We have stayed at many places and this has to be one of, if not the best stop over ever. Spectacularly clean, lovely staff, friendly host, great breakfast and quiet farm environment to rest well. We will be back but for a longer stay over so we can help with the farming....

A stunning place with tranquility. We can understand why it says Mountain View...we wake up to a misty morning hiding the view...as soon as the sun says hallo to a new day...you can feel the peace and quiet...a pity we arrived to late to enjoy a sunset..a big thank you to the hosts and staff for a great stay!

Beautiful and stylish cottage in a stunning location!

Wunderschöne Lage, mitten in den Bergen. Sehr schönes Cottage, mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Bademäntel, Duschegel, Badezusatz, Schokolade, stilles Wasser, alles in sehr hichwertiger Qualität standen für uns bereit. Ganz toller Besitzer. Hat sich Zeit für uns genommen, obwohl er sehr viel zu tun hatte, um uns die Farm zu zeigen. Es gibt 4 Hunde, einer lieber als der andere

We absolutely loved everything about our stay! The breakfast was delicious, and the hosts went above and beyond by kindly surprising us with a fantastic pecan pie to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Such wonderful hospitality!

Lovely place

The host was friendly, talked us all thru the drive to locate the guest house. Good explanation and once again very friendly.

A beautiful working farm close to the Mountain Zebra National Park. We made our own meals using the guest house facilities. We loved viewing the newborn lambs and taking a short walk around the property. Waking up to the sheep bleating was such a pleasure.

Cannot fault a single thing..

Location was excellent. Not too far out of town with a great view of the mountain. Guesthouse is very well furnished and comfortable with everything needed to survive a cold karoo evening.

A stylish decorated cottage, situated at the foot of a mountain on a working Karoo farm. The unit is well equipped and sparkly clean with special touches that you would expect in a hotel suite.

It was very clean and well looked after. The interior is also beautiful.

This is a lovely, restful location. It would make be great for taking time out for reading / writing, generally relaxing.

Not so much 'didn't like' rather that we had to hunt around to find the entrance - NOT the fault of the owners.

A great option if you plan to visit the Mountain zebra NP. A farm stay with a luxury hotel touch. Sparkling clean, equipped with anything you may need. A scenic location some 20 mins drive from the NP gate. Amazing owner. We did not feel like leaving the place...

It was a very comfortable and beautiful place to stay for the night. Everything you could think of was there! The welcome lady was very friendly 🙂

Before we left we had to pay for our stay :)… but unfortunately the termminal wasn’t working. So the friendly lady had to ask for help from her boss (I think?). He was really rude. Didn’t even introduced himself. Didn’t ask anything or even looked at us. Really strange. He was not welcoming 😕

All was excellent,the only criticism is, that it would be nice if there was some ice in the fridge. The hospitality was great and we will certainly return. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏👏

The scenery of the place was spectacular. Silence, beautiful plants, amazing koppies of the Karoo, fantastic breakfast: yoghurt which you will not find in a regular shop, warm fresh bread, amazingly made eggs we have never encountered before made a significant impression on us. Very tastefully appointed accommodation, not really expected on a farm, was quite a surprise for us. The owner was sensitive to the needs of a disabled person as were the devices in a bathroom. The dogs staying outside were very friendly and protective. It was warm inside despite a chili bite outside. Mountain Zebra National Park did not disappoint. There were beautiful zebras everywhere, different boks and lots of monkeys. The farm abounded in lambs. Wilhelm was an excellent host.

A beautiful, peaceful setting 20 minutes from the Mountain Zebra National Park (one of SA’s hidden gems). Spotlessly clean and elegantly furnished with a welcoming and knowledgeable host.

We recently had the pleasure of staying once again at this beautiful country guest house.. Wilhelm welcomed us and that evening we enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by his wife Sue-Ellen. (This has to be pre-ordered) The breakfast was just as good, beautifully prepared and presented. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable with the greatest attention to detail. We will definitely be back to enjoy this exceptional Karoo hospitality.

The cozy beatiful decorated cottage is very special..we loved the decor, the attention to detail and bathtime treats and the farm atmosphere..so special..

We inadvertently booked the guest house options, but to our delight, we were pleasantly surprised. The accommodations were spacious and conveniently equipped with a kitchenette, which proved to be ideal for our needs. Additionally, we had the option to utilize the shared kitchen, and since we were the sole guests at the time, we did not experience any discomfort or awkwardness.

Beautiful setting, well appointed cottage, stunning decor and heating was a great plus in the freezing weather.

The setting is beautiful and the house is spacious and beautifully furnished. The small details and care create such a feeling of luxury and comfort. I wish we had spent an extra night to enjoy the farm life beauty. A gem find!

If you are looking for a good welcoming stopover on your drive to the south/north during your trip around South Africa, this is just the perfect gateway. Great rooms, friendly atmosphere, exceptionally good prepared breakfast! They even backed a fresh bread for us. We got so spoiled! Just loved it

Simply fantastic We arrived late afternoon, Wilhem the owner arrived immediately to welcome us. And what a nice surprise, Wilhem instead of the room with bathroom and kitchen, gave us the Cottage - upgradet us -. Small private garden in front with a round table and 4 very comfortable chairs, where I spent several hours looking at the view, or in front of my computer drinking a glass of wine or something else. Upon entering you find yourself in the living room with kitchen. 2 3-seater sofas, TV, spacious and well-equipped kitchen. From there you arrive in a bedroom with 2 single beds or in the master bedroom with a double bed and 1 extra bed. From the 2 bedrooms you have access to the bathroom. Bathroom with bathtub and shower, the shower is large and accessible even with a wheelchair. The entire Cottage is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Not to forget the semi-covered swimming pool at the main House with a splendid view of the mountain - the water was the perfect temperature, swimming was really good for me, sofas on the deck, deckchairs, gym equipment, barbeque and a table for eight people. At sunset around 6pm you can see the animals - Kudu, Elan ect... The only day we moved was to visit the Zebra Park not far away +- 25 minutes. However, for walking or mountain biking enthusiasts, there is plenty of space We spent some wonderful days enjoying the absolute tranquility. Wilhem his wife Sue Ellen and children are so personable, always ready to help, they make you feel very special. I'm sure we will be back.

The place exceeded my expectations. Beautiful, clean and quiet. In the morning you only hear birds singing and the sound of animals. It is about 4km from the main road. Don't worry about the loadshedding, the place has generator. This is a farm area though Willem has placed precautionary measures to repel mosquitos, bring your own repellent in case. I love everything about this place. Will definitely come back, that's for sure. 💯% satisfactory
