This place is absolutely incredible, and we were delighted by the wonderful breakfasts prepared by Sharon and John—they’re such thoughtful and welcoming hosts. There’s a reason the reviews are so glowing—it’s set in the stunning Kaituna Valley, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Like you, I read all the rave reviews and was sold—and I’m so glad I booked it. The WiFi was great, and the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after several days of hiking.

Incredible place, amazing hosts. After 3 weeks of traveling in New Zealand staying a night or two at many nice places, our stay at Kaituna Homestay was our TOP choice! First, this incredible home is located in a heaven of peaceful nature. We could enjoy the amazing garden and walks, the jacuzzi outside, and the cute animals all around. The room is huge and super comfortable, like a hotel suite. Second, Sharon and John are wonderful and caring hosts, we felt like at home. The breakfast was delicious and better than in restaurants. We left resourced and happy with incredible memories. We will definitely come again, and stay longer.

Kaituna Homestead is a stunning home, so elegant and an overall wholesome experience. The staff are a lovely, friendly couple and the setting is absolutely picterque 10/10

The Homestead and grounds are beautiful and the host Sharon very friendly and welcoming. It’s a very nice peaceful place in the country.You need a car to fully enjoy the location.

We recieved a very warm welcome from Sharon and John at their wonderful homestead in the rural valley with a stunning view. Unfortunately we stayed only one night in this amazing suite.

Exceptional in every aspect. Sumtious bedroom, amazing breakfast, idyllic surrounds, perfect and generous host. A grand country residence with such history and beauty.

Kaituna Valley Homestead is a beautiful, peaceful, fabulous place to stay. Yes, it’s a bit out of the way, but it’s worth the drive. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about it, from the rural setting to our large, comfortable room (great shower pressure) to the farm animals (highland cows!) to the stars at night to the delicious breakfasts both mornings. Sharon and John are friendly, thoughtful hosts. Highly recommend!

A magnificent house in an idyllic environment. The welcome from Sharon and John was super warm. 4 nights spent there and very sad to leave. The suite has a lot of charm with its veranda and its view of the garden. The à la carte breakfasts are exceptional. Impossible to forget such a place

it’s hard to describe how truly exceptional Kaituna Valley Homestead is - the most luxurious bed I’ve ever slept in situated in such a generous room, home cooked breakfast each morning, our own enclosed veranda looking out to the most peaceful views across the valley that you could imagine and never tire of, exceptional hosts in Sharon and John, lovely bath and amenities, access to outside spa, all in such peace and quiet - it was the perfect end to our time in NZ after some major walks - we’ll definitely be back.

Gracious homestead with beautiful gardens, set in a very picturesque location. Peaceful and tranquil, a luxurious stay with all possible comforts. Generous and hospitable hosts. Next time we will definitely stay for two nights or more.

The welcome was warm. The gardens are lovely and pastureland beyond makes a beautiful peaceful backdrop. The house and furnishings are beautifully appointed and match the old villa. We sat in the spa pool and watched the stars come out. The breakfast which was made to order was fresh and plentiful.
