Villa Mangku in Ricefield

Devy was very helpful and able to be contacted anytime throughout our stay. Villa was lovely and the kids loved the pool, they even delivered a giant blow up swan for the kids to use. A few restaurants less than 5 min walk away down the lane way.

Knowing what days there was housekeeping coming would have been helpful

Devey the host was amazing. Helped with our activities and transport. Got to go to extra places along the way to and back from our Villa.

This property is prime location for being out of the hustle and bustle, but not to far walk to town. Beautiful place!

La villa est très jolie, agréable, confortable et de style balinais avec cuisine et séjour extérieur. C'est dépaysant .Elle est située à l'écart du centre d'Ubud ce qui permet de bénéficier du calme (juste les bruits de la nature, surtout la nuit, mais pas de souci pour dormir). C'est très reposant. Les lits sont très confortables et les salles de bain sont belles et les douches fonctionnent bien. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le restaurant à côté de la villa "Hideaway", n'hésitez pas c'est très bon et le personnel est très gentil avec une belle piscine à disposition avec vue sur la jungle et le coucher de soleil. Sinon, Davy peut faire livrer des repas à la villa, c'est très pratique. Nous avons bien apprécié la cérémonie de purification que Davy a organisé au temple. Nous avons utilisé le service de blanchisserie à un prix très raisonnable.

Pour certaines excursions proposées par Davy, nous avons eu l'impression que le tarif était un peu élevé. Pensez à comparer. Le chemin jusqu'à la villa traverse des rizières, c'est très joli et Davy s'occupe d'emmener les bagages (ouf) mais il ne convient pas aux personnes qui ont des difficultés à marcher ou aux petits enfants qui peuvent courir partout (de l'eau de chaque côté et des trous). La nuit il faut éclairer avec le téléphone. Mais en faisant attention ça n'est pas un problème ! L'endroit se mérite ,😊

Ligging in rijstvelden verhoogt de Indonesië ervaring. Daarnaast vier ruime kamers allen voorzien van airconditioning. Leuke wahrung aan het begin van de straat. Devy is een fijne host, behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Opstaan om ‘‘s morgens vroeg om 04.30 uur de bagage naar de weg te brengen, was voor hem een kleine moeite. Het contact met hem verliep zeer soepel.

El alojamiento está genial. Devy estuvo super pendiente de nosotros y nos ofreció muchisimas cosas para hacer en Ubud. Si volviera, me quedaria aqui otra vez. Para llegar a la casa hay que hacer una parte andando desde la carretera porque está entre arrozales pero es un paseo rápido y muy tranquilo.

Es un sitio genial super tranquilo y bien ubicado. El dueño es super amable nos ayudo con todo, nos trajo motos para todos nos reservo taxis para movernos y nos consiguio actividades super baratas.

We are family of 6 people,4 adults and 2 kids are really enjoyed our stay at this villa, beautiful view, beautiful peaceful morning, peaceful space. We stayed for only one night and regret that we didn't stay longer. There is a very good restaurant nearby as well. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The next day we went to the rice terraces and it was a very short drive.

Spacious, beautiful space

Denne villa ligger virkelig midt i rismarkerne. Meget idyllisk. Man kommer dertil til fods, ellers scooter. Masser af plads og en dejlig pool. Devy og personalet er meget venlige og hjælpsomme. Vi var fx på en dejlig tur til risterrasserne og en kaffeplantage. Min familie og jeg nød opholdet og giver vores bedste anbefalinger.

The villa and owner were amazing. Villa had everything you needed while still having that Bali feel. The owner Devy checked in each day to see if we needed anything organised, nothing was too much trouble. Villa is about 45 minute walk through beautiful rice fields to town or about 5-10 minute walk to road where you can grab transport. This place made for a great relaxing girls trip. Everything was amazing!

Its 350m from mainroad, and it feels pretty open, so it was a bit scary that all rooms didn't have lock and key.

We had a wonderful stay in Bali! The villa was very clean, spacious, and perfect for our family. The kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary items, and the pool was excellent for both kids and adults to relax and enjoy. The host was extremely helpful throughout our trip — he even helped us plan our itinerary and arranged our vehicle and transport smoothly, which made our travel stress-free. The staff/helper at the property was also very kind, friendly, and always ready to help whenever needed. Overall, the stay truly made our Bali vacation memorable and comfortable. Highly recommended for families and groups visiting Bali!

Todo, la villa tiene una ubicación buena. El espacio , las camas son cómodas . Devy gran anfitrión , te ayuda en todo lo que necesites. Recomendado 100%. Lo único para llegar a la villa hay que pasar por arrozales que al amanecer se ven espectaculares.

Nothing to dislike about the Villa. Highlight of our stay however was “Devi” the owner. Such a wonderful host he is. He left no stone unturned to make us as comfortable as possible. He ran our errands, drove us in his jeep to do different trips, booked tickets for us for different attractions at much cheaper rates. Property is located 2.6 km of center in a scenic rice fields setting. Four very spacious rooms with comfy beds. Has a great pool. Smart tv with YouTube etc. Good WiFi. Nearby Warrung- the local eatery (500m) does home delivery.

Location is a little turn-off being off-city but Devy doesn’t make you feel that with his 24/7 driving to and from city centre with a wide and reassuring grin.

我是從台灣來的，第一次經歷這種別墅行程，對我們來說是很新奇的，重點是超便宜！有兩層樓，四間房間，每個房間都有獨立衛浴，有游泳池，只能說應有盡有，但相對的是需要走5-10分鐘才能抵達的別墅，但飯店員工們都會幫忙載行李！很讚！

Devy is a fantastic host and can accomodate all you need or want to plan. The house is clean, with a swimming pool to refresh after a long day of tourism. There is the possibility to order dinner at home and the restaurant is fabulous 😋. The location is not in the chaos of ubud which is crowed, a little outside but so close to everything. Devy took the time to explain local customs and celebrations. As said he can organize you great tour with activities (rafting, quad, treck), temple visits and all you want actually, we even booked massage for all the family 😉 We definetely enjoyed our stay and recommend villa mangku for the house/location and the top host Devy

La maison est très joliment décorée '( meubles en bois, sculptures...) et confortable. Café et eau à disposition. Jolie promenade dans les rizières juste en sortant de la maison. Devy est aux petits soins, toujours disponible, propose des activités... Très bons Warung à proximité (pengkolan).

Juste pour dire quelque chose : Piscine un peu froide. Chemin d'accès un peu difficile (à pieds ou scooter uniquement) mais ils transportent les valises à l'arrivée et au départ.

The villa was nestled between the rice fields and the stay was pleasant and calming, the host arranges for food and balinese massages for cheaper prices.

The property does not have a car parking so everyday we had to walk atleast 600-800m to reach the villa, which was pretty inconvenient after a tiring day. But our hosts were proactive in helping us with our luggages while checking in and out, so that was helpful

Fantastic place to stay. very spacious for our family. If you want a place to relax and not do too much. This place is perfect looking over the rice fields. Around a 500mt walk from road but it's well worth it. Devy and his staff were amazing. The Villa has everything you need. ☺️ Will stay here again.

We were warmly welcomed by Devy the host who was very helpful and helped organising activities as well as taking us sightseeing. There's a small Warung at the end of the pathway used to get to the villa (a bit more than 5 minutes walk) that serves delicious meals from breakfast to dinner. Overall, a great stay 👍 I somewhat wish we had continued our stay in Ubud instead of heading to Seminyak afterwards as we were very comfortable Villa Mangku. Thank you Devy.

The downstairs bedrooms are a bit too humid for my liking so I chose one of the upstairs room with view onto the pool and rice field, this may be due to the outdoor shower concept.

We traveled as a group of 7; 3 couples and a single. We each had our own bedroom with en suite bathroom. Aircon and ceiling fans in every bedroom. Double storey villa with ample living area for time together and time apart. Beautiful private swimming pool. The location was fantastic. Set in the rice paddy, there is a 500m walk to the main road in one direction with a delightful coffee shop for delicious meals and coffee. Devy and Wayan shuttle your bags by scooter while you have an easy flat walk to the villa. Walking from the Villa in the opposite direction takes you right into Ubud - again an easy flat walk with plenty art, clothing and coffee shops on the way. The WIFI is excellent and Devy is really helpful. We had massages in the villa, takeaways delivered, our fridge topped up beverages as we ordered. We cannot recommend Villa Mangku more highly. Devy was a fabulous tour guide and arranged a spectacular cooking course for us all.

A little bit far from main road

The villa was amazing. It was even better in person than in the photos. All of the bedrooms were very large, had high ceilings, and their own bathrooms. The house was beautiful. The pool was generously sized and allowed our kids hours of fun playtime! We loved the peaceful setting in the rice fields. Our host Devy was so helpful and accommodating. He helped arrange drivers for us, several different excursions/tours, and was very responsive to all questions. We had an incredible time in Bali and loved staying at this villa in Ubud! Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again!

Amazing place. Loved it. Villa is a dream. Really couldnt ask for anything more. Host is as helpful as possible, even can offer extra amenities if someone wishes. Location is outside of Ubud. Need taxi to get there from Ubud BUT the way from Villa to Ubud is a beautiful narrow downhill path between ricefields and jungle river ridge. In our opinion more beautiful than the short and touristy Campuhan walk. Would visit again in the future if possible

This place is perfect and absolutely deserving of its high rating. Location is so peaceful. Easy to get to Ubud either by a 15 minute Gojek or a 45 minute walk entirely through rice fields with small local traders on the way. The air is much cooler (still hot, it's Bali!) being in the rice fields which was nothing but welcomed. Mosquitoes were also no worse here than anywhere else I have stayed. The host is amazing. He made us feel so welcome and ensured we had the best stay possible. The villa is so spacious and decorated beautifully.

My friends and I had a lovely time at Devyn’s property. He is extremely polite and friendly, always ready to help us no matter the time or situation. We are very grateful for the hospitality and for the time that we spent at Vila Mangku.

Nothing, we liked everything.

The villa is in the middle of lush green ricefields, you see fireflies at night, swim in the pool, enjoy breakfast watching the ricefields, go for morning run with mother nature. The Villa helper Wayan treated us like her kids.. fed us amazing food. Cooked as per our needs including local cuisine. Villa owner Devi and Kadek made us feel part of their family. We participated in local ceremonies with them and even visited their family home. No traffic noise, only birds and frogs..

There is a 10min walk from main road to villa. It does not have car access as I knew at time of booking. For disabled / aged, it might be difficult.

Very clean and kept in very good condition like on the photos. The owner of the property was amazing, greeted us with bag of fruits and was very helpful.

The best thing about staying at this property was the customer service. Devy meets you at the house on day number one and gives you everything you need. He arranged scooters to be dropped off at our villa for a day rental. He took us to the volcano at 2AM and arranged for a tour guide to take us up the mountain. He arranged for someone to pick up, wash, and then return our laundry. He finally took us to the airport when our stay was complete. Top notch customer service. House was also cleaned every day. And to top all of that off, the house is far from exquisite. It’s like a hidden gem on top of a hill surrounded by traditional rice fields. You can walk down the hill to the Main city of Ubud and walk through all the rice fields. You’ll pass a yoga studio, countless hidden cafes and restaurants and just good vibes. We couldn’t have been happier.

The beds were hard, too hard for us, the walk in, which I didn’t mind may be a draw back for others
