My stay exceeded all my expectations. The homestay is actually a house with two spare rooms that have been turned into guest accommodation, which made the whole experience feel much more personal and cozy. The neighborhood felt extremely safe, and the location couldn't be better—right in the city center with everything within easy reach. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel at home from the moment I arrived. The room was spotlessly clean, which was probably the biggest surprise for me. Everything was well maintained and very comfortable. As a bonus, there's also a gentle and adorable cat that made the stay even more enjoyable.

We had an amazing stay here and it was a great first experience of Vietnam. The owner and his brother were both lovely, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. The room itself was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, which made it easy to settle in and relax. The location is also convenient, with several eateries nearby. If you want more options, there is a bus stop close by that can take you into the city. Their beautiful cat was also incredibly affectionate, and you can tell he is very happy and comfortable there, which added a really lovely touch to the stay. Overall, we would definitely recommend staying here.

オーナーのTomさんがとても親切です。私は3階の部屋でしたが、チェックイン、チェックアウト、どちらの時も重いスーツケースを軽々と運んでくれて、心から助かりました。 部屋はとても綺麗で、必要なものは全て揃っています。 ベトナムの水道水は飲めないので、ペットボトルの水を用意していてくれて、とても助かりました。 窓が大きくて、東向きなのか、朝には部屋に朝日が差し込み、ちゃんと目覚めることができます。 表通りから少し入った場所にあるので、車の騒音もそんなに気になりませんでした。 冷蔵庫は共用で一階にありますが、近所に安くて美味しいお店もコンビニもたくさんあるので、結局一度も使いませんでした。 空港へもバスで15分ほどの距離で、バス代は荷物込みで15000VNDです。 宿の近所にはおしゃれなお店が並んでいて治安も良く、Tomさんのご兄弟がやっているカフェもあります。 お値段も安く、次回ホーチミンに泊まるなら、絶対またこの宿に泊まりたいです。 快適な滞在をさせてくれて、ありがとうございました。

A very cozy and welcoming homestay in a perfect location in District 3. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go without any problems, making it an excellent base for exploring Ho Chi Minh City. The host was very attentive throughout our stay and always ready to help whenever needed. The accommodation was comfortable, well maintained, and had everything we needed. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Amazing place and amazing owner. Room was very clean and quiet in a safe, local area. The bed was super comfortable and I had a great time for the whole 3 weeks.

Was super modern and clean! The bathroom was the cleanest/nicest/newest we’ve seen in Vietnam. Bed was super comfortable and ac was great.

It’s in a super quiet alley, but close to the main road and the airport. We were able to leave our backpacks here for our little getaway to Phu Quoc, which was really nice and convenient. We enjoyed our stay very much, and liked that there was a very friendly cat in the house too

Le logement est situé dans un super quartier, plus calme que dans l’hyper-centre mais très local, avec des petites ruelles et des petites places au sein desquelles on observe la vraie vie des habitants! Café et petit déjeuner typique en bas de la rue! La chambre est meublée avec beaucoup de goût, le matelas est confortable (pas trop dur!), la salle de bain est en excellent état, l’eau est chaude. Il y a de nombreuses prises, même au chevet du lit, et le ventilateur et la climatisation fonctionnent parfaitement. Ils ont gentiment accepté de garder nos sacs pour qu’on puisse se balader avant notre train de nuit. Un grand merci à notre hôte, nous aurions aimé rester plus longtemps!

Would 100% recommend staying here! It was really clean, and everything in the room seems relatively new. The bed was one of the comfiest we’ve stayed in while travelling! Great value for money!

I love this place. It is simple but cosy with natural furniture, warm lighting, wooden doors and blind, decorative sink, very good shower. It is relatively quiet with a comfortable bed. I so wish i would have spent more time there. The owner is very friendly and helpful, speaks good english and Soy the cat is a beauty.

I loved everything about this place- clean, comfortable, very well located in a quiet square but near enough to everything, and Tom was so, so helpful to us, spoke great English and answered so many questions for us when we first arrived. We felt so at home here and had a lovely stay :)

Anh chị chủ nhiệt tình lắm. Nhà có một bé mèo Anh lông ngắn. Phòng rộng rãi thoải mái, phòng tắm có rèm lúc tắm. Nhà vệ sinh có đèn chỗ rửa tay bật tự động khi đến gần nên buổi đêm đi ra hoặc lúc mới về phòng không sợ thiếu sáng. Vị trí trong trung tâm thuận tiện đi lại nhiều nơi

Si vous aimez les animaux n’allez pas là bas un chat est attaché nuit est jour dans l’entrée la nuit enfermé dans une minuscule cage où il dort dans sa propre merde. C’est juste horrible, cet animal n’est pas un objet c’est un être vivant!!!!!!!!!

TODO. Está limpio, es precioso, amplio, los dueños son un verdadero amor (hasta recibieron un paquete mío y me lo guardaron hasta que llegué a la ciudad). Está en un lugar muy tranquilo perfecto para dormir y muy cerca del centro. La cama muy cómoda, el baño estupendo, con aire acondicionado, plancha, secador, hervidora.. no dudéis en venir aquí.

The location is excellent, close to everything yet peaceful, and the value for money is fair.

A few things to keep in mind for longer stays: although it’s clearly mentioned in the listing, the lack of a washing machine can become a bit inconvenient over time. Also, the room could benefit from a refresh, the mattress is getting worn out and a replacement would really improve comfort.

Very clean, light, simple cozy room wiht Ac Outside the “center” but in a nice local neighbourhood, if you want to see something else in the city than just the touristic areas

I liked that the room was spacious and all the basic amenities provided including a hair dryer, iron and ample space to hang my clothes. It was at a good location, around 10 mins walk to eateries and spas. I also appreciated that drinking water was provided (I can refill my own bottle).

The stairs were narrow and dark at night, I had to turn on my phone's flashlight to get to my room. It would have been nice if the owner turned the lights on when the surroundings get dark. The owner's dog does bark occasionally at night, but the area is otherwise rather quiet and peaceful.

This was my second stay at Mao Home, and I enjoyed it as much as the first. The host was warm and welcoming. The room was clean and comfy. Will definitely come back to try the host's coffee at his newly opened cafe nearby.

I got the same room this time, but noticed that the TV inside the room got removed. Didn't mind it much, though.

Very spacious for very affordable price. It's very close to La Vela Saigon, the busy junction & quite strategic. I can walk to Pasteur where they have Katinat and Pho Hoa. You can also walk to Tan Dinh Church. The bathroom is clean, all amenities were provided including a hairdryer. The toilet comes with water spray/bidet. The room lighting and ventilation on bathroom also great.

My room located at 4th floor, the stairs are narrow & quiet steep. Luckily I only bring 1 cabin baggage. If you're traveling with children or bring huge suitcase, it may not suit you. The water pressure of the overhead/rain shower also quite weak. While the shower head got some leak. This place located inside small alley, so if you use Grab or taxi, you need to drop or get in from the main road then walk a little bit. If you're Moslem or afraid of dog, be aware because the house have a pet dog that stays at the entrance.

Location was fantastic! Not too touristy, very authentic feel with lots around! Staff were lovely and happy to help with anything you needed.

I loved this place so much! It was definitely the best place we stayed at in HCMC. Felt right at home and the two brothers who run the place are so kind and friendly! Not to mention the wonderful sweet dog Hasso ❤️ I wanted to rebook, but unfortunately it was already booked out. If you have the chance to reserve this place - don’t think twice! It’s lovely 😊

Very good location if y’all are seeking a layover stay, just 15mins to the airport. Everything was awesome during my stay here. The host Tom was extremely helpful and hospitable.

Clean spacious room in a small guesthouse. Bathroom was nice and well above average compared to places in the same price category. Lots of vegetarian food options around. I was sick during my stay and could recover well during my time. Cute and playful dog :).

Not a major issue but while the staff was very friendly there was a language barrier so asking the owners questions via WhatsApp was a better option.

Ours best stay in two weeks of Vietnam. Tom and his brother are great guys. Even the dog at the entry is always friendly and waits for you happy every time. Place is clean, cozy and quite at night. They also make good coffee at the lobby. After first three days at HCMC we went further and left our extra luggage here. No problem with that so we booked extra two nights on the way back. So it was our safe base and it felt good to come back. Definitely a recomendation!

Room was large and clean and the bed was very comfortable. I loved the neighbourhood, it was close to the airport but still in a lovely area with lots to do and see. Host was extremely helpful with some stressful baggage loss issues on my flight to HCM. I would definitely stay here again. Good to get a little out of the busy district 1.
