Houseboat Captain's Quarters in Harbour Amsterdam

Ideal location - 15min bike ride to central station but far enough away to really relax and enjoy the scenery. Owners are absolutely lovely, friendly and welcoming and encouraged us to swim from the boat which was brilliant in the heatwave! Comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen, would 100% recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Nothing!

Supernetter Host! Tolle Ausstattung!

Super Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel.

Very quiet and lovely surroundings,

Very dusty, holes in the sheet, quilt was very thin, flooring was coming up and caught my toe which hurt, no toilet provided, couldn't get any TV channels it kept saying that you need to subscribe to the channel and the decor was a bit outdated. It looked a lot nicer on the advertisement and for nearly £700 for 4 nights I would have expected something better.

Nette Gastgeber, unkomplizierter Kontakt.

Spokojna okolica, fajny klimat.

Utrudniony kontakt z gospodarzem obiektu.

Good location and WiFi. Interesting property to stay at being a barge.

Poor communication between the host and booking.com. Was told someone would meet me at the property at my check in time. To find know one arrive and have to call multiple people to arrange key access as a guest is poor.

Only a short bus ride from Amsterdam central and easy to find. Check in was easy with clear communication and we had everything we needed in the houseboat. We only stayed one night, but we could easily have stayed longer.

There was 3 of us staying, but only 2 large towels and 2 hand towels. This wasn’t a major problem with only staying 1 night, but another large towel would have been good.

Location is perfect! Comfortable, clean and quiet.

Lovely little place. Plenty room for two or even three people. Really quiet neighbourhood. Excellent cafe bar Joost a 20 min walk away.

A bit of a trek to get to public transport.

Old world Dutch charm, clean tidy property beautiful sun deck

Nothing really it was exactly as described and in a beautiful friendly location

The boat is fantastic

Lovely boat with more room than a hotel room. Felt homely. Comfy private beds. Nice to have a fridge.

Untidy area at the front. A little isolated. Not much around where the boat is.

Comfortable, good space.

Could have some wash cloths in addition to the provided towels. And some fresh coffee.

Very cool property in a lovely quiet location!

The boat was in a very peaceful area with great public transport links into the center. Very comfortable and clean with everything you need for your stay. Fan's we're provided due to the hot weather also.

We liked the peace and being out of the city centre. However, it was too small for 3 people. Cabin beds are very comfortable. Sofa bed awful. Felt safe but strange set up with the door to the apartment. We couldnt secure the entrance to the apartment. And the entrance stairs are only for the able. Very steep.

Entrance to the cabin. Stairs not secured onto the wall. Smaller than the pictures.

The kitchen. The location (bus 43 is the closest public transport). Staying in a boat is a lovely experience. If you are tall (above 6 feet or 2 meters), this is likely not for you. It feels like a tiny home but super well organized and practical.

The kitchen needed at least one good knife. The towels and linens could use an update. They felt old, I agree about the reuse and reduce, but as far as first impressions go this would certainly create a more positive one. Otherwise everything else was there if you like to cook. Sleeping accommodates at the most 3 adults. You need to be able-bodied to get in and out of the place. This needs to be better explained. Ladder up and down. For my aging folks this was doable but a bit of a surprise nonetheless.

Very cute and cosy, was in an interesting neighbourhood and very nice host. An unusual option for a stay in Amsterdam.

Less privacy, due to location moored next to the footpath and other people coming in and out of neighbouring houseboats.

Comfortable houseboat in a quiet part of town. Good bus and tram connections to the centre, convenient shops and a bar nearby. If you’re going in summer, pack a swimming costume as the water quality is good and you can swim directly from the boat.

No complaints - just be aware it is a boat, so you need to be comfortable with steep staircases to get in.

Loved being on the water- a lovely novelty. Host was a great communicator

Advertised as a double, 2 singles & a sofa bed but it was a double, large single & sofa bed. Bit tight for 4 people.

Nice place and ver kind and generositet people Who livet there, we hade a Great time.

Staying on the water, we found it cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed.

The entrance stair to the front of the accommodation was difficult without a hand rail.

Very quaint, cute little houseboat. Very friendly owner. Ideal location.
