Having an oven was a plus and all the utensils provided. Very clean and spacious making it comfortable.

Reviewed Dec 7, 2025We were booked into a studio unit next to the busy road, but were able to change to a one bedroom unit at the rear of the site, which was much better. The motel is next to a school and our unit (once we moved) was quiet and well positioned for Lower Hutt. Staff were accommodating and pleasant.
It was more expensive than other motels and BnBs we stayed at on our trip. It was extra to move to the one bedroom unit.

Reviewed Sep 14, 2025I stayed at this property for 9 days and it had everything one needs including a fridge, microwave, oven, sink and every kitchen gadget along with dishes, utensils, and pots and pans. My room was clean and well appointed. My room was essentially a studio apartment. The prices are very reasonable. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Green Gables will be my go to stay on my next trip to Lower Hutt, Wellington.

The convenient location came with a bit of traffic noise however this didn't bother me.
