Locust Retreat Immaculate 2bedroom cottage

It was a great location right off the main road. You are greeted by warthog and can feed them and giraffes. Jose was there to meet us give us information. The park is only 30 minutes away. Enjoy. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

The cottage is situated close to the main road and ideal if you don't have a 4 x 4 vehicle. The cottage has everything you need and everything is very neat.

Everything about the place. It's very clean. comfortable beds. Mr Jose was super friendly. Animals came for a visit it was just perfect.

Ficamos hospedado por 6 dias. E foram os 6 dias mais felizes da viagem !!!! Antes mesmo de chegarmos, José sempre se comunicou conosco, dando dicas, orientando, tirando dúvidas. Ele foi super atencioso, receptivo, prestativo, alegre e muito querido. Nos sentimos em nossa casa, de tão acolhedor que foi nossa chegada. A casa impecável. A melhor casa que pesquisei na região, a mais limpa. Limpeza, conforto, localização, piscina, utensílios de cozinha, roupas de cama e banho cheirosos. Alice amou o José também! Até agora está falando do novo amigo dela hahah Ela nunca esquecerá desse momento, levando cenoura para os animais. Obrigada José! Voltaremos outras vezes!!!

Very warm inside although Aircon did help but was prepaid . Little bit small for your adults but manageable.

We spent 2 amazing days in the cottage. Jose is very-very friendly. The cottage is equipped with everything you need. It was like a home for us. It’s absolutely clean and very cozy. There is a braai zone and a big table outside so we had all our meals breathing fresh air. One of the most fascinating things was animals that came to the cottage. It’s not far away from the Crocodile Gate, near 20 km. I hope we return here one day in the future

It’s not a drawback and it’s written in the cottage details, just be aware that there are no shampoo and shower gel. Bring it with you.

Absolutely loved our stay at Locust Retreat. José, our host, made us feel very welcome and at home. The cottage was spotless and had everything you needed. Animals came visiting everyday which was very exciting for our grandson! Thank you José. Will definitely be making another booking.

The place is amazing! Very quiet, so if you're tired after safari you'll fall asleep right away. Many kitchen supplies (if you plan to cook) and a nice cafe with panoramic view 5 minutes away by car. The parking is spacious and convenient Jose was very hospital and gave a warm welcome. Moreover we've been lucky enough to see giraffes, warthogs and meerkats near the house

We had a fantastic stay. The accommodation is absolutely beautiful, clean, comfortable and affordable. Kitchen is well- equipped and the property well-maintained. Good quality linen and towels. The host was welcoming and pleasant. Convenient location, easy access to shops and restaurants.

Jose is friendly, accommodating and helpful at all times. He has a lovely mannerism. The house is nestled privately in the heart of the bush. Modern built with beautiful interior, decor and quality bedding. Two lovely bedrooms, bathroom with a shower, kitchen with all the needed amenities and shaded outdoor seating. The place gives one a 'home away from home' feel and friendly staff, should you meet them. One gets spoiled by the many wildlife sightings within the park: kudus, warthogs, duikers, 'Bambi' deer, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, velvet monkeys, bush babies, etc. The walking/4x4 trail next to the Kruger fence, alongside the Crocodile River, is any sunrise and sunset lover's dream! The property provides safe parking and a braai area to enjoy those bushfire evenings. A 10/10 recommendation. Thank you, Ana and Jose

Excellent, we'll equipped accommodation with convenient access to Crocodile Bridge Gate at the Kruger National Park. Two bedrooms with queen beds. Fully equipped kitchen with 4 ring gas stove, electric oven, microwave and dishwasher

My booking was last minute, rooms were not ready but the owner went out of his way to make up for the short wait. Jose' is an awesome host. The tranquility was awesome.

We have found all what we needed and the Mr. Jose, was very friendly and welcomed my kids very well even the splash pool was cold he provided a noodle for them.

The host, Jose, was such a delight and so helpful🙌🏼 - great location, absolutely beautiful little place. It was peaceful and quiet. I enjoyed my morning coffee sitting outside watching the wildlife pass by - wish I could wake up like that every day! The apartment is stunningly decorated - can see a lot of effort and love went into it. Everything is neat and very clean. Definitely one of the best places to stay. Will definitely book here again.

The location, the scenery was beautiful

The place need to be properly fermigated, I noticed there we many cocroches under the dishwashing machine.

The location was great and the facility was clean and nicely built though it was very small.

We booked and paid for the entire 2 bedroom unit and only 1 bedroom was made available to us. Second bedroom was locked. The living space is too small. Electricity for the aircon was limited and the host said we have to purchase our own power which we did not and the airconditioner switched off and we had to spend the night without airconditioner.

Exceeded Expectations! The accommodations perfectly matched the pictures, and surprisingly, it was even better in person! The addition of a dishwasher was a delightful surprise, making our stay even more convenient. One helpful tip: be prepared to load electricity for the aircon, as it can get quite hot. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed and would highly recommend this place. The host has thoughtfully equipped the space with everything needed for a comfortable stay.

The location was perfect, not far from the Crocodile Bridge gate, and the presence of the pool and electricity backup made things very comfortable. The accomodation was beautifully appointed and very modern inside. The kitchen was fully kitted out and even had a little dishwasher. Jose was very friendly and accomodating. Lovely spot!

The host is super friendly and accommodating. The airconditioning is a must, the availability of backup power is great. The property is equipped with mesh to keep mozzies out. The pool is delightful. Despite being close to the main road, we had plenty of animals popping by to say hi.

The spot would be a bit tight for four adults, but it was perfect for two adults and two kids.

The warm welcome by the owner set the tone. The friendly and super efficient staff kept us feeling welcome. The place is fully equipped and super clean. The beds are comfortable and ensure a good night's rest. The abundant wildlife (comprising wildebeest, giraffe, kudu, bushbuck, duiker, zerbra, bush baby, warthogs and many birds to mention a few) kept us entertained and came as close as three meters from where we sat. Even your car is kept safe under a carport.
