Morningside Residence - spacious 2 BD, Garden views, Private Gym

Staff were very friendly and we felt welcome. Place was neat and clean

Spacious, ground floor, easily accessible and secure. Garden view and space to get some fresh air.

The location.

Difficult to get in because the bell doesn’t work. Strange layout. The one bathroom is a kitchen scullery with a shower.

Le logement est très spacieux avec 2 chambres + une salle de sport privé 😜 Mention spéciale pour Lizzie qui est très patiente et aux petits soins pour nous. On a reçu un super accueil et même pour notre départ tardif elle a été très arrangeante ❤️

Loved the big space,private gym , the garden view , the stuff ,ma treated us well . Lol the cats n the dog , just everything .bring your gym wear , we should have booked more days I would have a summer body by Sept 😂 .

A very good and quiet place

The location was very good for our business meeting purposes. It was central to the business district but far away to experience tranquility of the peaceful garden and functionality of the gym. The equipment is very well maintained and clean. It was a bonus!

I loved how spacious it was and we had no issues with wifi or hot water

The kitchen, I didn’t like how the kitchen sink was in the same room as the extra shower

The property is spacious - just as the pictures and is suitable for a family.

The hot shower water was a bit of an issue

The location was great. The accommodation is very spacious and comfortable.

The pillows and duvet inners had a horrible head smell. pillows and duvet inners must be periodically washed. besides this everything else was excellent.

Lizzy the hostess was remarkable.

The rooms were spacious. The area is so quiet. Mama Liz was so kind.

I wish there was a stove , even a small one. I think we will be back next year this time again

Echamos de menos tener calefacción en el salón, donde está la cama grande. Tampoco tiene cocina

The hosts are very friendly. The property is clean and in a convenient location. The private gym is a bonus.

The big room is extremely cold. The door handle of one bathroom wasn't working. We had no water the night before we left, and on the day we departed, apparently, due to a water pipe breakdown.But there is not a backup plan like a water tank with a pump for the guests to bathe or shower.

We liked the large gym and the roomy facilities. Everything was immaculately clean and I like that hot and cold was well marked on all taps. Very friendly host.

The coffee machine that other guests talked about is unfortunately no longer there, there was coffee sachets. I would suggest providing a french press and coffee grinds as alternative to a machine.

The property is close to everything, the staff are super helpful and Lidy is the best, super adorable.

The tv did not work and was connected to the wifi but none of the apps like netflix is loading,, the gas braai outside the burners are damaged doesnt heat up evenly and in the guest toilet the extractor fan does not work

I liked everything. Bed was comfy, space was pleasant. Plenty of room etc.

The water in the showers were inconsistent, very difficult to control as it was either very hot or icy cold. Could not find the in-between in both showers. Also could not shower at the same time then one shower would lose hot water completely.

The concept, the gym and the garden.

In the roof there’s a window in the morning the light of the day doesn’t allow you to sleep properly. I like to sleep in the dark.

Adequate space for family and gym was a plus for my son. Secure place close to shopping and eating venues.

The fact that i had to pay extra at the venue for my son after i failed to indicate his presence on the booking but the booking fee was the same whether i booked for 2x adults of 4x adults on booking.com. It was our second stay at the venue and the host couldn't wave a R200 fee.

It’s exactly what I saw on the advertising pictures. It’s clean and well kept. Staff was also welcoming.

The Shower mixture needs attention as cold water takes over every time you try to regulate hot water. The apartment is really cold, I don’t want to imagine how it is in winter. The aircon on the other bedroom won’t blow hot air even when put on maximum temp. The place could use with a 2 burner stove for a quick breakfast as the kitchenette is well equipped with pans, pots & all utensils.

Lovely place to stay. Our hostess, Gay, was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay there when we next travel to Jhb. Thank you Gay!

There are 2 rooms, which means you have so much space. The main bedroom with the lounge and TV is huge. The gym is incredible and I was in there every day. I have stayed at this spot twice and the location is great, right in the middle of everything and the shopping center is 800m away. It's a safe neighborhood that is also really quiet and peaceful.

There are aircons, need to find the remote. The cooker or stove is outside but this isn't something wrong just letting you know you must ask.

We had break fast Sandton Mall which is some few kilometres from the premises

The leaking roof in the room next to the gym that needs to be fixed, failure to do so will result into dumpness and moulds forming

Great coffee machine in the kitchen with lots of pods supplied. Use of gym equipment is also a bonus and the main reason I chose this property.

The kitchen is not brilliantly well stocked - no cheese grater for instance - and the main room does not have access to a window that can open.

The spaciousness is amazing & the the whole concept of having a private gym is fantastic. It is exactly what you need when travelling for business. While quite central, getting Ubers was quick so no issue with travelling anywhere. Loved the huskies running around the garden

Firmer mattress - but then again I am very picky when it comes to that. One of my favourite measures of a place is if there are tissues - nope - no tissues.

There were no toiletries, and the towels were very old.

Large bedroom- a yoga studio converted to bedroom / living room. Lots of sun light. Due to lack of some facilities, I only stayed for one night.

It was pretty cold and I couldn’t get gas heater work. There is no washing machine which we intended to use. No hair dryer in the bathroom which irked my wife a lot.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this establishment. The host was very prompt to address my queries. The establishment was very clean and comfortable.

Host, venue and spacious. We will be back. I could not fault a thing. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for space, peace and a professional calm stay.

Both the hosts and staff were fantastic! It was very easy to get in touch with the hosts, and the stay was great! We only stayed for a night but this is a good place in a good location for anyone doing a slightly longer trip in Johannesburg too!

Everything about the place, not forgetting Lizzy the housekeeper. My kids wanted us to extend out stay but unfortunately the place was already booked

Loved the location as our main destinations were Fourways, Sandton and Midrand. The place was exactly as described... actually bigger and nicer than expected, the teens loved the gym, the kitchenette was sufficient. Coffee pods was a nice to have! Lizzy, who met us with the keys, was super friendly and showed us the ropes in record time. The gas heater was a great add on, as we went on a cold'ish weekend. The garden at the back was an oasis. Would definitely stay here again if going to Joburg.

The size of the apartment.

The Studio offers everything required for a very comfortable stay. Cleanliness 10/10, comfort 10/10 - Although it was a quick overnight stop, the comfort level was way up there.

It was neat and spacious. I loved how easy it was to contact them. It had everything we needed,incl the braai facility. It’s. 10/10

From the entrance, I like the fact that the apartment is solely yours. Then, getting in, the interior decoration is magnificent, especially the main bedroom. The gym idea is awesome. Then, going down to the back of the house, you will think you have seen it all, but it keeps unfolding surprises, from the beautiful garden to kids playground to pool etc. I give it a 10/10 minus nothing. The house manager was exceptionally, and she really outdid herself. In summary, the apartment is magnificent and spotless.

There was no gas stove or electric stove, so you can't make your own meals, but that is if you plan on cooking.

Superb location, superb house, superb host, Frank is welcoming and very helpful. The property is beautiful and stylish with a great private Gym, we enjoyed every single moment we spent here.
