Wonderful staff who truly care about their guests. They organized an amazing free tour on day one, a great safari. Plus, accepting card payments was a huge relief. Would definitely stay here again!

Recomanem totalment aquest allotjament i fer el safari al parc de Yala amb ells. Els amfitrions son molt amables i estan pendents que no et falti res. Si agafes el safari amb ells, quan arribes a l'hotel el primer dia et fan un tour gratuït pel llac molt i molt recomanable on vam poder veure ocells, cocodrils i a la posta de sol la sortida dels rat penats gegants. Recomanem totalment aquest allotjament.

Bemühtes nettes Personal, welches uns am ersten Abend noch eine Führung an den See zu Büffel, Krokodilen, Vögeln und Fledermäusen gab und man durfte die Bambis im Garten füttern. Leckeres Abendessen und gutes Frühstück. Organisiertem eine schöne Safari. Zimmer war schön und hatte alles was man für einen kurzen Aufenthalt braucht.

Nosotros hicimos el safari que nos organizó en Yala y super bien. Ademas calidad-precio es perfecto. Tuvimos un problema con un dron y el chico nos llevo a su casa de al lado para que pudieramos usar su ordenador. Super amable todo el personal.

La experiencia en este alojamiento fue increíble. Al llegar, nos llevaron a un safari de atardecer por el lago donde pudimos ver muchos pájaros y crocodrilos, para acabar con murciélagos. La cena te la facilitan en el hotel bajo demanda y estaba buenísima! Hicimos con ellos el safari y súper bien, hasta se levantaron a las 4.15 para ponernos un café. El personal es encantador, siempre pendientes y te facilitan absolutamente todo. Hasta nos vinieron a recoger al bus y nos llevaron de vuelta. Un 100/10. La habitación estaba genial también, muy amplia y con buen aire acondicionado. No pudimos disfrutarla mucho por el madrugón pero sin duda, si volvemos a Sri Lanka volveremos a este lugar!

La amabilidad, las camas son muy cómodas, el aire funciona muy bien. Te llevan a dar un paseo por el lago y se preocupan en todo momento que todo estés bien. No hicimos el safari con ellos, eso lo podemos opinar, pero en todo lo demás sin duda un 10.

Heerlijk verblijf! Super vriendelijke mensen. Fijne kamer. Bij aankomst direct naar het meer gebracht om naar de vleermuizen te kijken voor een tour. Heerlijk eten.

De kamers waren een beetje gehorig en had last van de honden op straat in de nacht.

the room were nicely furnished, beds were comfy and the staff were really sweeet. they booked our safari and a taxi for our next destination which was very convenient. the safari was very good but block 1 is super crowded and a 45 min drive away but that’s the not hotel’s fault.

the food options were expensive compared to what we have seen. for us the food took long and came out slightly cold as well.

Schöne Unterkunft in guter Lage. Ausgesprochen freundliches Team. Safaris (halbtags oder ganztags) werden auch kurzfristig organisiert. Wir haben eine ganztägige Safari gebucht und es war ein wunderschöner Tag. Auch den abendlichen Besuch der Fledermäuse am Tissa Lake können wir wärmstens empfehlen, ebenso wie die Hirschfütterung.

Établissement impeccable situé non loin du magnifique lac de Debarawewa ou on peut voir beaucoup d'oiseaux dans 1 paysage magnifique. Accessible à pied Le gérant de l'établissement nous y a emmené faire 1 tour du lac à la recherche des différents oiseaux et voir le ballet des chauve-souris le soir venu. Personnel charmant et très disponible. L'établissement n'est pas à Tissahamarana même ms ce n'est pas gênant pour les Safaris, soit organisés par l'hôtel, soit que vous l'avez réservé avant car ils viennent vous chercher. Super endroit

Everything was perfect

Het is een prachtige locatie, met veel mogelijkheden. Je kan er ook warm eten. Het is eenvoudig om het stadje te bezoeken. Het meest fantastische is de betrokkenheid van het resort. We zijn in de avond meegenomen naar het meer, waar we veal vogels, maar ook een krokodil en buffels hebben gezien bij ondergaande zon. De safari was goed geregeld en de moeite waard. We zijn zelfs naar het busstation gebracht. Het is een absolute aanrader!

Alles was perfect!

We had the most wonderful stay at Nehansa. The room and facilities were so clean and comfortable, the food was delicious and we felt so well looked after by Hansi and Chamika. On our first night they showed us the wild deer who come to visit each night, then Dilum took us to a lake nearby where we saw lots of wildlife. Then we did the safari with Nehansa the next day where we were so lucky to see countless elephants, two(!!) leopards in the trees and so much more! We strongly recommend booking your Yala stay and safari with Nehansa.

Very friendly staff and helpful. They organized my transportation from Ella to Tissa and booked safari trips for me. I felt safe and being well looked after. They include breakfast and dinner option for me. Money for value.

Wir hatten eine perfekten Aufenthalt im Nehansa Resort! - Priyankara war so super nett. Hat uns abgeholt in der Stadt. Ein sehr toller Gesamtservice wie im kleinen 5 - Sterne - Hotel!!! 🙂😊 Die Safari war super organisiert und wir haben wunderbare frei lebende Wildtiere sehen können. 🐘🐆🐊🕊️🦃... We stayed here for our Safari Trip to Yala National Park which we booked through the hotel. The trip was great and we saw a lot of animals including Leopards! The accommodation was a lovely calming place and the staff were very attentive. I would definitely stay again.

Overall very pleasant experience. The staff made a great effort to help out as much as possible (even though they don’t offer a laundry service they took care of that and outsourced it without a problem). Room was comfy, AC worked perfectly fine. The manager organised a nice half-day safari for a very reasonable price. Food there is excellent as well (I had all my lunches and dinners there). Totally recommend that place.

The location was great and allowed us to access Yala early in the morning. The owner took us on a local tour for the evening showing us birdlife on the lagoon, crocodiles and then we watched the numerous fruit bats leave their roost for the evening. They helped sort out Yala safari and the driver met us at the door for a brilliant time at the park spotting animals. He also took us to our next location for a reasonable price and dropped us to our door. They were amazingly welcoming and the room was a good size and clean. For the price it was perfect.

Very good facilities: clean room with AC and a comfortable bed and shower, and good food. But most of all extremely friendly and helpful personell. We received a tour of the local lake in the evening, coffee and cake at 4AM before our safari, fresh home made pastries from their own bakery and we were dropped off at the bus station ~6 km away - all free of charge. Would recommend this place to anyone!

We had a very nice stay at Nehansa Resort Yala. The owner’s behaviour was very welcoming and friendly, and the cleanliness of the resort was excellent. One of the best parts was seeing jungle deer in the garden — you can even feed them, which was a unique experience. They also kindly offered us a complimentary visit to Tissa Lake, which made the stay even more memorable. They also provide safari jeeps.

Excellent value for money . The host kindly arranged our safari to Yala. They also took us into their backyard to feed the wild deer & to a nearby lake to see the bats & crocodiles. They truly went above & beyond.

We have stayed in 8 hotels and homestays during our tour of Sri Lanka ... and this was the best, it was exceptional! The room, the location were great. But the thing that really made it was the care, consideration, and friendly approach of the staff and the owner. From fresh coconuts on arrival, to feeding deer in the garden, to bird and bat watching, to very early pre-safari drinks all included. Plus a volunteered free lift the short distance to our chosen restaurant. I 100% recommend a stay here.

Wir waren nur eine Nacht in Nehansa Resort, da wir eine Safari im Yala Nationalpark gemacht haben. Der Aufenthalt war von vorne bis hinten toll! Wir wurden von Beginn an herzlich empfangen. Bei der Ankunft gab es frische Kokosnüsse, danach wurden uns hinter dem Haus Bambis gezeigt und am Abend ging es noch auf eine kleine Mini-Safari zum nahegelegenen See (gesehen haben wir dabei Krokodile, Vögel, Büffel und Schildkröten). Am nächsten Tag ging es um 04:30 los zur Safari im Yala Nationalpark. Wir haben die Safari direkt über die Unterkunft gebucht und würden dies 100% weiterempfehlen. Der Preis ist angemessen und unser Fahrer hat sich sehr bemüht, dass wir so viele Tiere wie möglich sehen können. Wir haben in der ersten Stunde unserer Safari direkt einen Leoparden gespottet und waren die ersten 5 min ganz alleine bevor die anderen Jeeps kamen. Das war eine ganz tolle Erfahrung!

Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit sauberen Zimmern und einem guten Frühstück. Das Nehansa Team ist super nett und zuvorkommend. Man kann auch super Abendessen dort. Ich hatte ein technisches Problem mit der Dusche und bekam sofort ein neues Zimmer weiches sogar größer war. Man kann über die Unterkunft bequem die Safari buchen und wird vorm Homestay abgeholt. Bei der Abfahrt hat mich der Besitzer sogar zum Bus gebracht. Einfach rundum eine tolle Unterkunft die sich wirklich Mühe gibt alles optimal zu gestalten.

Es gibt nichts negatives

Właściciel bardzo miły i pomocny. Na powitanie otrzymaliśmy napój w postaci świeżego kokosa oraz zostaliśmy zabrani na wycieczkę nad jezioro. Bardzo miły gest ze strony właściciela. Pokoje duże, czyste, przy pokojach na tarasie miejsce do siedzenia. Bardzo dobre wi-fi. Korzystaliśmy również z organizacji Safari w Parku Narodowym Yala- bardzo dobrze zorganizowane, przewodnik rewelacyjny. Zobaczyliśmy lamparta bardzo blisko nas, słonie chodzące obok samochodu, małpy, krokodyle, antylopy, ptaki, mangusty itd. Polecam skorzystać z tej usługi. Przepyszne posiłki, obfite śniadania wszystko w dobrej cenie. Najlepsze miejsce w jakim byliśmy na Sri Lance.

Si vas a pasar por la zona para visitar el Parque de Yala, sin duda, este alojamiento es una opción más que recomendable para alojarte. La relación calidad precio es inmejorable. La habitación es muy amplia, limpia y bonita y cuenta con climatización, que se agradece bastante. El desayuno completo y muy rico y se sirve además en un bonito jardín. Si esto no fuera suficiente, el personal ofrece un gran servicio, ayudándote en todo lo que necesites. Aunque no tenía el safari con ellos, se levantaron de madrugada a esperar a que nos recogieran y nos ofrecieron un pequeño desayuno. Me dejé la cámara en el jeep del safari y se ofrecieron a llamar a la empresa para recuperarla y además fueron muy amables llevándonos a ver murciélagos y ciervos. Una estancia estupenda.

This was probably the best accommodation I ever stayed in. The staff and hotel manager are the sweetest and I really loved the free small Safari tour to the lake he gave us in the evening. They even picked us up at the bus station and welcomed us with a cold coconut. They put so much extra effort into giving you a great experience and I wish we could have stayed longer. The deer in the back garden was so cute as well. The room and whole hotel was also very clean.

We stayed in Nehasa Resort to start our Yala safari there but to be honest it was one of the best parts of the trip. The stuff is just so amazing, really friendly and they took care of us. They greeted us with a coconut and cold towels after picking is up from the bus stop. They were so so kind and took us to see bambis that live on the properly. We got to feed them, it was amazing. In the evening they took us on a sunset Safari to show us crocodiles, buffalos, many birds and the bat tree. Everything they did with kindness and making sure we were okay. They Safari organized by them was also amazing. The room was the cleanest we saw in all of our Sri Lanka trip, it was really comfortable. The WiFi was also the best we ever had. Whole resort is just breathtaking especially at night with all the colorful lights.I really reccomend staying there, this place is a true gem. After the stay they also drove us back to the bus stop and event putted us in our bus with all of our stuff. We are thankfull we could stay there.

We stayed here for 1 night which was enough time to do the half day safari, when we arrived we were greeted warmly with coconut water, and lots of information about the safari. We were also taken to feed the deers complimentary in their back garden and around the town to see crocodiles, buffalo, birds and the bats at dusk. Room was great with tea and coffee. Lovely people. They will also help you with your onward travel if need be. 10/10 stay.

Het hotel ligt wat verder van het centrum en restaurants, maar ook in het centrum is niet zoveel te beleven.

The owner was fantastic, he personally took us out for a mini safari to the nearby river/swamp which had beautiful views and although we didn’t manage to see any crocs that time we saw lots of beautiful wildlife. Our actual safari to the national park was fantastic also. The room was comfy and clean.

There was nothing that we didn’t like about this venue. Great place to stay if wanting to do a Yala safari. Well worth the stay!

El recibimiento por parte del gerente no nos pareció acogedor. Se agradece que ofrezcan ver los bambis y el pequeño safari pero nos pareció todo muy preparado y un trato frío hacia nosotros. Contratamos el safari con ellos y tanto el desayuno previo al safari como el del propio safari muy escaso y pobre.

Los dueños fueron majísimos desde que llegamos. Te ofrecen la opción de cenar y comer ahí mismo todo riquísimo! Te incluyen un pequeño mini safari para ver animales cercanos. Un 10’de servicio!

Warm welkom. Heerlijk verfrissend handdoekje en een verse kokosnoot. Het was erg warm dus zeer welkom. We waren wat vroeger dan de checkin, maar deden er alles aan om de kamer eerder klaar te hebben. Zelfs al zeiden we dat het niet nodig was. Op de avond van aankomst kregen we een gratis tour naar de 2 meren. Helaas geen krokodil gespot. Wel bij schemering de vele vleerhonden zien vliegen. De kamer zelf was zeer netjes. Wat harder/stevige bedden. Dat beviel ons heel goed. Bij de eigenaar ook een safari geboekt, een taxi naar Ella en lekker een keer avondeten. Hij wilde er alles aan doen om ons verblijf perfect te hebben. Ook het ontbijt was heerlijk.

Je zit iets afgelegen van restaurants, maar voor ons was de locatie top.

The staff were super friendly and helpful! Our room was spotless and really lovely, as was the whole house, its plants and peaciful surroundings—we loved it! You can even order lunch from a local restaurant at a good price. Lots of shops etc. nearby. We went on a full-day safari for $78 per person and on the way back in the late afternoon we get to be lucky and saw a leopard! So do book a full day safari …They also arranged a private ride to our next stop in Arugam.for 40USD with a experienced driver.Highly reccomend to stay overnight if you do whole day safari since there are elephans on the road at night and that could be sometimes dangerous. What an unforgettable experience!

No complains.One of best accomodations and service we had.

Upon our request, they agreed to change our room, which opened directly onto their patio office desk and dining room with new arrivals checking in & out outside our door. So it was noisy. We were grateful that we changed to a quieter room and thanked them. The Manager was very welcoming and chatty.

However, two members of staff were verbally arrogant and haughty when serving us. Unacceptable. They never apologized. We will sadly 😥 not keep a happy holiday memory of this hotel.

Der aufmerksame Gastgeber hat uns am späten Nachmittag umsonst zu einer Tour in die Umgebung mitgenommen um Vögel, Krokodile und Flughunde zu beobachten. Ein schönes Erlebnis! Perfekt organisierte Safari in den Jala-Nationalpark mit bemühtem und sehr kompetentem Guide. Unkomplizierte Taxi-Transfer-Vermittlung. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Alles in allem ein perfekter Aufenthalt!

Great hotel, the staff were super friendly and wanted to make sure we had a great time, drove us to the bus station and helped us with the buses, meant we saved 2 hours of the journey. Interesting drive around the river in the evening. Nice breakfast and evening meal

The hospitality at Nehansa was amazing. The staff pick you up and drop you off at the bus station, and ensure you get on the proper bus when leaving town. I booked the Yala half day safari through Nehansa, and it went smoothly. They even provided binoculars for the tour, which was something other safari participants didn’t have. The room was perfect, and the food was delicious.

Aardig personeel dat goed voor je zorgt. Bieden goede faciliteiten aan en zelfs een gratis Lake tour. Via hen ook de safari gedaan die enorm gelukt was en goed verzorgd. Aanrader!

Appena arrivati, lo staff ci ha accolto con una deliziosa noce di cocco da cui bere acqua buonissima. Camera pulita e dotata di asciugamani e asciugacapelli con acqua calda. Personale gentile e disponibile. Noi avevamo prenotato un Safari di mezza giornata con loro e ci hanno permesso di lasciare i bagagli e farci una doccia al rientro. Direi che non ci è mancato proprio nulla! Molto disponibili anche nei vari trasporti da una struttura all'altra con una perfetta organizzazione. La struttura offre anche la possibilità di fare cena e pranzo in loco.

Rispetto a quello che mi aspettavo, la struttura è molto lontana dal parco (circa mezz'ora), il che non aiuta date le tante jeep e la coda che si forma all'entrata prima dell'apertura.

Struttura bellissima e tranquilla, camere pulitissime, personale sempre disponibile. Abbiamo chiesto di poter fare il safari nel pomeriggio per ragioni organizzative e sono prontamente venuti incontro alle nostre esigenze. Colazione e pasti ottimi! Bravi ragazzi e grazie per la vostra accoglienza!

The staff was super friendly and we could even do a little animal watching tour on the arrival evening (5pm). They organised our safari and a driver to Arugambay, which was super easy.

- prijs was geweldig - we kregen een gratis tour met de auto bij het vlakbij gelegen meer waar we vogels en krokodillen en vleermuizen gingen spotten! - goede waterdruk en warm water - ruime kamers - enorm aardig personeel - we hebben de wilde herten gevoerd die iedere dag bij hun langskomen om wat te eten. - goede airco - safari konden we via hen regelen voor een prima prijs.

All included in the price! We also did the Yala half day sunrise safari organised by them - very comprehensive with breakfast picnic included

Todo muy bien… te hacen un tour por la tarde noche para ver animales en un lago sin coste alguno y puedes alimentar a unos ciervos que andan por la zona. El personal muy amable y se come de maravilla. Nosotros cogimos con ellos el safari y fue todo espectacular. Lugar muy recomendable.

This was our last stop on our Sri Lanka tour and we can safely say that it was the best. Not only our the staff very helpful and communicative, the room was spacious, clean and a very comfortable bed and the gardens are so beautiful. We were welcomed with a fresh king coconut, which was a nice touch and very appreciated after a full day. They showed us the feeding of the wild deer at the back of the property and took us on a free tour of the nearby lakes on the evening of our arrival to see birds, crocodiles, buffalo and bats. They arranged a full day safari for us which was fantastic, and also arranged our transport for the day of our departure back to Negombo. All the while they were ensuring that we happy with everything, even checking that we had arrived safely at our next location. We had dinner, which despite arriving late, they had no problems with, they even provided tea and cake at 4am when we left for the safari tour, which was a nice surprise and the breakfast on the day of the checkout was varied, copious and kept us going for the entire day.

The only thing was due to the location and our arrival and departure we didn't get the chance to go to Tissamaharama, but that has little to do with the hotel itself.
