Everything. It was a lovely 2 bed apartment. Spotlessly clean, the staff were lovely & it was in a great location.

The walls were quite thin so you could hear what was going on next door.

I liked the room. It was very modern and in good condition. I liked how the tv isn’t bolted to a wall therefore it was easy to connect my fire stick. The shower and toilet were in the room separated by glass. Air conditioning was excellent.

This place was exactly what I was looking for. Believe me, that short distance away from El Centro is well worth it. I had been staying at another place in the midst of it all for a couple of weeks. The noise from the bars and cars made sleep nearly impossible. Here I got peace and quiet. It's clean and comfortable. The staff were all very sweet and helpful. The small fridge came in handy. And did I mention it was quiet? I slept well.

It is a small hotel with very nice staff attentive for your needs. It is not located close to the main square and this makes its quiet and peaceful. Everything is in walking distance and is easy to get a taxi anytime for a very fair price.

It will be nice to have a full operating cafeteria not just for breakfast.

The suites are very comfortable for a family, even more so for couples. Very safe and secure space. The staff was awesome. You can walk to town no problem, about a 15min walk from downtown. If you do not want the noise and commotion of the downtown craziness this is a safe great location.

We were not able to refill our water pitcher because there was no drinking water available, they ran out and said they didn't get water delivered. We had some drinking waters we had bought so not a big deal. But I do think this is something they should not be without.

The ad indicates "restaurant" and "airport shuttle." The restaurant is only open for breakfast and it is not included in the cost. The airport shuttle is the staff calling a taxi for you that you also have to pay for. The cost of staying here is very high so those things being included would be beneficial.

Dulce and the rest of the team gave us the best experience in Oaxaca, they went above and beyond to help us with everything, from scheduling a cab at 4:00am to give us plenty of information about the city. Quiet suite, got plenty of rest. I definitely recommend this place.

The staff was very attentive y súper amable! It was a quick 10 min walk to the zocalo which is perfect when around the festivities because it’s far enough away where the streets are calm and peaceful.

The rooms are equipped with AC and perfect for sleep, but whoever uses the sofa bed will run hot depending on the weather. You can only do so much with a tower fan and open windows.

Overall just an excellent place to stay

The staff was phenomenal and it was an easy walk to El Centro. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely stay. The staff was very attentive. When we came in a bit late a couple of nights the property was locked for safety, but they came very quickly to open the door for us.

Our suite was big, clean, and very comfortable. We ate breakfast at the hotel every day, and it was really good. The courtyard is absolutely beautiful. Perhaps best of all, the staff was so kind and accommodating. A special shout out to Noe and Dulce, who both did their best to make our stay special.

This property was so nice, easy to walk to the Centro but so quiet without the bustle of downtown!! The property managers took great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed.

Our stay was wonderful, the place was spotless and the team helped us with calling taxis and making morning lattes. Easy 7 block walk to Centro for great dining options. We felt very safe and well cared for. This is a gem!

Small Boutique hotel in a good location.Friendly accomodating staff.

Nice small property but we experienced issues with air conditioning it was dripping at middle of the night, they sent a repair man, then it was very noisy, the split unit it is set up by the bed at least in our room, the living- kitchen area has no air only a portable fan. Also our tv control was not working properly to turn off the television you needed to get up from bed and manually turn it off. ( this was our second TV control) Location is about 7 blocks from Zocalo, we felt safe, also quiet, boutique hotel staff was very nice, the food at the restaurant for breakfast just ok not recommended. Clean property.

Great location as it was centrally located and most sites were about a 10-15 walk in opposite directions. A special shout out to Dulce who was an amazing host. The suite had super comfortable bed, and nice hang out spaces both inside and outside of the suite.

Had a wonderful time. This was perfect for our family. Thanks again for the outstanding hospitality!

Marialicia Suites far exceeded my expectations in every way. The design is breathtaking. It is a peaceful sanctuary just steps away from the excitement of Oaxaca Centro. The staff is kind and helpful. Dulce and Javier are the consummate hosts. The breakfast is delicious. The suites are gorgeous and stocked with everything you can think of. Loved it!

The bed was so comfortable, as well as the room. The staff was very nice. The decor was very pleasant.

The apartment was spacious, comfortable (beds were great) and incredibly clean and all the staff but especially Dulce were superb and the location was great!

The apartment was quite noisy at times as the design meant you could hear everything from outside! Also some of the lighting was very low eg bathroom

Everything - super friendly staff, spacious apartment with 2 bedrooms, very clean and comfortable. Small kitchen with essentials also useful. Less than 10 min walk from the main square. Wifi didn't always work but this wasn't an issue for us. Very family friendly.

Clean modern rooms, beautiful communal area. It’s an oasis of quiet and comfort in a busy city. 10 minutes walk to main square makes it an ideal location. Staff (Dulce and Neo) are very helpful and pleasant.

We stayed at Marialicia Suites for five nights recently and found it delightful. The staff, to a person, were helpful and knowledgeable. The breakfasts were excellent. The zocalo (main square) was about a 15 minute walk away, along a pleasant street. We highly recommend it.

Loved the location of the property. Our suite was spacious, well equipped and very well maintained and beautifully decorated. The staff and the manager, however, made the difference .... thanks to them our stay was not just a comfortable one, but an amazingly comfortable and enjoyable stay. The ever so helpful Noe was always around to help with any help we needed. And the manager the lovely and super friendly manager, Dulcet, was ever so welcoming and willing to help, with advice and recommendations ...... she is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to info of Oaxaca. As soon as we arrived and were welcomed by Dulce, she was so warm, friendly and welcoming, we straight away knew we would enjoy a very homely and enjoyable stay at the Marialicia suites.

Nothing to not like

Quiet + great bed= great night’s sleep. Dûce at the front desk was do helpful and offered tons of advise about where to go and what to see. Easy walk to the local mercados and amazing bakery a few blocks away.

Small boutique hotel with 10 suites. Though a 10 minute walk from the center, it is in a very safe and walkable location. We had a 2 bedroom suite with a kitchenette. We also had a small semi private patio for sitting The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. I would highly recommend.

The location is walking distance from centro so there was not so loud during night. Good Japanese and Italian restaurants were nearby. The room is large enough for family.

Shower pressure is not so strong, so it will take time to complete shower. Water seems to be a problem in Oaxaca historically.

This was an exceptional place. It was spacious for 9 day stay. The kitchen facilities were excellent. Lovely natural materials were used to build the units. There also was a very nice outdoor space.

A great hotel, the whole staff was super friendly. From the housekeeping to the managers they were very helpful. The layout of the hotel looks well throughout and the courtyard is beautiful in person just as shown in the pictures. Would definitely book again in the future!

I like the modern feel of the suites and the amount of space, including patio. The rooms are clean and secure. The staff is very friendly and the zocalo is a short ten minute walk away.

The neighborhood can be loud at night with fireworks going off at all hours. A dog was barking right behind the hotel and barked all night long.

Rooms were as described nice mix of apartment and hotel. Little courtyard bit is fab. The staff were very helpful when we needed anything. Cleaning was meticulous

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Helped us book taxis, got our laundry sorted, gave us recommendations for local shopping. The suite was immaculate, beds very comfy, great bathroom and very useful small kitchenette. Air conditioning worked well and didn't make too much sound.

I liked this was a suite hotel which gave us a little more room. Months before our stay we worked with Dulce to reserve an additional room. She went above and beyond to help us and we are grateful for her assistance. Rooms were clean and showers hot. It was really lovely that they told us to bring photos of loved ones passed because they put some candles in our room to make an offrenda.

With Dulce on vacation, language was an issue. It wouldn't have been a problem if we didn't have problems. The room keys had to be re-keyed after almost every use and sometimes we'd have to walk back 2 or 3 times before they would work. We had 3 rooms and every single one of them experienced this. Our sliding patio door lock was broken and we reported it and nothing was done. Anyone could have walked into our room at any time. Wifi is unreliable. The breakfast (which is not included) seemed rather institutional and cafeteria-like. For the money we found lovely cafes within walking distance. Finally, while this isn't the hotel's fault, sitting outside in our private courtyard was awful, we were eaten alive by no-see-ums. Bring bug spray and you'll be fine.

Marialicia Suites was an ideal place to stay in Oaxaca. Within a 15 min walk to the center of town, but far enough away to be quiet. The host, Dulce, is delightful and the staff are all very helpful. Beautifully and recently built, it's wonderful to have a kitchenette. The only thing is that it's all hard surfaces. it would be nice to have an area with a rug or other soft surface somewhere in the apartment. Overall, highly recommend Marialicia Suites.

The lady in the entrance was so nice make me feel like home so helpful the hotel is so clean and everything is close to the hotel

Gorgeous hotel with tons of shops near by and only 15 min. walk to the Zocalo. The suites are very spacious with kitchen and private patio included. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. They gave us great options on tours to do and tips to buy them at affordable price. We will stay here again next time we are in Oaxaca.

After the airlines cancelled my flight and lost one night at the hotel, we were surprised by an upgraded room. Everything was perfect! It was like being at home. The staff treated us like family, always ready to help us. Dulce, the manager was truly classy and so helpful, arranged a van to accommodate our large group for a tour. I would highly recommend this hotel. It was quiet, a little walk to the main downtown area but worth it. Nice restaurant right down the street accommodated our large group. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Before booking, I had read numerous reviews of Marialicia Suites that opined what an amazing place this is... they did not do it justice! My wife and I spent 5 incredible nights in Oaxaca, and as much as we loved the sights, and the food, and the culture - it was the accommodations that really made our trip! Dulce (the manager) and her staff (especially Oscar and Noe) went out of their way again and again to make sure that we were comfortable. It was obvious from the minute we arrived that these individuals were clearly invested in making sure that we enjoyed our experience - both in Oaxaca and at Marialicia Suites. My wife and I celebrated our 20'th anniversary while we were in Oaxaca and Dulce even arranged to have flowers delivered to our room to help us celebrate the moment! I have stayed in hotels all over the world, but have never felt as welcome and valued as I did at Marialicia. We had a great time in Oaxaca and will definitely be back - when that happens I will not even look into any other options for lodging. The only bad thing I could say about Marialicia Suites is that it has probably ruined me for every other hotel I will ever stay at! Many thanks Dulce and all of her staff for making our trip unforgettable.

Marialica Suites was more than I expected. The hotel is very clean, room layout is perfect it had a nice patio outside your door, the bed was comfortable and the staff are very welcoming. Also the area is very convenient, I would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Oaxaca!

Loved the physical space of the hotel- the lobby and courtyard were so pretty and the suite was spacious. We also loved the staff- everyone was so kind and helpful with answering our questions, getting us set up with drivers, etc. breakfast was also delicious!

The hotel is a bit farther from the center of the city than we realized. Taxis are very cheap so it wasn’t a problem, and the area was nice and quiet and peaceful, but we didn’t want to be out walking in our neighborhood past 10pm. It was just a little desolate at nighttime for a group of girls. During the day it was lovely!

Such a fabulous place. Everyone so friendly and eager to please. Always a smile too. Water bottles can be refilled too which was fantastic. Walking distance to everything there’s to see and eat in Oaxaca. Mercado de la Merced 2 streets up has great food and much on the quieter side of the 2 main ones. But just walk the streets and the food vendors have the most delicious food ever

My room was in the reception area. They provide earplugs but you can still hear the staff talking and any guest passing by and talking. Only one room in reception area. The rest are at the back so doubt they could hear a thing.

Such a sweet, chic and friendly place! Just outside the madhouse tourist center and close to where the expats seem to favor with great food options and coffee shops. The suite was spacious and very well equipped. The breakfast is wonderful. Can’t say enough good about Marialicia! Across the street is the BEST massage, too. Poleo- ENJOY! Also check out ‘Once in Oaxaca for the best coffee and treats!

I like the location - a bit off the beaten track. very nice staff. And I really liked the long walks I took from the hotel.

I was in the room near the reception area. While quite reasonably priced, it was a bit loud late at night. If I had been provided with a fan, it would have cut out much of the sound. I asked for one, but none on site.

Individual bungalow style apartments in a great location and great staff. Dulce, the Manageress was so efficient, helpful and full of local knowledge. Her help really made our stay in Oaxaca memorable.

The hostess/manager Dulce was amazing to work with from my first contact after making the reservation to the time we left and everything in-between. The little patio outside our suite was quite comfortable and a great place to have morning coffee that was provided. We were helped to our room and everything was explained. The housekeeping service was above expectation. The amenities in the room were above expectation.

We asked for the alcohol to be removed in the comments when making the reservation but it was there when we arrived. We didn't ask after checking in but I don't doubt they would have done it for us had we asked.
