Hot Water was not working on Day 2.

Een warme ontvangst, mede dankzij een behulpzame portier. Van de dame bij de balie kreeg ik een complementair drankje aangeboden. Locatie is perfect: op loopafstand van de rivier èn van een prachtig winkelcentrum. Het ontbijt is goed en voldoende. Ook in de avond heerlijk gegeten en vriendelijke bediening.

Niets eigenlijk. Internet lag er even uit maar dat is best wel eens lekker.

Der Service war extrem gut, der beste den wir je hatten. Obwohl der Preis für das Hotel günstig war, gab es 24h Rezeption und egal welches Anliegen wir hatte, es wurde sich sofort darum gekümmert. Beispielsweise bekamen wir Lunchpakete wenn wir früh los mussten und unsere Klimaanlage wurde sofort repariert als die Sicherung raus war. Das Zimmer war geräumig, die Lage war gut und das Frühstück lecker. Beim Frühstück war die Auswahl zwar nicht die größte, vor allem für Vegetarier, aber es war trotzdem sehr lecker und selbst ohne das Frühstück wäre das Hotel den preis absolut wert. Wir können es jedem nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Hotel propre, avec des accessoires pour la toilette dans la salle de bain et gel douche et shampoing. Bien climatisé et confortable. Petit déjeuner bien mais il faut reclamer du thé et des oeufs si on en veut car il n'y en a pas à disposition.

Devoir reclamer du thé et des oeufs au plat. Peut-être, pourrait il indiquer à la clientèle que ces éléments sont sur demande. Il y a un bar mais nous avons renoncé à y aller car les boisson étaient beaucoup trop chères.

Sound proofing in the room not great as can hear people in the next room. The tea making facilities that were supposed to be in the room were not. They would supply a kettle but no tea or coffee. The breakfast was average. The hotel is undergoing a refurbishment and they explained to us on check in that there may be noise during the day but we never heard anything.

My room was a lovely size - the staff were amazingly kind and helpful- everything was clean. Breakfast was ok. I didn’t fancy rice or noodles and not too much choice - but that’s a personal preference. There was fresh watermelon and toast so I was able to have something. I thought the hotel was amazing value for money

Apart from the small breakfast choice there was nothing I didn’t like. The breakfast is not even an issue - the hotel is such good value.

I really liked the location of The Borneo Hotel; it was walking distance to the Borneo Cultures Museum, the riverfront, restaurants, a spa, and a laundry shop. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the first floor and it was a good, clean space with strong AC and clean bathroom. The hotel was undergoing renovations when we stayed in April 2026 but we didn't hear any noise and were not bothered by anything; we were out for most of the day.

大きな通りに面してはいるものの夜騒々しいこともなく快適にすごせました。建物はところどころ古さを感じさせますがしっかり手入れされていると思います。

特にありません。抜群のコスパという訳ではないですが価格に見合った良いホテルだと思います。

Comfy room. Quiet. Great location. Easy to get to the city just by walking. Breakfast was included which was a good deal. Nice cold aircon and a decent TV with netflix available

The shower somehow wasn't hot enough. It was more like average room-cold temperature water only. That's the only downside from my experience.

We were shocked at the quality of the restaurant food. It was so good we did not eat at restaurants downtown.

Walking to downtown was not simple as the sidewalks were not good.

Das Personal war super nett& das Hotel zentral gelegen. Frühstück war ausreichend.

Das Zimmer hat komisch& eklig gerochen. Für heißes Wasser muss man die Dusche 10 Minuten laufen lassen, etwas unnötig. Die Beschilderung der Zimmer ist verwirrend, wir sind erstmal ein paar Runden gelaufen.

We struggled to find a quiet room, as all rooms facing the main street were very noisy, as almost everywhere on Borneo. l'hôtel étant actuellement rénovation (bruit 9-17h), nous avons du changer de chambre car l'odeur de peinture était trop forte. il n'y a pas de bouilloire dans la chambre contrairement au descriptif et une seule paire de chausson pour une chambre de 2 personnes ... un peu bizarre

Gemütliches Hotel mit tollem Personal! Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet und bietet die Möglichkeit, auch asiatisch (z.B. gebratener Reis, Nudeln und Currys) und nicht nur kontinental zu essen! Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig, auch Bad und Dusche boten ausreichend Platz.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer ohne Fenster, was wir auch so gebucht hatten. Leider konnten wir nicht ahnen, dass direkt neben uns eine vierköpfige Familie einquartiert war. Zwischen den Zimmern gab es eine Durchgangstür aus Holz, weshalb man jedes Husten und natürlich die spielenden Kinder hören konnte. Wegen zwei Nächten haben wir das jedoch nicht an der Rezeption reklamiert, hätten wir aber definitiv beim einem längeren Aufenthalt.

Sehr sauber, super funktionierendes Bad, sehr freundliches Personal.Frühstücksangebot in Ordnung.

L’insonorisation des chambres (on entend tout ce qui se passe dans les chambres voisines), mais cet établissement étant en pleine rénovation, gageons que les améliorations effectuées sauront y remédier. Une piscine serait aussi la bienvenue.

The location was very good and convenient for our stay in Sandakan. The rooms were clean, comfortable and everything worked well. Breakfast was also very tasty and a nice start to the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and overall everything went smoothly.

Overall, this is a nice hotel with very helpful and friendly reception staff, and room cleaned to a high standard. Bed was very comfortable and decor was nice. Very good location too.

The internal construction work throughout the 9 days i stayed there. I accepted that work was being undertaken between 9 and 5, but the drilling was sometimes so loud that it felt like it was in the room. Upon my request I received a complimentary coffee, and I put up with it. However to be woken up at 8.15am (on a weekend) by interior construction work is not acceptable I think. But of course renovation work will be completed st some point in the future, and as I say its nice hotel overall.

Unser Zimmer war mit Kunststoff-Parkettboden ausgestattet, sehr sauber und ruhig gelegen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Tolles Frühstücksbuffet mit sehr gutem Kaffee. Das Zentrum ist zu Fuss in wenigen Minuten erreichbar.

1. breakfast was okay, it covers the basic menu and meal, not much choices but it was value for money. For the price you were paying, the breakfast was acceptable, just dont get your hopes to high. 2. the location was okay if you are having cars to navigate around town, has ample parking for the hotel guest. 3. overall, we felt rested throughout our trip to Kuching and would love to come back again in the future.

1. the pillows could have been better if it's a bit firm and not too soft. i like to sleep with a medium-firm pillow 2. you need to request for an indoor slipper if you need one 3. you have to be careful when coming out from the shower as the toilet floor is slippery

Die Lage ist top, am Rande von Chinatown. 6-7 Gehminuten zum ÖV, in 15 min in Marina Bay. Auch die Hotelausstattung (Kühlschrank, Teekocher... sehr bequemes Bett, funktionierende Dusche) ist ok.

Die Rezeption war selten besetzt und wenn, dann wenig freundlich, völlig unpersönlich. Zudem hatte mein Zimmer kein Fenster (! Das heisst, zuerst aus dem Hotel, bevor man weiss, ob's regnet, .. wie man sich anziehen muss ; o(( Ich habe 130 € bezahlt, es war damit mit Abstand das Teuerste meiner langen Asien-Reise. (Singapur-Standard?? In andern habe ich für einen Viertel ein viel besseres Hotel erhalten!!) Preisleistung schlecht! Doch: das Hotel war ausgebucht! Ich lese viele ähnliche Kritiken. Das Hotel wird sich nicht ändern, leider! Fazit: zum Übernachten - wegen der guten Lage - ok, zum Wohlfühlen nicht!! Keine Empfehlung !

Prijs kwaliteit is dit een top hotel. Alles is zeer proper goed bed en het ontbijt vonden wij ook lekker. De ligging is op wandel afstand van de rivier. En nabij het hotel zijn ook restaurantjes Wij zouden zeker terug komen.

Kuching is one of the cleanest city I’ve discovered! And the hotel and room sound the same! I was surprised how clean it is! The employees are so kind and at your disposal for any request. Really nice! I definitely can recommanded!

Obsługa była bardzo miła i pomocna jeśli chodzi o poruszanie się po mieście i wycieczki do Bako National Park czy do Semengoh. Śniadania były pyszne i różnorodne i można było się najeść. Pokój bardzo czysty i z działającą klimatyzacją. Lokalizacja hotelu również na plus.
