Un super séjour, court mais très confortable dans cette petite chambre où tout était à disposition, et l’emplacement était parfait, à 5 min en voiture du port à peine.

Location was a fair way from town and the rooms were small.

The lounge area was not accessible so you were confined to your room if you did not go out

Locatie is o.k. Op loopafstand (20 min.) van het oude centrum van Kinsale. Parkeerplaats voor de deur. Hygiëne en bedden o.k. Vooraf een smsbericht ontvangen welke deur de ingang was en waar de sleutel lag. Die communicatie was o.k., maar niemand gezien. Beetje onpersoonlijk. Er lag een briefje in de hal met onze naam.

Je moet vooraf onthouden dat je op nr. 50 moet zijn want er staat geen naambordje op het pand. De kamer is zeer krap. Het tafeltje met de thee-/koffiefaciliteiten, dus ook de waterkoker, staat IN de linnenkast. De linnenkast stond rechts van het bed waar normaal een nachttafeltje staat. M.a.w. aan rechts is geen nachttafeltje en geen nachtlampje. Dingen die je normaliter op een nachttafeltje legt moesten in de vensterbank worden gelegd. De vensterbank bevindt zich over de gehele breedte van het bed/aan het hoofdeinde van het bed. Tussen bed en wand weinig ruimte. Aan de andere kant van het bed staat een heel smal nachttafeltje en dat is ook de breedte die daar naast het bed beschikbaar is. De douche bevindt zich IN de badkuip. Dat is, als je mobiliteit beperkt is, een lastige in- en uitstap. Ik reis 3,5 week door Ierland op de motor. Andere accommodaties die veel goedkoper waren, waren veel conmfortabeler. In die zin was bij Summer Cottage bij mij sprake van een scheven prijs/kwaliteit verhouding.

Great location on the edge of town. Easy walk in. Room good though stuffy overnight with no fan. Shower was only just adequate. For the price you pay to spend less than 24 hours due to very late check in that you’d have a decent availability of hot water.

Perfect stop-over for our needs. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable, and it was well placed for a quick and easy walk into town. Although we didn't actually meet our host, Cara, she kept in touch via messages and was very friendly. I would definitely recommend Summer Cottage

Convenient parking.

Very small room upstairs in a small renovated house. Effectively an air BNB without the breakfast. A fair way out of town. Very hot room due to weather. Never met the owner.

Wir wurden sehr angenehm von Breandan empfangen. Das Hotel ist wirklich schön, die Tapeten kunstvoll. Eben ein Art-Hotel. Die Bar und Frühstück waren gut sortiert und alle Mitarbeiter freundlich und sehr bemüht.

Steile und schmale Treppe ins Obergeschoss. Etwas eng um mit einem Koffer hochzusteigen. Es war keine Person anwesend.

The owner was very friendly and great with communication The room was small but had enough room for a double bed and all of our luggage and was very clean. I also appreciated that there was a bathroom that was attached to our room. Overall a great stay and a good value to spend the night.

The only improvement I would make is to add a larger mini fridge to the room. Otherwise I have no other suggestions.

The room was clean and she had nice amenities available. We never met the owner but she was “attentive” via text.

This is a personal thing and nothing to do with the quality of our stay: I thought the location was a bit loser to Kinsale old town and not in a first ring suburb. Our experience was clouded by the fact that it was the Friday of a Bank Holiday: everything everywhere was totally jammed. Our ignorance, not the host’s responsibility. Lesson learned. Also one guest came in at about 3am; old skeleton keys make a lot of noise in door locks at that hour!

Exactly what we needed! Very comfortable and clean. Cara was a great host.

The room was neat but too cramped for 2 people. One suggestion would be to get rid of the wardrobe and have a chest of drawers, so the person on that side has somewhere to put a cup etc

The home and the room we stayed in were very nice, and the location was excellent--on a quiet street within walking distance from the Kinsale town center (about 10-15 min.). The room was cute, the beds were comfortable, and there was good storage for clothing, etc. Our host, Cara, was very friendly and welcoming, and quick to respond to any messages we sent. We stayed two nights, and after the first one, Cara made sure to come by while we were out, to provide fresh towels and neaten up the room. We appreciated the tea/coffee tray with hot pot and mugs. It was great to have a dedicated parking spot as well.

It felt a little cramped for the two of us with our suitcases, but that's not the room's fault! We were in Ireland for 10 days and had a lot of stuff. ;-) Also, we're Americans, so we're used to having a top sheet on our bed (though we soon realized that it's the norm to have only a bottom sheet in Ireland, at least in all the lodgings we stayed at--so this really isn't a complaint!).

Bedroom size extremely small for a double. For 2 people very limited space to put anything. Only one bedside table. No where to make a cuppa, tea making facilities were in bottom of wardrobe. Sound from other rooms carried a lot.

Facilities were excellent however, the rooms were very small, so we found it a bit awkward to access suitcases.

Sehr nette Gastgeberin, auch wenn wir Cara persönlich nicht begegnet sind, so bestand doch immer Kontakt. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig in einer Wohnsiedlung, was ich sehr angenehm fand nachdem ich gemerkt habe wie lebhaft Kinsale ist. Zentrum und Hafen sind fußläufig in 10 Minuten erreichbar (Achtung, Kinsale hat Hanglage, manche Wege sind etwas steiler). Für Ausflüge ist man in schnell auf den Haupt-Verbindungsstraßen ohne durchs Zentrum fahren zu müssen. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, das Bett war sehr bequem und das Bad sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Warmwasser-Zeiten für die Dusche sind zwar eingegrenzt, aber so, dass man sich gut danach richten kann. Frühstück wird hier nicht angeboten, doch gibt es fußläufig einige Cafès mit guten Frühstücksangebot. Eine Mappe mit allen wichtigen Informationen und Tipps liegt auf dem Zimmer aus.

Da das Zimmer nicht besonders groß war, gab es dort wenig Stauraum und zu zweit musste man sich beim Umkleiden etc. ein wenig koordinieren. Dafür gab es zusätzlichen Stauraum im Bad.

Gorgeous clean cottage in a fabulous location and so easy to walk into town. Welcoming host and the treats were delicious.

Erg vriendelijke host. Mooie accommodatie, net buiten het centrum (ongeveer 12 minuten lopen).

Er was alleen warm water tussen 07.00 en 10.00 ‘s ochtends en tussen 17.00 en 20.00 ‘s avonds (de tijden kunnen niet helemaal kloppen).

Easy check in. We were able to go right in and go up to our rooms. The rooms were comfy and parking was close. It was nice to be able to walk into town.

Having use of an off road parking space was helpful. Written communication was efficient and speedy. Area was quiet and felt safe.

Never actually met host during check in or check out which felt a bit odd. Tea making facilities were great but needs a bit more thought concerning safety. An update of the twin room would be an improvement.

Kind, friendly and well versed with local tourist attractions. She is eager to help guide her guests have a wonderful visit to kinsale. Perfect location! Beautiful room with a lovely enclosed back garden. A real gem

This place is adorable!! The rooms are clean, comfortable, and decorated well. Cara was so hospitable and easy to work with. We loved staying in a quieter area and just walking into town. It was a short 13 minute walk, so easy. I highly recommend staying here!

We had a great, much needed sleep after our travels. Although a small room and very small bathroom, the place was well located in a quiet area and easily accessible. Very clean and tidy.

The property was very comfortable and clean. A nice quiet location about ten minutes walk from the main town.

The room was very small which was difficult with cases but fine for one night. What I would have appreciated was access to a kettle and or water station. There was only one tumbler in the bathroom and with no breakfast on offer it would have been nice to have had a cup of tea before we set out for the day. Over all it was a nice stay. I was also confused on check in and check out times as I received two emails one saying 5pm check out 10am and another 4pm and check out 9am.

Cara is a friendly and wonderful host. Left us muffins outside our door in the morning. She also helped with directions to get to the downtown part of Kinsale. The location was great and about a 10 minute walk to downtown (I’m a fast walker though!). Bed was great and comfortable. Bathroom was great and clean. Excellent stay! 😀

The "Cottage in Kinsale" was exactly as advertised! The host was very proactive in reaching out to us as we neared Kinsale to check in if we needed anything. The entry was seamless and the rooms well appointed and comfortable. We debated on the location because it is a short distance from the center of the village and we were traveling with an older person but in the end opted to stay here due to the description and price. The hosts provided us with walking directions that were brilliant. The 10 minute stroll takes you past some of Kinsale's landmarks and is very easy. In fact, we very much appreciated the walk home after a good dinner in the village. Breakfast is not included, however there are a couple of very good options nearby. We chose the Lemon Leaf, which was amazing!

Everything met our expectations!
