Hotel Harbour View Colaba

The room was well decorated and the location was extremely central to city hotspots. The staff were incredibly hospitable and friendly.

It wasn't a deal breaker but breakfast could've been a bit more extensive in options and improvements could be made to the quality of the drinks served such as a coffee machine that also does tea instead of hot water in a flask.

Great position, a few steps from the Gateway of India and Colaba Causeway. Good range of restaurants within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable. Good WiFi.

The room did not have any views. In general, reception could have been more friendly and more helpful.

Very comfortable room & bed. They even set you up with a variety of pillows with different softness - a good pillow is important! We want to add that the reception went above and beyond to help us to understand the train ticketing system. I cannot praise the staff highly enough.

Good location near the tourist spots. Breakfast was great but started a bit late. Comfortable rooms & beds.

Location is nice

Not worth the money. Bed sheets and quilt is nit clean and in bad condition. There were loud knocking sound on the wall whole day couldnt stay there peacefully even after complaining to the staff the sound continued untill evening 0630. Also room have dust whole time.

Het is een eenvoudig hotel, dus kamers en ontbijt. Het is schoon en het personeel is zeer vriendelijk. Tip: Als je van het vliegveld komt en nog geen Indiaas geld hebt, kun je beter niet wisselen op het vliegveld, maar vraag het personeel. Scheelt 10 tot 20% is mijn ervaring.

This hotel was in an absolutely fantastic location. Very close to the Gates of India, The Taj Hotel and of course Leopolds. I would book it again in a heartbeat. The staff were exceptionally helpful. Room was beautiful and spotless.

I only have 1 small issue, and that is that the staff in the restaurant wanted my sister to pay in cash on the last evening. It all got sorted eventually and we paid at reception by card as we had previously.

the location and cleanliness

It is in a nice area, and its ok for an old hotel. I liked the view, good bar and restaurant staff are nice I booked a room with balcony but its quite small and way too hot to enjoy this time of year but the room otherwise is nice with a side view of the india gate . The pillows we first had were hard but they very quickly gave us nice soft ones when we asked - thank you

I paid $110 for the room on booking then saw the night before the price had dropped to $80. The room is definitely not worth what i paid but I know thats how booking works, if I paid 80 it would have been worth it - for $110 u can get better for sure. The room is cleaned properly but management need to repaint bathroom ceilings etc and arrange those deep cleans to get rid of ceiling mold which happens in the tropics

Breakfast was a bit of an ordinary spread, but they still made omelettes which saved it!

Location is really good which is just down from India Gate.

Room was old and tired and bathroom covered in black mold. Desperately needs refreshed and updated. No towels when we arrived. Reception coukdnt arrange transfers from and to the airport and told us to arrange ourselves.

Room payment was demanded on arrival - and passports retained for a short time for ‘interpol searches’ it was quite a contrast to the greetings we were used to at other hotels in India. It’s a strange set up - with no hotel lobby as such. One of our rooms was right by the reception desk..to be fair we had no issues with noise as we thought we might. It just set an odd tone at the outset. The pillows in one of our rooms were solid with barely any give - the duvets were very poor quality and tired. The cotton had bobbled and it was unpleasant on the skin. The bathroom was a little grubby and the bedside lights needed a good clean. The fridge was good. The bathroom could do with an anti fog mirror or at least provide a room mirror over the table. No hair dryer - had to ask. Loads of good pressure hot water.

Top ! Très bien situé dans quartier Colaba.

Staff is pathetic , they are dictators and don’t want do service , there breaks fast timing mention on print out at hotel room was8- 11 Am at 10.30 when we went for breakfast they reduced and they are very very rude asked us to sit outside , Restaurant is closed now . That’s not how you behave in hotel industry . Pathetic is the one word i would say for them !!

Hjælpsomt personale og en rigtig god placering ud mod vandet og tæt på det historiske centrum. Fin tagterrasse og restaurant øverst. Ok rent men trænger til en grundrengøring i krogene.

Das Deluxeimmer Nr. 301 mit Balkon ist das Geld wert, fantastische Sicht auf die Bay und seitlich auf das Gate of India, sehr geschmackvolle Ausstattung, klein aber fein, recht ordentliches Dachrestaurant, gut für abends, wenn man nicht noch lange in die Innenstadt laufen möchte, sehr zentral, wunderbares sehr freundliches Personal, va. Sahil und Justin. Als Taxifahrer vor dem Hotel wärmstens Jarved (für Koli-slum/Dhobis/Malabar, und va Dharavi) zu empfehlen und als intelelktuellen Taxifahrer Rahul. Insgesamt ist das Harbour View u.E. in der Superlage das absolut beste StadtHotel für Mumbai, was man sich vorstellen kann. und auch leisten kann. Wir kommen wieder.

von außen etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber von innen fein! Fürhstück etwas lieblos, aber natürlich typisch indisch-, gibt aber Toast und Eier. Zur unten stehenden Strand Frage: die gesamte arabische See in Mumbai ist stärkstens verdreckt. Man kann dort nciht ins Wasser gehen! Tagsüber ist Chowpatti Beach im März total heiß, so dass man sich da nicht aufhalten kann.

Restaurant hygiene was bad even breakfast was included but didn’t eat coz when I was reached I had one cold coffee but they use reusable straw. I mean how come anyone use reusable straw and that too was dirty and coffee is over priced rs 325 .and tasted awful.

Reception staff was rude and condescending. Their Imperious attitude was completely counter-productive with this foreign visitor, although members of the National community may be more willing to accept the verdicts they hand out. When I arrived for check-in, I was told three times that I did not have a booking. I showed them my CONFIRMED booking, and after five minutes they produced a printout indicating my reservation was "Modified" but seemingly not confirmed by the hotel. I do not recall "modifying" my booking, which clearly was CONFIRMED. Despite this trifle, they deigned to allow me to check in. They refused to honor my request for a 1 PM checkout, one hour after their normal 12 noon checkout - as my international flight did not depart until 8 PM. I did not really feel welcome at this hotel.

Location perfect. Hotel is actually 3rd and 4th floor within another hotel. Comfy bed. Their airport driver was a great guy

Avoid room 311. Banging from rooftop kitchen above at 01:45am and again at 6:30am. Breakfast advertised on booking 7-10:30, reception said breakfast available from 7:30 (we were leaving for airport at 8am) went upstairs 7:30am to be told breakfast not available till 8am, asked for a coffee, told to come back in 10mins, then was offered a sachet of Nescafe and some hot water. Guys this is 2026, at least offer filter coffee if you cant do a proper espresso especially when you charge £100 a night in Mumbai for a room which looks at a brick wall and has a tired mouldy bathroom and noisy ceiling fan. In past experience hotels are very hit and miss in Mumbai, this one was a miss. Wouldn’t stay again

Our rooms were ready within 20 minutes of our arrival, which was 10am. Lovely comfortable bed and powerful shower. Excellent location with stunning views and the rooftop cafe served wonderful food. Staff were really friendly.

It was Eid while we were staying and so many people came to the rooftop bar late at night- our room was underneath and the constant scraping of chairs was extremely noisy in our room- breakfast was also very limited

The location is 10/10 right on the Colaba waterfront in the best area of Mumbai, walkable and interesting. Small upstairs property with modernised rooms, get a front ine if you csn (well worth it fir the sea view). The rooftop restaurant where breakfast is served overlooking the whole harbour is to die for, and food is ok.

Lift wasn’t working properly and our rear room was a bit small and internalised (all that was available).

L'hôtel est au 3ème étage avec un rooftop très sympa avec restaurant. Ascenseur, climatisation, ventilateur, eau chaude avec pression, douche fermée. Il est situé face au port et très près de la porte de l'inde et du majestueux hôtel Taj Mahal. La chambre et la salle de bain sont spacieuses. La literie est confortable.

Nice central location. Room is OK, but a expensive for what it offers. I guess this is due to location in Mumbai.

An amazing location by the Taj and Gateway to India. One large male receptionist was a bit grumpy on arrival but he warmed up in the three days we were there. All the other staff were great. The rooftop restaurant served great food and was great fun. All in all a great and enjoyable visit and base for exploring Mumbai.
