I had a small breakfast but it was as perfect, the room was nice (sea view)

Have stayed here 3 times in last few years. Reception staff were very nice along with bar staff. Bar very good and choice of food and drinks. Comfy as well Room and bed comfy shower ok It is a nice hotel but a few small issues once sorted be higher rating for me it will go back again soon

Reception not manned all the time caused problems when wanting to speak to someone as it took a long time when ringing bell for attention. This needs to be looked at My friends room (11). Had issues with. Shower being cold /luke warm was reported first day but no Action taken. Reported again day left and it was looked at found issue with shower valve. Reception did compensate with. Free breakfast. But need to look at response to complaints quicker and give feedback without asking. .

We’ve stayed at the Marine many times, it’s a great traditional family run seafront hotel. We had room 19 which was spacious, well furnished, recently decorated and looks out over the bay.

The shower was very grubby with dirty grouting and grime build up in the corners of the door and frame. It wasn’t nice to use and rather let down the experience. It just needed a regular good scrub with bathroom cleaner.

Second time ive stayed here. Brilliant location. Breakfast is nice, rooms are clean and the most comfortable bed ever. Staying in a suite this time. Room was nice and bright. Already booked for next years clubland. Staff are lovely, welcoming and chatty

Sea view from the room was great, sound of the waves lapping overnight was so relaxing Bed super comfortable I was in room 21 on the top floor You couldn’t hear any sound from the bar at all Staff were really friendly

The staff were very friendly rooms very clean though a little tired looking which can't be helped. Food was very good.

They could have done with maybe more clothes storage for those guests wishing to take clothes out of suitcase and hooks in bathroom and hooks by door to hang coat.

I liked the fact it was close to the beach, so you can hear the sea at night, it was warm, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely but tell them if you have any allergies.

I didn’t like that the shower is a huge step up. Also the pillows were a little too firm for me.

Can’t fault the place , all staff were friendly from management, bar staff and housekeeping, it wasn’t our first time there and certainly won’t be the last .

The location of the hotel.

The room had dampness on the ceiling, and there was a strong smell of mould as soon as you entered. My son is asthmatic!!! The noise at night coming from one of the large cylinders attached to the hotel was directly outside my room, which made it very difficult to sleep or rest properly. The bathroom had cigarette-butt stains, which made it look unpleasant and unhygienic. The bed quilt had a stain on marked with blue to which I don't understand why something like that wasn't thrown away at the first place! The walls looked horrible and where all stained and dirty! I do not normally have an English breakfast in the morning; I usually just have a cup of tea and a croissant. Unfortunately, the croissant was not fresh at all, it was packaged and very dry. Furthermore, all the mugs provided during breakfast had tea stains from previous use. Not a single mug appeared to have been properly cleaned. The teaspoons were also in very poor condition and should all be binned.

Located on the seafront with a park for kids just in the front at hotel and italian restaurant nexdoor. The Capitan Cook suite was beautiful & confortable in term of space and view.

The breakfast was decent, but the variety of food could have been better.

The view was amazing, the room I booked (paid extra for a sea view) did not disappoint! Very spacious with adequate seating and facilities - I'd happily stay in there again

It feels pedantic to say given the size of the room and the comfort (did I mention the view?!) but the room itself was a little tired around the edges - potentially mold in the silicon in the bathroom/shower area which i know eventually happens but would be nice if it was removed and redone. Things like dirt around the window sills too but honestly, a minor issue!

The bathroom needs a bit of tlc. The step to the shower is about 30cm, too much for me. Used the sink to wash, but the plug wouldn't come out as no chain.

Large room with wardrobe, desk, 3 chairs, table, king size bed, coffee/tea kettle and nice cups, glasses, spoons, etc, plus a hair dryer and extra pillows. Excellent staff were very helpful. Loved the style and designs of the room and building appointment.

Bed was a bit creaky but not too bad. Because it is a listed building, there was no lift to accommodate our needs but at least the stairs were well carpeted and we had assistance with our luggage.

Room was warm, note we were having heat wave, so we had bathroom and front window open, this meant room was cool enough but road noise was quite loud.

Our Daughter lives nr by so Saturday night lost track of time got back 2045 ok we were late but girl on reception said quick we finish at 2100 my wife needed something for diabetes reasons rushed to the bar girl in there said sorry to late now at 2050 couldn't get food next door either because of football coming on he obviously doesn't need the money we would have left him around £50 but that's not marine s fault couldn't find food anywhere it was our own fault Sunday night didn't read that kitchen closed 2000 ha ha got back 2005 missed singer aswell apart from our own fault forgot about times

The breakfast was good. Free parking. Plenty of restaurant choice locally but the restaurant itself looked busy.

The floors are very noisy, to the point I had to move to a room upstairs and then felt guilty for walking!

Issues with the toilet whereby the contents from the previous guest were still in it and they had clearly eaten something that hadn't agreed with them. Cup also dirty. Disappointing and unfortunately unforgettable.

Location on the sea front, free parking, really nice bar area. All the food was good. The staff were generally friendly, and the place was very clean,.

It’s a bit dated, particularly the bathroom. On the top floor there was an issue with nesting pigeons creating noise from 4.30 am. Shortage of plug sockets, two bedside lamps provided but on one side nowhere to plug it in.

I had a lovely room with the most wonderful view of the sea. The bed was very comfortable but a blanket would have been welcome. All of the staff team at The Marine Hotel were fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very friendly. There's a really genuine, welcoming and lovely atmosphere at the hotel which made my stay very special. The food is good too.

A blanket or extra duvet in the bedroom would have been good. Everything else was fabulous.
