I had an excellent experience at Trilok Residency. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, offering everything I needed for a relaxing stay. I travel a lot, and I can say without the slightest hesitation that Trilok Residency is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed – not only in Varanasi, but in all of India. The location is simply perfect: peaceful yet ideally placed to easily reach the main ghat and all the main sites of the city. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by by room – spacious, and spotless. The absolute highlight is the exceptional service. The staff is constantly attentive, anticipating every need without ever being intrusive. A very special mention must go to Aditya , the owner: not only does he run the guesthouse with remarkable kindness and efficiency, but he is also incredibly generous with his advice. Thanks to him, I discovered excellent restaurants, good advices for visits and was able to organize my days in the best possible way. And perhaps what touched me the most: I arrived in Varanasi very sick. Aditya and his team constantly checked on me, offered their help, and made sure I had everything I needed to recover. This level of care and humanity goes far beyond what you normally expect from accommodation.

Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit, ohne irgendwelche Zusatzleistungen verkaufen zu wollen. So kam uns bei der Ankunft jemand entgegen, damit wir das Hotel in den engen Gassen der Altstadt nicht suchen mussten. Wir bekamen einige sehr hilfreiche Tipps per WhatsApp, die uns das Leben in dieser hektischen Stadt erleichterten. Das ging von realistischen Preisen auf Märkten bis hin zu Formalitäten bei Besuchen bestimmter Orte. Vielen Dank dafür! Außerdem ist die Lage natürlich großartig zentral.

Das Zimmer war etwas hellhörig.

Alloggio situato in una posizione centralissima, a pochi minuti a piedi dai ghat principali quindi proprio nei stretti vicoli della città vecchia (dunque non è possibile arrivarci direttamente con il taxi ma gli ultimi 5 minuti a piedi). La camera è pulita, dotata di AC funzionante e anche ventilatore sul soffitto, le finestre sono ben sigillate quindi non entra smog/umidità nè alcun insetto. Il bagno è privato ma subito fuori dalla camera, con doccia anche con acqua calda e un ottimo getto (il locale bagno è un po vecchio quindi ovviamente non curato come siamo abituati ma comunque pulito). Il personale è a disposizione sempre, invia per messaggio anche diversi consigli su cosa visitare.

Bisogna essere al corrente che per arrivarci è necessario fare almeno 5 minuti di strada a piedi con i bagagli (anche se si sono offerti loro stessi di portarceli) e che come tutti gli imprenditori turistici propongono vendita sim telefonica/tour con guide/taxi etc a prezzi piu alti (ma comunque estremamente bassi rispetto ai costi italiani) rispetto a quanto si potrebbe trovare e contrattare da soli per strada.

Location is little inside kasi narrow lane. Hotel people arrange to take your and drop of your luggage to erickshaw/auto location.

Close to temple and ganga arti ghats.

Rooms were stinking with bad smell. Staff were arogant. Not advisable to stay with family and friends.

This hotel is run by a genuinely nice family. They care about your stay in Kashi and are not money-minded. You'll get all the advice, help and support needed whilst staying there. Location-wise, it is 3-5 min walk from Dashashwamedh Ghat. Rooms are clean, safe and staff are on standby to help. Easy comms with the hotel too who don't ask for payment before hand as many do.

You'll need to use the small lanes in Kashi to access the hotel but the hotel has staff who will be able to pick you up.

Host was always helpful. Location very close to ghats and temple.

The staff behaviour is very appreciable. They facilitated everything and always welcomed with a smile. Whoever is managing the property is taking uttermost care of experience. The location is also good. Thank you Trilok Residency to make my Family stay beautiful and memorable.

It was great stay

The location was very central to all activities in Varanasi and 4 minutes to the ghats. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Even before I arrived, I was receiving WhatApps messages from Marhadev with updates on Varanasi and places to see. Also, information on getting to them. On arrival in Varanasi, all I did was call the hotel ( Ajay). Due to the many thousands of visitors ( afternoon check-in ), the streets in the immediate are closed to taxis and cars. I was dropped about 1 kilometre away from the hotel. With the help of Ajay on the phone ( language barrier ), I was on a rickshaw within 3 minutes. A WhatsApp I received from Marhadev earlier advising me you need to carry small change when using a rickshaw. If you give a large note, eg, 500 rupees, you will not get change. I was quoted 100 rupees. In the meantime, Ajay sent me a WhatsApp with a photograph of the young lad that would meet at St George's Church who helped me with the luggage. Got to the hotel booked in. Refreshed. Meet up with Ajay again. Anything you want to know, both Ajay and Marhadev have their fingertips. Also, I received continuous WhatsApps from Marhadev with info of things to do and see. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. My room was lovely. Clean and fresh. Getting around, Google maps work well, even in the narrow walkways around Varanasi. On the day I left ( 07h00), Ajay arranged for 1 of the young lads to assist me with my luggage. This time, only the short walk to St George's Church. I was in a taxi within 2 minutes and at the airport by 08h00. I highly recommend Trilok. It's all the contious support and friendlyness of all the staff that makes the stay very special. I will return.

I’m so happy I found Trilok Residence - this is a wonderful place to stay in Varanasi! The location is the best in the city, on a quiet alley very close to the ghats and also close to the city center. You can walk everywhere from here and sleep soundly (a rarity in India!) my room was enormous with a comfortable bed and big bathroom as well. Lots of outlets, plentiful hot water and nice cafes nearby. I visited Varanasi as a solo female traveler, stayed 5 nights and had a wonderful stay. When I was ill, Aditya and his staff checked in on me and brought me food to help me recover. The staff are so warm and friendly, and the hotel provides exceptional customer service by text message around the clock - they can answer any question and provide great tips for the city. It’s also worth arranging a taxi through the hotel so they can guide you through the city’s small alleyways. Highly recommended, I will be back in the future!!

The property is located very close to the ghat and close to Kashi Sri Viswanath temple. The rooms are clean with basic amenities - felt quite cozy and homely. Thanks to Aditya who is of a very pleasant disposition and took excellent care of us. He guided us on how to reach the airport in time using 3 modes of transport along the way, given the enormous crowds and traffic constraints. The boys also helped us carry/lug some of our baggage.

There is no sound insulation, but that is a common feature with most properties in Kashi, as space is limited and crowd is overwhelming.

The staff, owner Aditya went out of his way to help us. Helped us sorting out boats, cab, sent his staff to pick and drop us off at 2am. The location is fantastic, it's 100m from the Ghat, Aarti, Kashi Vishwanath temple and the Ganges.

Huge room, amazing service, the staff were so friendly and helpful, we cannot say how thankful we are! They really helped us with everything and the room was very clean. Location is perfect too, just a stone's throw from the main ghat. Highly recommended

Our stay at trilok was a pleasant one. Aditya and his staff are incredibly helpful and kind. Aditya even accommodated us in a room on the ground floor since we were travelling with elderly people. He suggested what to do, where to go and his staff were helpful throughout. Would recommend this place if you're looking to stay near the Dasashwamedh Ghat place

Room is nice, staffs are great, polite, respectful, helpful and very welcoming. Great location, walkable to Dashashwamedh Ghat, Ganga Aarti and Kashi Vishwanath Mandir. All the instructions with directions to the place was sent to me before checkin, a staff came to pick up from a nearby chowk and while check-out they even gifted us a wonderful souvenir which will always remind us of Varanasi and this stay. I stayed in this property for 4 nights and 5 days. The staff are very friendly. They are very approachable. They provide service 24/7. Lockers are available. Very clean perfect for solo and family travellers.

I am particularly from south India Hyderabad. From Godowlia chowk I felt little difficult to reach the hotel for the first time. Suggestion for travellers is to walk from Godowlia chowk towards ghat then you will not find it difficult.

The location was amazing and the staff helped us out with absolutely everything, even securing us good train tickets for the rest of our trip which proved to be incredibly helpful. They are extremely responsive over messages and would send tips and suggestions everyday with what to do! Helped us in every way possible and the location couldnt have been better!

It is actually a homestay located very near to Dashashwamedh ghat. At the beginning you may be little worried on how to reach the location as you pass through narrow streets but the closeness to the ghat overcomes every other thing when you can feel the closeness of ganga and main temple as and when needed. Hotel staff is good and cooperative, even they will bring things from market if you need. Food items are available nearby so no issues on that. They actually have option for big rooms where group of people can also stay and share their memories.

The hotel is located in a very narrow sidestreet, but there is a sign on the road. The personnel was friendly and helpful, room was big and the bathroom spacious. It was possible to leave the luggage and use a common room after checkout and our night train. No Cars are allowed in the old city, but motorcycles and bicycles are allowed.

There was not so warm water in the shower. Rooms floor could be cleaned better, but it was ok.

I especially liked the attention given by the hotel staff to make our stay memorable. The room is quite spacious and clean.

As the area is forbidden to cars, it requires walking a certain distance (500m-700m) with the luggage on the road.

Kaushik and Aditya, the hosts were great. They made me feel at home and were like family. They picked me up from a place where the rickshaw could not come. They were constantly messaging and calling me till I reached. They helped and took care of us very well. They are absolutely and truly wonderful. Har Har Mahadev.

The owner Akash n his Staffs at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were so Spacious and very comfortable. We had an amazing time here. The location is perfect and right in the center of the ghat near the main sights. The rooms are clean and spacious with friendly staff that are willing to help in case of need.

The staff was very nice and they took super good care of us. They gave us a bigger room than the one we booked and they allowed us to do a late check out because our train was very late in the night. The location is perfect (just 1 min walk to the famous Dashashwamedh Ghat! They also gave us very useful tips for our trip in India.

Synonym for hospitality is Trilok Residency, Dashashwamedh - Varanasi. The rooms were immaculately clean and the staff were very humble and courteous. Aditya, helped us right from arrival till our departure, which made our trip very comfortable. Aditya’s conviviality, inspired us to stay again in Trilok Residency on our return trip to Varanasi. Aditya went an extra mile to accommodate our request. Attention to every detail, to achieve customer satisfaction, was the stand out for us in today’s world. Thanks a lot to Aditya for keeping up the exceptional work and providing us a cherishing and wonderful experience at Trilok Residency.

Literally nothing, the room is slightly big, nothing much to write about anything to like.

Not accessible, you have to walk about 500 mtrs in a narrow gully to reach, bathroom is not attached but away from your room, no hot water shower available, claims geyser is not working, narrow steps, I had booked for three days but had to complain to Booking.com to cancel the remaining two days and checked out after one night's stay. None of the amenities and facilities mentioned in the website are available. Worst experience in my life. While checking out, the hotel offered me 300 Rs discount if I claim not to have shown up so that they can disclaim this review.

Definitely one of the most coziest experiences of staying in a hostel in my life! I planned to stay one night there and ended up prolonging to 5! :) The host family was amazing - caring, loving and smiling. I felt like a family member as well. They helped me with everything I needed, also organized some water cooler since it was very hot to sleep even under the fan. The location of the hostel is fantastic - 5min walk to one of the main gaths and the market - very alive in both daytime and nighttime. Yet it is not noisy in the hostel. Room is cleaned every day, beds are comfy, shower is working well. Highly recommend! :)

The only thing that was missing for me was the common area where the people could meet and hang out. There are some chairs by reception and you can meet on the stairs haha, but it would be lovely to have a community space somewhere - maybe a rooftop terrace?
