Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Location was great, although we found it difficult to find initially. Beds and towels were clean and comfortable.
It needed a good spring clean. Lots of things were dirty unfortunately, lots of cobwebs and needed a refresh. The outside was in need of tidying up too. Lots of weeds. But overall it was fine.

Reviewed Jul 24, 2026Logement idéalement situé entre Sleave leagh et le Connemara. À 2mn en voiture (littéralement!) de l'abbaye de Ballintubber. Aisling s'est rendue disponible quand nous avions besoin. Le logement est spacieux et agréable, les lits sont très confortables, l'eau est très chaude et avec de la pression!! Wifi efficace (voyage avec adolescents 😆). Machine à laver et sèche-linge tambour super pratiques pour un long voyage. Nous reviendrons !!

Reviewed Apr 1, 2026Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Der Check-in und Check-out hat reibungslos funktioniert. Es war ausreichend Platz und man hat sich wohl gefühlt.
Das Badezimmerfenster ist nicht blickdicht und kann nicht mit einem Vorgang oder ähnlichem verdeckt werden.

Reviewed Jul 21, 2025The location was great, lovely stone walls and green fields all around, very peaceful. It's not far from a main road and was a good base for us to explore all parts of Mayo and Connemara too. Castlebar was only about 10 or 15 minutes away by car - we used the Centra there to top up on our supplies. The cottage was ideal for us - two good bedrooms, there was a tumble drier as well as a washing machine and best of all a big tv screen for us to chill out in front of in the evenings! Our hosts were lovely people and it was reassuring to have them beside the cottage in case we had any difficulties.
I did find the mattress on my bed to be a little bit soft - but everyone has got different preferences about that. Otherwise everything was great.

Reviewed Sep 19, 2024Location was great, we were over visiting family so we knew the area well. Very close to both Castlebar and Ball enrobe. Lots of shops and a petrol station with a grocery store only five minutes away.
Our whole stay was lovely. the house was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Patrick was a great host and very helpful.

Reviewed Oct 2, 2023We had 2 wonderful nights at Teach Beag. The house was clean, beds were comfortable, and hosts were more than hospitable. It’s a quiet area and a short walk up the road will give you the best access to the cows!
