The location of the camp was beautiful and the staff was excellent!
Hommikusöök lihtne kuid toitev ,tore asukoht kõrbe ääres ca 4 km asulast.Vajalik 4wd auto.Õhtusöök kohapeal omaani moodi lihtne kuid toitev. Personal lahke ja abivalmis.
Ebameeldivat midagi ehk polnudki.
Duże i wygodne łóżko.
Letti troppo stretti e materassi troppo rigidi.
Abend dasgleiche Essen.
Very nice place. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Good Location and staff. Food was good
No other guests, so no real activities. Dune bashing expensive
Freundliches Personal, sehr bemüht. Sehr gute Verpflegung.
A very well-constructed camp, with the tents, especially, looking very neat. I especially liked the carpeted 'courtyard' outside the back door. Although I didn't use it, it could be a lovely place to rest/sleep outdoors, either during the day or the night. There are numerous activities on offer, and you will be transported to the start of these if they are located outside the camp. The staff are friendly, and the communication with the camp before arrival is good. The choice of foods is limited, but what is on offer is well-prepared and tasty. Vegans and vegetarians will have little or no choice.
Both my wife and I found the bed uncomfortable - not necessarily a universal issue. The areas within and immediately around the camp are kept free of litter: thanks to the camp staff. Unfortunately, the greater Al Wasil and Wahiba Sands area has become heavily trashed, especially with plastic waste. The areas around the car parks just outside the Sands are disgusting. Indeed, there seems to be so much trash that the garbage collectors are not able to cope with the problem (and a lot of trash is blowing out of the tips or carelessly dropped when the tips are emptied). The local communities are going to have to act on this if they don't want to lose business. There needs to be much greater awareness of this problem. There needs to be a creative initiative by the walis and businessmen of the area to bring the problem to the attention of locals and visitors alike.
The property has a large outdoor, but covered communal space. Tea, coffee, dates and a few games are continually available there. I like that there is a lovely place to hang out, besides our room. It also has electrical outlets. After dinner they also set up a fire nearby in case you want to sit by the fire. It was nice that there were a variety of activity options available. We chose camel rides (15 minutes was long enough for us) and sand bikes (quads). The quads were super fun and I wish we had booked them for longer. We only did 30 minutes and at that point you are just getting into it! They also have small ones for kids. Our 11 year old didn’t want to stop! Lunch with a Bedouin family was definitely worth it. And the kids also enjoyed the bow shooting activity. Most people while we were there chose to stay just one night. We are happy that we chose to stay for two nights. We played games and could just slow down and enjoy our activities in a relaxed manor. Also, really fun to see the stars at night in the desert.
It felt ‘scary’ (unfamiliar) to deflate the tires before driving out to the camp. But it all worked out really well. The guy they recommend to go to for deflating (and afterward reinflating) the tires was super kind and efficient and it only costs 1 OMR each time.
Aptarnavimas puikus. Nuostabiai suorganizuotas Naujų metų sutikimas. Greitas pervežimas. Kelionių po dykumą paslaugos. Patikimi ir paslaugūs vairuotojai ir visas personalas. Skanus maistas. Laužas ir muzikantai buvo nuostabi vakaro atrakciją. Lipimui į kopą įrengta virvė.
Žiemą labai šaltos naktys, todėl vakarojimui ir miegui reikia tinkamai pasirūpinti apranga. Miegoti buvo šalta, nors buvome prisirengę.

Nice location with a personal touch. Staff is very polite. Nice activities you can book. Fast communication over whatsapp.
Tents and food are very basic. It is not bad but overall we felt it was overpriced given for what is provided.
The welcome from the local manager was very cold, without the usual sense of hospitality found among Omanis. The night was not peaceful, with quad bike noise from other camps until 11 p.m.
Quite comfortable for a hotel in the middle of the desert, with a magnificent sunset and a campfire that brought the whole camp together to chat. A special mention to the buffet staff who were fantastic, incredibly welcoming, and amazingly kind. I highly recommend speaking with them for an even more enjoyable stay. If you're ever in the area, a huge thank you again to Moneer and Mashrlo from the Couscous Family 😉
Froid du désert la nuit ;)
It was one of the best places we have erer visited! Guys were super kind and helpfull. They prepared us delicious dinner and breakfast.
Tolle Lage, super Personal. Muss man einmal erlebt haben
Bett leider extrem hart. Man liegt wie am Holzboden
Very nice place to stay in the dessert. I guess there are some places further deep in there but this worked well for us. Very pleasant check-in experience, good food (dinner / breakfast). Nice place to see stars, sundown, sunrise.
RAS
Eigenlijk niets
Miła obsługa, wschód słońca
Słabe śniadania, stan łazienki
De service was prima.

La posizione all'inizio dei Washiba Sands. Ottimo il Safari Trip organizzato.
Essendo fuori stagione mancavano alcuni servizi o erano ridotti.
Personale molto disponibile, struttura accogliente
- night in desert - sleeping in quite authentic tents - desert itself
- had to pay for the 5 minutes transfer to the camp - additional charge for paying by credit card - was not as clean as it should be! (bathroom ( - we were only 4 people in the camp - there was no fire - the food was OK but there was only a few people, the variety was small - you need to buy additional activities, if you want to enjoy your stay
We visited the camp in low season, so the experience might be very different from those visiting during high season. The tent was very hot in the evening. I chose to sleep outside which was really nice. Besides my daughter and myself, there were only two more people that night. We shared the cost of pick up and desert safari and sunset tour. The dinner and breakfast were included in the price, which was one of the reasons why we chose that camp. The food was very good.
There was no information about the price for picking us up at the meeting place. It should be mentioned on the booking site. The activities were quite pricey. We could share the costs, otherwise we wouldn´t have booked any of them.
There is no point to dislike
Spending a night in the desert was amazing. We left our car at a designated parking area and were picked up by the owner (5 OMR). We were the only guests that day. The food was good, and the staff was very nice and helpful. The huts were nicely decorated but had no air conditioning, so at times, it got very hot. We went sand drifting, which was incredible, and ended the day with a campfire and stargazing.
Wonderful desert camp, you can explore the desert area by yourself or with numerous activities to all ages. Great dinner and good breakfast, Stylish decoration in rooms
Breakfast could be slightly better
Normal
The room was comfortable, staff kind, services like camel rides available, close to other facilities like quad bikes, food was simple but generous and tasty
Great place to stay in a desert. Extremely nice staff, helping with everything, answering all the questions. Quick contact via WhatsApp. Great attractions - dune bashing, camel riding, quads driving. Nice dinner - fries, meat, rice, vegetables, humus etc
All was great
Authentic Desert Experience: Traditional Bedouin-style accommodations. Opportunities to explore the beauty of the desert, including dunes and sunsets. Friendly and attentive staff. A welcoming atmosphere that makes guests feel at home. Food: Delicious traditional cuisine. Peaceful Location: Isolated from urban noise, offering tranquility. Ideal for relaxation and connecting with nature.

Very friendly people! Very charming place.
The hospitality of the staff at the camp was wonderful and warm. The camp is quiet and perfectly suited to the surrounding natural environment. The breakfast and dinner were simple and reasonable, and the accommodation tents were comfortable. I highly recommend this place for couples and families. Booking a nighttime trip from the camp to the stargaze in the heart of the desert was an exceptional experience for us.
The external trips prices list is a bit expensive
Our first desert experience. We happened to be the only guests there at the time.the staff were very attentive and accommodating.
Unfortunately, there was no fire lit for us at the time. It didn't put us off the whole experience.
New year celebration
Everything was perfect, good food, nice room and the staff was super kind.
Optimal sized camp. Not to many people. Nice cosy vibe. Great hosts! True Omani experience of desert.
Food could be improved. I understand they cannot give variety on so small number of guests but dinner should be better. Chicken was dry as sand. Lamb sqewers were tiny.
Qais is very friendly and amazing host, funny activities on 4WD car in the desert with stunning views. Nightly fireside talks are the best part. I would definitely come back .
The staff make my stay 100% better they can pick you up from a pick up location if you don't have 4x4 the economy room was brilliant good size and the night time fire was great talking to the locals about Oman the buffet dinner and breakfast all you can eat and you have hot water if you like to shower we hot water.
I wish it was a little more into the desert but still you can walk to get closer.
The staff were polite to us
There was no light in the bathroom. Inside the room was super hot, as there is no AC. Food was tasteless unfortunately and it doesn’t worth the money we’ve paid
Our stay at the desert camp was truly unforgettable! The camp was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hospitality was outstanding, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The food was also great, both dinner and breakfast offered great variety and delicious flavors, perfect after a day of adventure. Stargazing at night was magical, with the clear desert sky filled with countless stars—a truly mesmerizing experience. During the day, the thrill of dune bashing was an absolute adrenaline rush, adding excitement to the tranquility of the desert. Highly recommend this camp for anyone looking for a perfect mix of adventure, comfort, and stunning natural beauty!

They were very guest friendly, they gave us amazing tips and the desert activities available at the camp were comparatively more affordable. The camp tents were comfortable and it gives somewhat of an authentic desert experience. Thus, all together we had a great stay and the perfect desert experience. Kais was also very approachable and was trying to make our stay in the desert unforgettable. He planned with us our further trip and connected us with the right people.
The staff was wonderfull, make us feel at Home. Food was very good, dinner and breakfast! All very good. Tent was excelent with Great AC
The location could be a little more into the desert, but is more than enough to get the experience.
Everything was good! Great staff!
Nothing.
Ome of the best stay in Oman, The simple tent without airconditioning was nice and not too hot (at least at night) even in mid may. The staff was extremely friendly and kind and a pleasure to talk to. Location is magic the sunset on the top of the dune close by is spectacular and the stars at night are so many … Really good dinner and breakfast I would be back anytime!
Delitious food. Quick shuffle. Very helpful staff
The fireplace with all people around it to talk about life and values.
Unique place, with a friendly and caring personnel.
very friendly and good service
nono
The services are limited due to is a camp in the dessert. Anyhow no complains about the ammount of food, water, tea, etc. Excellent experience if you want to be in the dessert, watch and touch camels, feed them, etc. The guide Qusay really loves his job and always try tourists to have an excellent time. Full recommended the 4 hours dessert tour were you can do a lot of activities all in one.
Everything was OK.
Good location and great and friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay.
We spent a night in there, and it was great. The sunset at the top of the dunes, the delicious dinner, the fire in the dark of the night and the chats with the friendly owner, really really kind to answer to all my questions about the Omani culture. Finally a big breakfast and a ride with a camel.
Staff is really helpful and kind. Good conversations with owner and son. Nice bonfire at night. Food was really good. I was alone in the camp and was afraid of the variety and quality... but nothing bad. Dinner was quantious and varied. Breakfast a little bit less options but still more than enough and big quantities too. You will not be hungry. Rooms are wide and clean with bathroom attached (like camping)
I have nothing especial against the place. Maybe just 2 buts. Camp is a bit close to the town, as commented by others, so it's true that some lights might affect the visibility. Good sunset, not that good sunrise. Second one is a general one, not only for this camp but in general for all of them. I think prices in general are too high for what it is. So in general you pay for the experience rather than the place itself. (but as said, issue is generalized in all camps). So for the general price, this one was quite a good option.
We had a wonderful time and enjoyed exceptional hospitality . Thank you very much for this beautiful experience in your desert. Definitely book sunset tour with the 4WD, a highlight! Also the camel riding in the early morning is recommended.
The food was unbelievably good, even prepared at our request. The staff were genuine, friendly and incredibly helpful. We got stuck in the sand and they rescued us! Could not recommend this camp enough for your stay in the desert.
The dinner was exceptional, great food in the desert beside the campfire. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our guide was very informative and fun, we had a great time dune bashing and seeing the sunset. There were lots of activities on offer.
Tent facilities in desert was good but still can be improved
Food for pure vegetarian n helper staff behaviour
