Queens Lake Cabin

Front desk staff and floor attendant were really nice, supportive and submissive. Location is some how good but entree of hotel is very poor, will have to reach reception through stilt parking. Felt embraced to fellow friends as booking done by me and not worth to listing price. Reception is also very small, adjacent to kitchen, with very foul smell of sea foods.

Dinner was horrible, not eatable at all, seems don't have good kitchen facility. Breakfast, limited menu, only typical bread, butter and jam and omelette and that too limitation in quantity. We asked for two boiled eggs but they told, it’s paid. Then why breakfast was listed in website as free.

Location was remote, it's a single building so no amenities in the hotel, food was bad and reception area always smelled bad of some food from the kitchen attached to reception.

The staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful throughout our stay. They also provided us with an electric heater when we mentioned that the blankets and towels felt damp.

Unfortunately, the property did not meet our expectations. The bathroom had visible mould, there was a persistent musty smell, and the blankets and towels felt damp. The windows were very dirty, and some of the furniture and bathroom fixtures were worn and in need of maintenance. We also encountered several trails of ants in the room. The breakfast was rather disappointing compared with other places we stayed at in Sri Lanka. Overall, we found the 5-star rating on Booking.com misleading.

Hacía mucho frío en la habitación y no había mantas. Pedimos un calefactor y no nos lo trajeron. El a. El acceso al hotel no estaba vigilado por la noche y la recepción no estaba atendido. No habia ascensor y tuvimos que subir tres pisos con las maletas

No left (Elevator) The Wi-Fi is unstable all the time ، Most of the time there is no Wi-Fi service. Breakfast is simple and there aren't many options to choose from.

La posizione fronte lago. Il personale disponibile. Le Camere su due piani molto molto spaziose e con due comodi letti matrimoniali.

La struttura poco curata e che necessita di manutenzione e attenzione da parte del personale. Lenzuola bucate e sporche, vetri rotti nelle parti comuni. Nella prima camera un rumore molesto ad intervalli regolari tutta la notte e dopo ogni doccia si allagava il bagno, nella seconda appena entrato In doccia è caduta la ventola di areazione.

Aardige mensen, manager probeerde alles goed te regelen.

Helaas was het niet schoon, dekbed vies en haren in de douche. Gevraagd of ze dat wilde schoonmaken, maar dat is niet gedaan.

ハネムーン旅行で利用することを伝えていたらサプライズを用意してくれて嬉しかった！ 夜遅くのチェックインにも対応して温かい紅茶を出してくれた。 シャワーや暖房器具に不調があったがホテルマンがすぐに対応してくれた。 ありがとう！Benedict！

すごく寒い！

أقمنا هنا لمدة 3 أيام نهاية شهر جولاي، كانت الأيام باردة، تحتاج جاكيت و أحيانًا هناك رياح ممطرة تحتاج قبعة صوف خصوصًا للأطفال. نوع الغرفة كان غرفة عائلية بإطلالة بحيرة: -الاستقبال لطيف، كان الجو بارد وأحضروا لنا مشروب ترحيبي دافئ -يوجد مدفئة ولكن صوتها عالي (مثل صوت الاستشوار تقريبًا) -الإطلالة جميلة -الفطور لذيذ و مشبع (نهاية الأسبوع كان بوفيه وغيره كان الفطور الانقليزي) -تعامل أصحاب المكان جميل وسريع وخدمتهم رائعة

كانت غرفتنا باتجاه الرياح وسبب ذلك إزعاج أثناء النوم، طبعًا لا ذنب للفندق في ذلك لكن أنصح بطلب غرفة في المنتصف إن توفر.

Breakfast was very limited Far from city center.

Staff were great, specially the lady at the time of check in and checkout was excellent she really takes care of our all the request. Breakfast was ok if we compared to the room rate. Room was specious, and the view from our room was good.

The noise in the room duering strong wind. Whole night it makes sound can't sleep properly. Management needs to check, if there is any defect with building construction itself. The noise is not normal.

Heel lieve en fijne mensen. Het is koud in de bergen maar je kan warmwaterkruik krijgen. Ze voorzien een ontbijtpakket als je smorgens vroeg de trein wil nemen.

Het is een degelijk onderkomen.niets extra maar degelijke kamer.

Locatie, goed om waterval, theeplantages en theefabrieken te bezoeken.

Veelal was de douche koud . Vaker aangegeven, niet echt opgelost. Besteld eten waren wel hele kleine porties.

The room was decent it’s like a duplex with a bed on the lower part and one above. You can consider it to be a BnB. The only staff boy was good and helpful.

Poor amenities. Expect a set menu if occupancy is less. (not sure if it’s even made there or ordered from outside). No activities at all.

The location is great with an amazing view of the lake Gregory and tea gardens. The stay was very comfortable too.

The staff were very friendly and helpful but the hotel needs an update. There were signs of neglect, not sure if it was like that because we visited during off season. The hotel room had a musty smell, poor lighting. There is lot of room for improvement.

The views are incredible , the rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable. There’s a path around the lake that is great for a morning run.

Wat een heerlijk warme douche hadden we in dit hotel. De kinderen vonden het speeltuintje heel leuk.

De balustrade in de kamer die wij hadden was voor zowel onze drie jarige levensgevaarlijk, die kon er zonder enige moeite tussendoor vallen, als voor ons zelf, veel te laag. Het restaurant was alles behalve sfeervol. Het eten was redelijk maar voor de prijs viel het erg tegen.

The staff behaviour was excellent, very welcoming. The room is clean and nice, situated right besides the Gregory lake. The atmosphere in the evening is excellent and charming. Although they do charge a little for walking down the lake, it's worth every penny.

The images of the rooms shown on Booking are not exactly the same. From the images, it seems the upper cabin is sideways and there is a lot of space in the room where in actuallity, the upper cabin is exactly on top of the lower cabin. So the space is a bit cramped in the room. Can not put more than 2 bags and the movement is restricted as well.

The location is on the lake view and the kindness of the staff.

Very nice people very helpful and hospitality was great. Rooms were great and rooms were selected had the best views.

Not the best location if you are going for very peaceful isolation because lake was full of people, activities and noice.

Superb location with great views, great staff who go above and beyond to help. Convenient location with just a few mins walk to the lake. Large spacious rooms with a deck above with another king size bed and toilet upstairs making it ideal for families or 3-4 adults.

Washrooms require a deep clean and can improve on the breakfast options.

Alles! We hebben 1 nacht verbleven en het was heel fijn. De douche was snel warm, het bed was heerlijk, goede restaurants in de buurt en het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid. Vriendelijk personeel dat zelfs in de avond voor het slapen gaan nog een kruik kwam brengen. Fantastisch!

A nice comfy place near the lake. There's not much nearby, although Nuwara Elya is a small town with most of the attractions just 5-10 mins away by car.

I loved my stay here. The lake view location is absolutely stunning and very peaceful. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Świetny duży pokój, łazienka również. Śniadania bardzo dobre. Widok na okolicę mocno na plus, wszędzie widać plantacje herbaty i pobliskie jezioro. W pokoju nocą chłodno, ale jest gruba pościel a także można włączyć sobie dmuchawę grzewczą, która nawet dała rada i nagrzała pokój przed spaniem. Polecam!

Tijdens ons verblijf in Nurwara Eliya verbleven we drie nachten met ons gezin in Queens Lake Cabin. We hadden een split-level kamer wat ideaal was als familiekamer. Er is een uitgebreid ontbijt. Het personeel is heel kindvriendelijk en heeft ons steeds goed geholpen met tripjes en transport. Ze hebben er zelfs voor gezorgd dat een deel van onze vergeten bagage naar ons volgende hotel is gebracht. Veel dank aan alle medewerkers van Queens Lake Cabin!

Tijdens ons verblijf werd er gebouwd aan een naastgelegen hotel, dat gaf wat overlast.

Lovely helpful staff. Went out on our first night and staff were waiting for us with a hot water bottle when we got back. Clean comfortable beds. Good breakfast in the morning. Great location next to Gregorys Lake.

The Staff was courteous and the Location is also nice and room size is also great.

Did not like the Dinner preparation (Indian Vegetarian) which is also Limited and though the payment was secured, they asked for upfront payment on checking in. They also tried to charge for water bottles separately with Complimentary Break fast and Prepaid Dinner. The Lights were switched off in the middle of the night and we had wake up the staff to switch on the electricity. More lights also required in the rooms
