Reviewed Jun 2, 2026Location was excellent! Off the main road and yet a short walk to the Central Park. The property is newly done and in great condition. Everything was clean and tidy and the helper on the property was cheerful.
Room was cold and the gas heater ran out of gas after a few minutes. The fridge and microwave was off but we sorted that out. All in all, a great stay and we shall be back.

Nothing. The accomodation was clean, well kept and we got lovely goodies for the race and for wamrth. We did have a technical challenge with the gas geyser but Carol was so lovely, she helped us figure it out.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026We loved relaxing on the little stoep! The room is a bit on the small side, but the flow out to the stoep more than made up for it. The beautiful views and peaceful garden were such a treat, and even with other guests around, it still felt wonderfully private and quiet.
The only thing I’d suggest adding is an extra mirror next to the cabinet in the room — it would just make it easier for two ladies to get ready at the same time, especially when there’s an early appointment!

Every little detail was taken care of, little chocolate and drink on the bedside table, well stocked coffee station, soaps in the shower and wash basin and knowing we were two staying, they had two bottles of water in the fridge on arrival. The check in process was seamless with the hosts updating you perfectly in the days leading up to the visit. Hands down the best guest house I've ever stayed at. I can not recommend this place enough, absolutely fantastic little spot! Thank you for your kind hospitality Carol and Graeme.

Reviewed Aug 10, 2025Located very close to the centre of Clarens. The room is very well laid out and decor is really nice. View of the mountain is great. Parking is right next to the room with the communal braais nearby too.
Unfortunately for us the bed was not very comfy. I think its down to personal preference of wanting a harder bed rather than the bed being completely bad. We also found the pillows really hard, which once again is more personal preference.

On Friday, we struggled with hot water even after running the hot tap for 20 minutes without winning. However, the issue was resolved on Saturday, thanks.
