Okok not great not bad
Nothing. I did not stay due to the run down and dirty hotel, poor cafe and unfriendly staff. the staff would not even call me a taxi when I was leaving.
Everything. I did not stay due to the run down and dirty hotel, poor cafe and unfriendly staff. the staff would not even call me a taxi when I was leaving.
Even after confirmed booking and advance payment for a luxury suite, was shown lower category room.
The location. Our room did not have a functioning AC and when complained about it, staff did not make a fuss about changing rooms or bothering us into believing that AC still works.
The property looks much newer in photos but it is not. It is worn down.
Cozy near and clean rooms. location is very good
Water pressure in the bathroom was weak, hence the shower experience was poor. AC was not working in one of the room. Power cut in the night every 5 mins.
It has such an amazing cozy vibe. Feels like we are in South of France.
Nothing
The hotel is really nice. Helpful staff.
Everything was nice !
The staff was warm and the location was also good as everything was nearby
Cleanliness was the main problem
Property is well located and very close from most of the places. Hotel is very aesthetic and clean. Rooms are huge especially the bath area. Food is too good even the breakfast was healthy and delicious . I liked the bakery section they serve one of the best cakes, must try any cheese cake. All the staff members are very helpful.
Pool can be cleaned regularly as there was flies and some things from trees floating on the corners.
the staff and ambience was excellent
the pool could be a little cleaner.
Very well located
It’s needs some maintenance
Honestly, the garden at The Tamarind was an unexpected highlight — mango and jackfruit trees, a charming little wishing well, and quiet pathways that make you forget you're at a hotel. It feels more like a cozy old Goan estate than any concrete resort. My morning walks around the property with a cup of coffee were something I genuinely looked forward to every single day — sometimes even more than heading to the beach.
The café being open till 3 am was honestly a game-changer — after late-night drives or long beach evenings, we never had to scramble for food outside. Just came back, settled in under the fairy lights, and ordered dessert and coffee like it was the most normal thing in the world. That kind of unhurried, late-night vibe is something most hotels simply don't offer.
Nice vibes and great location
Such a old hotel well maintained and management has taken well care of this place. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Specially Teresa helped us.
Breakfast was included and staff were very friendly.
The property has great potential but is looking a little run down and tired. We were served fanta on arrival, which was a terrible first experience (rather than a beautiful local fruit juice). The swimming pool was half empty when we arrived, and looked too run down and filthy to swim in, disappointing when you have kids.
My stay at The Tamarind Hotel, Anjuna was truly delightful. The property has a serene charm with beautiful Mediterranean-inspired architecture that instantly gives off warm Greece-like vibes. The room was tastefully designed, bright, and inviting — perfect for a peaceful Goan getaway. The staff were exceptionally courteous and attentive, always greeting with a smile and eager to help with even the smallest requests. The ambience of the hotel felt both relaxing and homely.. Overall, it was a memorable experience filled with comfort, charm, and genuine hospitality. I would happily return on my next visit to Goa.
I loved every aspect of the hotel and the facilties but there are three points of improvement.
Three Points- 1) if i can have a bicycle on rent 2) Breakfast to have more options 3) Swimming pool to be more clean and clear and have certain timings so that the maintence can happen
Rooms were very spacious and extremely comfortable, Staff was very polite and warm, the restaurant offers great breakfast.
Nothing
Great location and cozy hotel. The pool needs an upgrade.
Bedrooms lovely food good and staff pleasant
Pool not great but it is monsoon I guess
Loved the property as it’s close to all good pubs . The property had a functional poor, restaurant and a bar which made it very convenient for us during monsoons
Due to the monsoon the room felt a little damp and also had flies . So the room could have been dusted better
Breakfast buffet was excellent — everything was super fresh and tasty. My only concern was seeing quite a bit of food wastage by some other guests, which felt a bit disappointing.
No complaints as such!! My stay was very smooth!!
Extremely well located cozy property with great staff. The Cotinga Cafe and the bar are great too.
The pool desperately needs as upgrade. Some of the are great but then some aren’t airy enough and have a little bit of dampness.
The ambience is absolutely romantic and serene – tucked away from the hustle and bustle. It gave me the peaceful holiday I was looking for. The setting is quiet, intimate, and ideal for unwinding with a loved one.
Nothing!! it was beyond my expectations..
The Bakery and Al Carte Menu of the inhouse restaurant Cotingo was very good, the hotel location was very convenient, you can take the local bus or book a cab to nearby attractions like Vagator/Anjuna breach and other eating joints, also walking distance to the Miraculous Cross recommended by the staff which was worth the morning walk.
Though the room was good. There was no view from the window. As it was raining, all we could see was thee roof of the hotel. Also The complimentary breakfast should have included some Ala Carte items as well.
I just got back from The Tamarind Hotel in Anjuna, and honestly, it was a fantastic stay. What stood out most was the service — the team was attentive without being pushy, and they really made sure everything went smoothly. It’s clear they care about their guests. The food was really good, too. I tried a few local dishes and some seafood specialties, and everything was well-prepared and tasty. Breakfast was filling and had a nice variety, which made starting the day easier. The pool was a lovely place to relax after a day out exploring Goa. My room had an amazing view that made waking up a joy. The whole place has this laid-back, warm vibe that made me feel at home. If you’re visiting Anjuna and want a chill but quality stay, I’d recommend giving The Tamarind a try.
Everything was nice!!!!!
I recently stayed at The Tamarind Hotel in Anjuna, Goa, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The hotel truly reflects the vibrant and laid-back spirit of Goa, making it a great choice for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the local culture. Service: The service at The Tamarind Hotel was commendable. From the moment I checked in, the staff was attentive and efficient, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free process. Any requests or inquiries I had were addressed promptly, and the housekeeping maintained the room impeccably throughout my stay. The hotel management seems to take customer satisfaction seriously, which was evident in the way they handled everything with professionalism and care. Food: The dining experience was another highlight of the stay. The hotel’s restaurant offered a good variety of dishes, focusing on fresh, local ingredients and authentic Goan flavors. I particularly enjoyed their seafood preparations—fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious. The menu also included options for vegetarians and those looking for lighter fare. The presentation was appealing, and the portion sizes were generous. Breakfast was a pleasant affair with a nice selection of continental and Indian dishes.
Nothing!!! All the requests were timely fulfilled the staff was very supportive....
I recently stayed at The Tamarind Hotel in Anjuna, and I have to say, it was one of the most relaxing trips I’ve had in a while. The moment I arrived, the staff made me feel really welcome — they were friendly and always ready to help without being overbearing. Checking in was smooth, and my room was kept clean throughout my stay, which I really appreciated. The food was a pleasant surprise. I’m a big fan of seafood, and their dishes were fresh and flavorful without being too heavy. They also had plenty of vegetarian options, which was great for my friends. Breakfast had a nice mix of Indian and continental dishes, so there was something for everyone. One of my favorite things was the pool area — it was peaceful and well-maintained, a perfect spot to unwind. Plus, the view from my room was stunning, especially during sunset. Overall, The Tamarind felt like a cozy, boutique place that truly captures the spirit of Goa. I’d definitely come back here!
Nothing ......Everything was Great !!!!!
The location is great. The staff was very courteous.
Breakfast is average.
Overcharged for a broken drinking water glass. Rs 150 for a basic glass which my child broke.
We had a pool view room but they did not give it to us for the first day when we asked and fight for it they gave us. We had no choice because he had booked it for 5 days
The staff was very good especially the manager I had one meal which was quite good
It’s pretty shabby and somewhat run down The pool and grounds are not kept up Extremely over priced for a place that shows itself as very uplifted and clean and it was just passable. Basically it looks like it is not cared for, phone in room didn’t work to call desk or dining room, shower was partially not working etc
Lovely caring and helpful staff throughout plus amazing food and great music suited to mood and time of day (if a little loud at times for my tolerance)
The pool unfortunately has a problem with looking nothing like the picture as I think it’s leaking…they need to clean the hard surface of the actual pool so when they top it up…as they were doing regularly during our stay, the unappealing green colour should lessen
Big spacious family suite rooms. Polite staff and good hospitality. Good cafe and great vibe of the place.
Swimming pool wasn’t clean.
Nice stay near to anjuna beach and many more attrations
Nice location. Near to Anjuna bd VAGATOR beach. Surrounding beautiful.
Property is under maintenance.
The entire look of the property is really enticing, the brick effect brings so much of colonial era, it is absolutely stunning. The staff here are just really nice, they feel like family. Mr. Raj and Ms. Shamin are both great they will have a whole list of suggestions at their disposal. Room service is also really nice however you must ask them if you need something specific cause much of the things are on request.
Though everything is here is absolutely beautiful and dreamy it was a bummer that the pool was a little unkept due to the rain. We missed out on the pool experience due the weather and maybe if they could add in a little more options and variations for the breakfast spread provided complimentarily.
Location was good
I had booked a Suite room and hotel provided a luxury room..when I saw the Suite room on 2nd day and raised with reception, I was shifted from room 303 to 301...booking. com needs to refund for the differential price of 1st day
Pls update your values of ur reception staff they should be polite
Rooms are really good & give you a luxury feel.
The food is very costly. The food quality is not at all up to the mark & quantity is very less. Not at all value for money. Swimming pool was unoperational. After lots of push they made it fine.
Very nice
I liked the hotel very asthetic, clean and just as in pictures, the staff was very polite i would like to mention gayatri their staff member who was extremely professional, helpful and took care of every guest. it felt as if they cared and that made the stay memorable.
Nothing to dislike but yes the food prices were on the higher side, i would suggest that the hotel keeps a common tip box as every staff member from the receptionist , to housekeeping , restaurant staff all were amazing and it would be unfair to anyone who misses on the tip.
The amenities were really good and the staff is very helpful and polite. Overall we had a good experience
Nothing
Excellent and Fantastic
Food was good
We booked for a family room The room given to us was full of ants even after we complained to them they didn't give us a change of Room also. The service in the restaurant was also very poor
Door was locked and I hot stuck for 5 hours outside the room until midnight
Unique & Cleanness
Aesthetically pleasing property. Staff members were super helpful. In-house cafe has amazing food and location of property is super good.
Wish the swimming pool was clean enough to dive in.
Great property, great staff.
Just cleanliness of pool
Beautiful Property , good rooms, and staff is very good
I like everything
Everything was good and the overall experience was satisfactory.
Booked a cab from the hotel while checkout and the AC of the ertiga car wasn't't working for our 2.3 hr ride during peak afternoon. The driver was polite and the driving was smooth during the trip, The issue was with the AC.
Room view and swiming pool
No indoor activities
It's a family resort with the combination of excellent service, good food, a pleasant location, and cleanliness that certainly makes for a memorable stay.
Apart from location it's not a good choice,
It's not value for money, worse service and pathetic comfort, room didn't get what we booked no go next time
The poolside room had a good view. The interior & the bed were cozy. The architecture had a nice vibe to it. Big kudos to Mr Das,manager of the property. Really helpful person with a calm demeanor.
The general cleanliness of the property needs a relook. Breakfast menu could have more variety.
It's a very decent property and room service was awesome especially restaurant feel and food both are very nice
They have to do some changes in cleanness
