Very peaceful. Nice and warm. Friendly hosts. And we really appreciated the flexibility around check out
The location was beautiful. The fireplace kept us warm and conveniently just the right amount of wood by the back door.
There was no sugar lol a simple thing but we bought some and left it for the next visitors. Oh the beds need electric blankets in winter would be awesome
All as per the pics. Loved the cottage feel. Easy parking. Friendly hostess. Awesome sky view at night too. Good value for money.
Remember to pay in cash. No walking distance to cafeteria or restaurant.
Our stay at the farm was perfect! The location is ideal—quiet and peaceful (especially for those who want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Akaroa), with stunning views. The house is well-equipped, comfortable, and cozy—it immediately feels like home. Sarah was very responsive and helpful. She gave us wonderful recommendations for trips and places to visit in the area and beyond. We would love to come back. Highly recommended. Thank you very much!

Fantastic, secluded and peaceful property. Host were excellent and accommodating. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

Lovely location, great views, very spacious and comfortable accommodation. Wish we'd been able to stay for more than one night.
The owner met us on arrival
Perfect farm stay.
Casa ampia e accogliente, ben organizzata e completa di tutto il necessario. Ambienti puliti e curati. Proprietaria gentile, disponibile e simpatica. Soggiorno davvero piacevole, consigliata.
Nulla da segnalare.
Marie is very friendly and approachable. Her cottage is lovely and spacious for family.

Fantastic views with native bird song. good hosts suggesting things to do in area.

The cottage was very comfortable like home from home. Loved the quirky lamp shades and the standing lampshade :) Nice to have access to Netflix, games and books. A very peaceful and tranquil place.
I can't think of anything
Beautiful view, warm, quaint, amenity was amazing with farm animals, lots of birds, close to attractions , fireplace and piano were the outstanding touches
Na- beautiful stay
Marie还带我们去喂了动物,十分独特的体验
Nice view although it rained all day and night but must be very lovely without rain. Cute sheep and we got to feed them. Nice host.
Quite cold when it rained. Modern heating system is not quite in place. Bedding needs dryer. No dryer.
I really like the sheep and they are really cute and friendly. The owner was very friendly as well. We enjoyed a lot.
The bedings, but we were okay. Thank you.
Beautiful views. Lovely owner who introduced herself. House had a lot of character.
Bedding and furniture a little dated. Main bed wasn’t clean, contacted the owner who was very apologetic.
We love how comfortable the beds are! A well-mannered cat came for a visit. The house is full of positive energy. What a pity we came and went in rainy weather, the lake view must be beautiful in clear days!
The location is absolutely stunning, and the cottage itself is warm, cozy, and full of charm. We spent Memorial Weekend here with family and friends, and it was truly unforgettable. A perfect getaway for creating lasting memories.
Musty sheets damp. Not clean. No milk. Not worth money.
Lovely place in the country
The Beautiful Little River View from this property. This is my second visit
Peace and quiet, beautiful view, most friendly host.
Can't think of a thing...
Location of and atmosphere inside accommodation very good
No negative comments
The hosts were very responsive and made a point of meeting with you at some point during your stay. The views and the location to both Christchurch and Akaroa were all doable for day trips and the local farm life was great.
Slightly dated in furniture and linens but part of the charm.
Lovely hosts, very friendly cat! Fabulous views over the lake and just a lovely relaxed feel the whole time.
Maybe a bit more basic foodstuffs in the pantry, like oil etc.
The location and being close to nature.
The sand flies and the distinct damp smell in the second bedroom.
Great farm stay experience! The house is located at the farm surrounding by beautiful plant, facing the lake and able to view the sunset. The owner has a friendly cat, my daughter love it very much. The owner is very hospitality and kindness, she offer us a sheep feeding session in the next day morning. Surprisingly, the house also a great location for stargazing. We have a lovely and wonderful stay here.
The room cleanliness can be further improved.
Very pleasant accomodation. Equiped kitchen, piano, real fireplace. Sheep feeding. Very friendly host. Lovely sunset view and stars.
Gorgeous location
The linens were a little musty, but everything else was spotless
What an awesome place in a fabulous location. A truly unique place and features, very friendly host, Nature and farm animals of all sorts add to the fantastic views. All mod-cons, quick WiFi, very clean and completely decked out. Many thanks for a great stay that was way too short.
The location was lovely. Beautiful views. The black & white cat was also a lovely companion throughout the visit.
The dining table was sticky with food residue. The cutlery and coffee cups that we selected were dirty, and there was food residue on both. The master bed was comfortable. However, the bedding & pillows smelled musty and like smoke, assumed from the wood burner; however, the house didn't smell like that, and we didn't use the fire. It felt like we were in used bedding, simply because of the smell. There was a dog close by that was barking at times in the late evening. We live on a farm and have dogs, so we are not intolerant. It felt a bit disruptive for our night away, however we appreciate it is a farm. For the price, we thought the outside of the property was very untidy. We stayed the night before in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment in Hanmer which was spotless, with a private garden, kitchen and living area for $209.
Owner was very nice and the atmosphere was excellent.
None
Everything. The serenity, the old world charm, great beds, great showers, but mainly the peace and serenity. Marie was must attentive to our needs and responded in a timely manner.
Everything was good
The hosts are so lovely!! We had such a great stay, it is so beautiful!
Location was good. We were in the area to try and catch the Auroras that were happening at the time. Local beach was good but found on arriving back at the cottage that we were seeing some excellent displays from the property. Had most things you would need to cook a meal or two. Bathrooms were good. Plenty of firewood available although as suggested, its better to put the electric heaters on overnight as the fire does go out due the rules about not being able to damp it down.
It was a bit odd finding quite a lot of food in the cupboard that had obviously left by previous guests. Open boxes of cereal and a lot of random stuff. I hate waste but maybe the owners could use the stuff left by guests as this looked as if it may have been in the cupboard for a while. A couple of new dish sponges/scourers would have been good. This isn't really a negative but we had my two young Grand daughters with us and they had heard me reading reviews to my Daughter, quite a few of which mentioned how neat it was to get home made biscuits dropped in to them. Also quite a few comments of the same thing in the visitors book. We did tell them that not everyone had said they got biscuits but they were a bit disappointed that they weren't one of the lucky ones. So just a heads up to future guests on that.
Location perfect, hosts awesome, bedroom/bathroom set up perfect, loved having he company of the resident cat. Much appreciated cosy log fire and ample firewood
The oven wasn't clean; we had to clean a tray before we could use it. There was no milk but a considerable amount of partially used food in the pantry and fridge. No electric blankets but heaters were available in the bedroom. The mouse trap on the kitchen floor was a random extra!!
Older home that has been updated. It was very homey and had everything we needed. We were only there overnight, but I wish we had more time to spend in the area. Feeding the sheep was a bonus.
Stunning cottage and the claw foot tub was a work of art. Lovely host. Beautiful view. Very friendly sheep.
Quiet location just outside town with lots of space.
BBQ was dirty so we didn’t use it.
The setting was amazing. Lovely views, lovely wildlife and a cute wee cat! The home was very comfortable and perfect for our requirements.
It might be time to replace the frying pans and maybe add some mixing/ salad bowls and tongs.
Koromiko Cottage was delightful, in an idyllic location. The hosts were lovely - even presented us with some delicious fudge! We were extremely happy at the property and had no desire to leave. Property was clean, well-appointed and comfortable. No complaints - except the need for a sharper bread knife lol!!!. Even the sheep came to say hello
Nothing
Quiet unique location on small farm. Clean but dated cottage. Lovely hosts
Maybe some updates to interior
Loved it!
The host is nice and warm. She also let us feed the sheep and told me a lot about the sheep. Wonderful experience!
The house is beautifully decorated. Peaceful and good view. Friendly host. Lovely sheep.
Nothing.
Staying on a small working sheep farm was perfect. It also has a very nice view. The host brought us fudge which was a big hit.
stunning location , the owner was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. Log fire was awesome
there was only 1 fresh bath towel for the 2 of us , the fridge was full of the previous nights guests food and scraps and no milk was provided for coffee/tea
Very spacious, warm, and homely place. Our host was very kind and offered us freshly baked cookies and suggested places to visit and talked about the history of the farm. Feeding the sheep was fun! also saw shooting stars outside the cottage!
All I wanted from a farmstay. Hand feed the sheep, homemade cookies, view of the lake, climb the mountain behind the cottage....magic place and loved it.
That we missed out on the cookies 🤣
Very friendly welcome, lovely environment and a nice cosy wood fire. It was a perfect stay. Our host even left home made sweets
Couldn't have been better
Very cosy with lovely fireplace and all essentials provided… comfy beds and pillows.

lovely location on a farm very quiet with lots of wildlife and glorious sunsets we had a great stay
Location was excellent, host very friendly and inclusive of our children
Very peaceful and quiet. the night sky was just spectacular to watch from that location. Very friendly and kind. Would like to thank the Lady for the amazing cookies she gave us during our stay.. all in all wonderful!!!
Beautiful setting... super clean, homey, and welcoming. The beds were comfortable, several different options for pillows (firm, soft, high, low.) My kids loved the bathtub. Shower water was hot with excellent pressure. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would have stayed longer, but it was all booked up! Marie is such a sweet person---brought us the most amazing cookies (Rob bakes them,) took the kids out into the paddock to feed the sheep, was very friendly and welcoming. The location is great---just a few minutes' drive from Little River, where there are a few small shops, and not too far off the main road. Plenty to see and do in the area, although you'll want to just stay on the porch and enjoy the view!
I didn't like that there were only two available nights! I would have stayed longer if I could. Seriously, though, I can't think of anything that was missing.
We loved being in the country and the lovely view. The cookies and the breakfast were delicious and we also loved feeding the lambs.
The beautiful scenery and the old farm house
Nothing, it was excellent
cosy cottage in lovely setting perfect for family gathering
We enjoyed our stay and Marie is an amazing host. Feeding the sheep as well able to see the night stars , is a highlight of our trip. Highly recommended
