Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und sehr gut. Die beiden immer gut aufgelegten Gastgeber waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Sie erfüllten jeden Essenswunsch und waren sehr flexibel mit den Essenzeiten. Die Unterkunft liegt ideal um z.B. den Pidurangala Rock, den Lions Rock in Sirigaya, Dambulla, oder Pollunaruwa zu erreichen. Auch liegt der Minneriya Nationalpark nur 10min mit dem Auto entfernt.

Die Zimmereinrichtung ist eher schlicht. Es fehlen hier Sitzgelegenheiten. Trotzdem passt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Sehr nette Gastgeber, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in der familiären Atmosphäre.

We highly recommend staying at Cozy Cottage, there are several reasons why.  The family who run the cottages, are absolutely lovely and can not do enough for you.  The food is another reason to stay, we rarely eat where we are staying more than 1 or 2 nights, we eat there 5 nights, the owner is a great chef and prepared a different delicious meal for us every night.  We stayed in room 2 for 6 nights and was really glad we had chosen this place to stay. Cozy Cottage is located 5 to 10 minutes walk from the main town along a very scenic road, with the occasional monkey climbing along the overhead cables and trees. Our room (No. 2) is located at the end of the gardens with a sheltered outside area to sit and enjoy the garden. The room itself has 2 double beds that are comfortable and clothes rack and a couple of bedside tables to charge phones etc. The beds have mosquito nets hanging from the ceiling, although we didn’t find that we needed them. The shower room is a nice size and shower has good pressure and a steady stream of hot water, which was lovely after a long hot day. Breakfast was excellent with a slight variation from day to day, with an omelette, lavariya, small cup cakes, toast with jam and fruit. There is plenty of food and very filling, along with tea. Overall value for money the Cozy Cottage is excellent and would highly recommend if staying for a short or long stay.

Wszystko, od gościnności, jedzenie i komfort noclegu. Państwo goszczący nas niesamowicie przykładali uwagę na to by nasz pobyt był jak najbardziej komfortowy. Puszczali polskie piosenki, aranżowali wszystko pod nasz pobyt

Nie mam żadnych uwag, najlepszy nocleg do tej pory na Sri Lance.

The location is convenient, and most restaurants and amenities are within walking distance. The sweet couple there went above and beyond. I was treated like a king as I was the only one staying. I was fortunate enough to try different local food for breakfast. If you're looking for a homely local experience this is the place.

Kleine, sehr süße Unterkunft. Das Frühstück wurde jeden Morgen mit viel Liebe zubereitet zur individuellen Uhrzeit. Es gab Obst und frischen Fruchtsaft aus dem eigenen Garten, traditionelle und selbstzubereitete Hoppers, Rührei und Toast. Dinner kann optional hinzugebucht werden und ist ebenfalls traditionell und von den Besitzern selbst zubereitet. Die Portionen sind sehr groß und alles war super lecker! Die Besitzer - ein Ehepaar - sind extrem zuvorkommend, liebevoll und hilfsbereit. Sie haben uns sowohl bei der Organisation von Transportmitteln und Aktivitäten geholfen als sich auch sehr liebevoll um uns gekümmert. Wir haben uns sehr umsorgt gefühlt. Die beiden schaffen eine wohltuende Atmosphäre!

Leider gibt es keine Klimaanlage in den Zimmern (nur ein Ventilator). Bei Nacht müssen die Fenster zudem geschlossen werden, damit keine Wildkatzen eindringen können, weshalb es Nachts sehr warm wird.

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr schoen. Die Gastgeber waren sehr aufmerksam, haben gute Tipps gegeben und beim Planen sowie Durchführen geholfen. Als ich krank wurde, haben sie Medizin und einen Transport zum Arzt angeboten. Man trifft auf Betreiber mit großem Herz, die dafür sorgen, dass man sich wohl und willkommen fühlt! Die Unterkunft war sauber und ausreichend geräumig, das Essen war lecker.

Wie man der Beschreibung entnehmen kann, gibt es keine Klimaanlage. Aber ein Ventilator sorgt für ausreichende Abkühlung. Über dem Bett hing ein Fliegennetz, wodurch man abends aber auch lüften konnte.

Großer und sauber Raum, mit sehr bequemen Bett, ruhige Lage aber doch zentral. Umgebung mit etwas Wildlife (Waran und Streifenhörnchen) und vielen süßen freilaufend Hunden. Sehr gutes Frühstück und grandioses Curry and Reis am Abend, top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis der Buchung. Haben uns wohl gefühlt und die Gastgeber waren sehr herzlich. Sie haben für uns auch einen Tuktuk Fahrer und eine Safari organisiert.

Sprachlich gab es allerdings ein paar Schwierigkeiten, die am Ende auch zu Missverständnissen/ Unstimmigkeiten in der Rechnung geführt haben. Eine Leistung war teurer als eigentlich vereinbart und die Service charge wurde auf alles nochmal aufgerechnet. Wir haben am Ende aber eine für alle stimmige Lösung gefunden, war nur einfach nervig und eigentlich vermeidbar. Wir sind leider mit gemischten Gefühlen gegangen, was dem Aufenthalt vor Ort eigentlich nicht gerecht wird. Daher: Preise vorher fix festhalten und im Zweifel nochmal nachfragen, dann ist alles okay.

This place is everything you'd want if seeking a peaceful, genuine family run stay. The couple who run it couldn't do more for you, are friendly and accommodating. We had plentiful breakfasts and added evening meals which were great, plus fresh fruit juices from trees in the garden. The location is on a quiet side road, easy with a car and OK to walk to (see google maps). The lady arranged tuk tuk to Sigiriya and 4x4 to Minneriya at reasonable prices - so we didn't need to, pick up at the door. Place is very clean and the couple do everything they can to make the stay enjoyable.

Booking.com contact number is overseas (Maldives), which meant that local tuk tuk drivers could not call when we got lost with no internet :-) No issue if you have data.

Owners were very friendly. The property was not too close to the main road. I appreciate the breakfast.

The room is clean and big. The food is delicious and the owner are so kind, helpfull and frirndly. They help me a lot to organise my stay and visit. I really recommend this place. I love staying in this lovely place and I'll definitely come back !

We spent 2 night in the cozy cottage, it was just perfect ! The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, the rooms are perfectly clean and comfortable, there are mosquitoes net, hot water ! The breakfast was also so good !! Thank you !! ❤️

Lovely place to stay in Habarana. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Large and yummy breakfast in the mornings. The owners couldn’t do enough for you. They were fab. Recently opened a restaurant where we ate for 2 nights. The food was delicious and a good price.

Everything was perfect. The rooms were clean, the air conditioning worked well, the shower had hot water. the breakfast was really good. The host couple was wonderful. They prepared a good dinner for us, at a good price. I can more than recommend! Best accommodation so far on our trip to Sri Lanka.

Very new and comfortable, quiet rooms in a tranquil garden. Only 10 mins to the main road. The owners are lovely and helpful. The breakfast included is excellent value and plentiful. Recommended!

The Cozy Cottage is in walking distance to the bus junction which is useful for trips to the places nearby (e.g. Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya). The room was clean, spatious, had a fan and a mosquito net. Plug points were near the bed. The hosts were very helpful and kind. They made sure that everything was to our convenience. The local dinner they served is was excellent. Even on short notice they prepared a delicious meal. For our day trips they gave us breakfast to go - we appreciated it very much!

If you want to relax outside the room in the evening, you need a mosquito spray.

The family guest house is well run, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower has great water pressure too. The owners are extremely friendly and happy to help you in any way possible.

The location is a bit out of city center and not in a walkable district, so it's recommendable to have a car.

The hosts and the room were very nice. They opened a restaurant with rice and curry which was very good (~8000lkr for 4). The terrace is very agreeable. I would recommend strongly!

No closets or chairs or coat hangers in the room so good for one night if you are 4 but a bit complicated if more nights. The hosts were very nice but a little too present, especially during dinner.

The best facilities I’ve experienced in Sri Lanka. It’s recently renovated and very fresh. The beds were really good and the outdoor seating area is calm and beautiful. It’s located in a very calm and friendly area, within walking distance to Habarana.

The hosts are a lovely elderly couple who, unfortunately, came across as quite intimidating to me. The called and messaged me the day before my arrival, pushing me to make up my plans for the days I was staying with them. Once I got there they continuously kept asking about my plans, eager to make sure I had heaps to do the next day. However, I’m sure it was all well-meant as they made me feel very welcomed and treated well during dinner and breakfast.

Very clean and comfortable - hosts were very willing to assist with anything we needed. We’re able to organise a safari and transport from sigiriya. Both breakfast and dinner were very tasty, would recommend the rice and curry.
