Super herzlicher Empfang. Sylvia ist die Gastfreundschaft in Person und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns richtig zuhause gefühlt. Frühstück lässt auch keine Wünsche offen! Danke nochmals fürs extra Ausdrucken unserer Formel 1 Tickets 🥰

Alles war perfekt!

Proprietor was very nice, helpful and she even ironed my clothing for the wedding I was attending. Her place was close to everything and she provided a nice breakfast.

Sylvia ist eine sehr freundliche, charmante und aufmerksame Gastgeberin. Die Lage ist perfekt, weil sehr nahe am Zentrum und doch sehr ruhig gelegen. Das Zimmer hat große Fenster und ist etwa nordseitig ausgerichtet - im Sommer super, weil nur kurz in der Früh die Sonne direkt herein scheint (es gibt aber Verdunklungsmöglichkeiten). Das Frühstück konnten wir herinnen oder im hauseigenen Garten einnehmen, es war sehr umfangreich und hat alle unsere Erwartungen erfüllt. Das Badezimmer hat eine Dusche, in der man wirklich unbeschwert duschen kann, weil die Tür perfekt schließt.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Wasserbett, das ist zumindest etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, uns sind 'normale' Matratzen lieber, aber das ist sicher Geschmackssache.

A atendente é excelente pessoa. Muito simpática e prestativa.

A cama tem um colchão de água. Não é muito desconfortável mas não é muito bom. As cortinas do quarto são transparentes e não tiram a claridade. Tivemos dificuldade em pagar a taxa de turismo porque não levamos cash e a hospedagem não aceitava pagamento em cartão.

運河沿いで窓からの眺めも良かったです。 閑静なのですが、ハーレム中心部にも近く便利でした。 駅まで歩いていくのに運河沿いを歩いた後、公園の中を抜けて行くのが快適で、ライデン、デン・ハーグ、アルクマールへの鉄道移動も楽でした。 次の宿泊地アムステルダムに向かうのにもバスでアムステルダム・ザウド駅に移動でき、大混雑のアムステルダム中央駅を回避できたのも良かったです。

Wir waren für 2 Übernachtungen in Haarlem und waren bei Sylvia untergebracht. Es war ein tolles Wochenende und bei Sylvia haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles war mit sehr viel Leidenschaft und Herzblut! Sylvia ist sehr lieb und zuvorkommend. Ein leckeres Frühstück gab es auch, welches wir aufgrund des schönen Wetter im Garten genießen konnten. Alles in allem können wir die Unterkunft nur empfehlen 😃 Mit dem Bus kann man in kurzer Zeit zum Strand nach Zandvoort fahren.

Schönes, helles Zimmer in ruhiger Lage an einer Gracht. Nette Vermieterin. Gutes Frühstück.

Wonderful location on a quiet street but still walking distance to Grote Market and anywhere else. Train station to Amsterdam in under 15 minutes. Best part was our wonderful host. So friendly and helpful with lots of tips for for using the buses, where to go for something a little different. She prepared a huge fresh breakfast for us at our preferred time every morning. Great to have a local person so willing to share her home. Hospitaily, good coffee and good conversation.

Paikan omistaja on erittäin ystävällinen ja avulias. Aamupala oli hyvä ja riittävä (en kaipaa aamupalalla munia tai pekonia). Paikka on erittäin hyvällä sijainnilla Haarlemissa, lentokentältä / lentokentälle kulkevan bussin pysäkki on 10 min. kävelymatkan päässä. Haarlemin keskustaan kävelee vajaat 10 min., rautatieasemalle kävelee vartin, bussilla pääsee nopeamminkin.

Huoneessa olevassa kylpyhuoneessa ei ole ovea, tämä saattaa olla toisille ongelma.

Die persönliche Betreuung von der Sylvia ist außergewöhnlich, wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Sylvia gibt Dir das Gefühl wirklich willkommen zu sein. Ihr Bemühen ihre Gäste eine schöne Zeit zu besorgen sticht heraus!

The host was amazing. So helpful with navigation around Amsterdam and the area. The room was clean and comfortable. The area was super quiet and close walking distance to city center in Haarlem. Breakfast was delicious, too. When in the area, we would stay there again for sure!

No tv in room. Just because we are use to background noise. Room had a watered which was comfortable but unexpected.

L'hôtesse Sylvia très sympathique et ses conseils pour visiter la ville (n'oubliez pas d'aller voir le musée Frans Hals!), le délicieux petit-déjeuner, l'emplacement exceptionnel avec la vue sur le canal, au calme mais à deux pas du centre ville très animé. La possibilité de stationner à côté du gîte. Nous reviendrons sans doute.

Nous avons moyennement apprécié le matelas à eau.

From the moment we stepped into the property we felt instantly welcome. It’s what a proper B&B should be. The welcome was warm and sincere and communication with the owner was perfect way before we arrived. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and the big windows let in a lot of light that is blocked out at night by the blinds. I’d not change anything. The breakfast was plentiful, definitely enough to fuel us on our half marathon.

That we didn’t come across this B&B last time we stayed in Haarlem. Would definitely have booked instead of the soulless hotel we ended up in.

Die Unterkunft ist toll gelegen und man ist in wenigen Schritten in der Altstadt. Das Zimmer ist hell und freundlich, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Gastgeberin Sylvia ist super nett und hat tolle Tipps parat (auch zum kostenlosen Parken). Das Frühstück ist Champions League: verschiedene Käse, Aufschnitt, Obst, Gemüse, Marmeladen, Müsli, Joghurt, leckere Brötchen uvm.

Nichts zu beanstanden.

We loved the spacious and light-filled room on the upper floor. Sylvia is a most welcoming and engaging host. Beautiful breakfasts.

Great host , location and home

Sylvia was fantastic! So welcoming and friendly. Each morning of our stay she prepared a beautiful breakfast in her garden. We even came back one evening and she had left us some Aloe Vera after seeing how badly sun burnt my partner was. She had the room ready early for us and allowed us to stay later on the day we were leaving allowing us to walk around beautiful Haarlem without our luggage in tow. The location is great. Bus ride to the beach which is absolutely beautiful. And very close to a beautiful calmer than Amsterdam town. Room was spacious and had everything we needed. A. A waterbed may not be our choice of bed but was surprised to find it was comfy. Note that the steps are quite steep but wouldn't stop me returning :) overall just a brilliant host and would definitely recommend.

Sylvia was the perfect host and, in particular, helped us to navigate the pitfalls of a series of intermittent train strikes in the Netherlands. I miss her excellent breakfasts!!

Excellent location, a few minutes walk from the centre of Haarlem, yet away from the hustle and bustle. Near bus routes to major locations like Schipol airport, and not far from the railway station. The host was very welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast was really nice with fresh bread and a selection of dutch cheeses, ham etc all sourced from local producers. Haarlem is a great location for a weekend break, lots to see and do and easy to walk around.

The window blinds in the room didn't keep the room dark enough for us.

Delightful.host and lovely breakfasts and we were made to feel very much at home. Sylvia has a lovely place. It was great being able to leave our suitcases after we checked out. Easy walking distance to train and town. Big bedroom with a lovely view of canal. We weren't so keen on the steepness of the stairs but overall a great stay.

Wasn't so keen on waterbed, it felt like we were rolling out, maybe a bit too much water, but we slept well. Provision of toiletries would be good.

Great property in an outstanding location- quiet, yet close to all tourist attractions, transport, shops & cafes. Host very friendly & helpful. Breakfast outstanding

It was in a beautiful location along the canal. Sylvia and family were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing and a great way to start off each day. Fresh fruit, bread, meat and cheese cannot be beat!

The owner is friendly and welcomed me like a family. A room is neat and clean. Breakfast included fresh vegetables, fruits, several breads and tasty coffee, which are like a luxury hotel. I had relaxed holidays.

All our recommendations for Sylvia. She is an excellent host—communicative, cheerful, and always smiling. Always ready to help. The neighborhood is extremely quiet and safe, close to the train station and the bus terminal. The accommodation is clean and tidy, with a beautiful view of the canal. Breakfast is outstanding: warm fresh pastries, a wide selection of vegetables, fruits, cheeses, cold cuts, spreads, and jams. And Sylvia makes the best latte! We had a wonderful time. Sylvia was the most gracious hostess. European breakfast each morning was amazing! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quieter stay, yet close to the Amsterdam city center.

The house is very clean and attractive—and the location is perfect. It’s near the city center but in a quiet area! I love that it’s right on a canal! Also, Sylvia is fantastic—great communication and very helpful! And she provides a wonderful breakfast!

Breakfast was the best I've ever had at a hotel or a B&B. Local cheeses, cold meats and spreads. The location was perfect down a quiet canal but easy walking distance to the centre of town and a beautiful park.

Excellent location with a cute canal in a quiet area close to a large green park, yet less than a 10 minute stroll to the centre of Haarlem. A large room with modern bathroom and good shower. The host was very friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. The breakfast was superb and the coffee very good.

I loved my stay as it’s in a really nice and very safe neighborhood. Sylvia, the host is terrific! She made sure I was super comfortable and very helpful as well as engaging personality.

Location to Haarlem - a short walk to the town square. The host very hospitable and obliging. An Australian connection !! A modern spacious room, comfortable bed and great ensuite. Good breakfast complimented with great coffee. Enjoyed the Christmas Spirit and being treated to German Christmas cake and cookies. 🎅
