Reviewed Mar 15, 2026Oh it was gorgeous! The room is quaint and functional with the most picturesque view of brilliant-green farm at your feet. Very kind and attentive host - upgraded our stay, frequently checked-in, cautioned us of wet roads. 10/10 experience across the board.
Not the properties fault - driving on dirt roads is generally uncomfortable not enough to have any valuable impact on the overall experience.

In the rainy season the 5km gravel road might be a problem for some small vehicles.

What i Didn't like, was that we wanted to stay in chissiesmeer, Dew drop is listed on booking.com under Chrissiesmeer, its nowhere near!!! It's definitely ermelo!!!!

The gravel road was too long and the property is really in the middle of nowhere, like it was quite scary. Looks like they renovated an old school building but only inside. They were insects in the room even on the bed. The floor was not clean and under the bed was full of dirt.

Careful of getting stuck in the mud on the dirt road. One of our friends did but the farm staff was very accommodating to help get them out

The dirt road takes a while to travel and after the lovely thunderstorms, it took even longer. Nothing else.

sound proofing between rooms could be better there isn’t much to do there, but it’s great for a stopover
