The staff is extremely slow in responding to requests. For instance, it took over 30 minutes and three calls before they attended our request for coffee and water.

Room is dark and window in basic double room opens on to a wall so makes it claustrophobic if you stay in for a long period.

On a l’impression d’être dans un chalet cosy à la montagne. La chambre familiale, avec un étage, est très confortable et parfaitement équipée. Nos enfants ont adoré avoir leur espace! L’hôtel est bien placé, à quelques minutes en tuktuk du centre ville. C’est un endroit que nous recommandons si vous êtes de passage à Nuwara Eliya

Very clean and quiet, breakfast was amazing.

Badkamer kan iets beter: De douche heeft een kort douchegordijn waardoor de het niet te vermijden is dat de badkamer nat is na het douchen. De infrarood sauna in de badkamer deed het niet, dit werd wel netjes gemeld bij het inchecken.

ひとりで宿泊だったのに部屋はメゾネットタイプのファミリールーム、家族できたら楽しそう、朝食のミルクティーもスタッフが丁寧に作ってくれた、美味しかった ログハウスなので、雰囲気を楽しむには最高です。

もっとグリーンが多い郊外かと思っていたのに、実際は街道沿い、自然を感じたい人にはちょっと物足りないかも？買い物等は便利だけど、

We had a very nice check in by a lady! My daughter loved it. Since it was very cold here we received a warm towel upon check in which was very comforting. The room was really cute and spacious. Nice staff, the cook from breakfast made the best omelets. In our whole holiday this was the best breakfast which lots of choices!!!

A very charming cottage entirely built of wood, with incredible attention to detail from the lighting to the drapery. The bathroom fully finished in natural stone was a fantastic touch. It has a lovely atmosphere and feels very cozy and well cared for.

A few minor issues to keep in mind: 1-Power Outlets: There were very few wall outlets available in the room. 2-Connectivity: Mobile reception was poor and the Wi-Fi barely worked in the rooms, leaving us mostly disconnected. 3-Breakfast: The options were quite limited if you prefer a sweet breakfast rather than savory items in the morning.

It is cold and the cottage is not well equipped for the heating system but I would say it s also because we were coming form the warm area

Super cute log cabin style rooms with an upstairs for the kids which they loved! We also loved the big bath! Great location for Gregory Lake. Good breakfast and good food options at the restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean.

Notre logement était très cocooning et réconfortant quand dehors la météo était pluvieuse. On peut se rendre au centre ville à pied, c'est très agréable. La nourriture du restaurant était bonne et copieuse.

La struttura era pulita, la stanza corrisponde perfettamente alle foto pubblicate. Colazione abbondante, forse persino troppo.

Unico aspetto da segnalare: a 2000 metri la sera la temperatura scende e il lenzuolo fornito è piuttosto leggero, quindi abbiamo avuto freddo durante la notte. La stufetta elettrica era disponibile, ma non ci siamo fidati a lasciarla accesa per ore. Per il resto ok

Wij verbleven in een familiekamer. Op de zolder ligt vloerbedekking, heel veel stof in de kamer. Mijn dochter is allergisch hierdoor was het helaas geen fijn verblijf.

We really appreciated the accommodation as well as the quality of the services offered. Despite the unfavorable weather, we had a pleasant stay. The breakfast and meals were excellent and the team was very kind and attentive. A heater was also installed in view of the temperatures dropping so that we could be comfortable. Thank you, sir, for thinking of us.

However, we were disappointed to find that our room did not have a view of the outside, but instead looked directly onto a wall. We would have appreciated this information in the description of the accommodation.

De uitstraling van de huisjes.

Het minste verblijf wat wij gehad hebben in Sri Lanka. Personeel gemaakt vriendelijk, voelt niet oprecht. Voorzien van babybedje, maar vervolgens het matras veel te groot voor het bedje waardoor je bijzondere taferelen krijgt. Krap voor 5 personen. Personeel in het restaurant doet hun best, maar maakt echt enorm veel fouten of vergeet dingen. Voor ons eenmalig.

Our WiFi didn’t work because of the location of our room even when they kindly put a router in our room. Our mattress was too hard but our daughter’s mattress was fine.

Locatie prima. Hotel is aardig gedateerd. Badkamer is niet schoon en douche werkt niet goed. Vond dit een matig hotel. Ontbijt was op zich prima en de mensen zijn zoals overal in Sri lanka super vriendelijk.

We had a pleasant stay here for one night. It was a nice change of style compared to the other places we stayed during our trip. I had expected the hotel to be a bit more surrounded by nature, as I was slightly confused by the photos on Booking.com. There is a driveway leading to the hotel with a small garden on the right, but it wasn’t quite the green setting I had imagined. The hotel serves an extensive and tasty breakfast, and the staff regularly checked in to make sure everything was okay, which we really appreciated. Their friendliness and attentiveness made us feel very welcome. The beds are a little shorter than average, but this wasn’t an issue for our family. We all slept well and had a comfortable night’s rest. Overall, this is a good choice for a one-night stay, with caring staff and a great breakfast

Het gebouw heeft een mooie uitstraling

De accommodatie is sterk verouderd en veel voorzieningen waren kapot of werkten niet goed. Daarnaast vonden we het personeel weinig vriendelijk, waardoor we ons niet welkom voelden. Voor de prijs die we betaalden verwachtten we veel meer. In vergelijking met de andere hotels tijdens onze rondreis was de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding erg slecht. We voelden ons zo niet thuis dat we na één nacht zijn vertrokken, ondanks dat we twee nachten hadden betaald.

De ligging en de gezellige houten chaletstijl. De bedden zijn heel comfortabel.

Het restaurant. Dure gerechten waar we lang op moesten wachten. En niet bijzonder lekker. Wij sliepen in de tuin in ene cottage waar s nachts de hele tijd een airco of generator aansloeg.

Het zijn hele charmante cottages. Wij hadden een kamer met extra verdieping. De kinderen vonden dat heel leuk. De douche is heerlijk warm. We hebben ook heerlijk gegeten in het restaurant. Personeel is vriendelijk.

Bedden zijn wel breed, maar niet lang. Voor iemand vanaf 1.70m steken de voeten al uit het bed.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Tolle, sehr gepflegte Anlage. Wir hatten ein fabelhaftes Familienzimmer mit zwei Stockwerken. Alles super in Ordnung! Aucb das Frühstück war bestens. Sehr stilvoll mit kolonialem Flair.

Es gab absolut nichts zu beanstanden.

Sicuramente la struttura è molto bella e particolare

Diciamo che sicuramente non è un 5 stelle, I muri in bagno si scrostavano e la doccia non aveva la porta perché dicono si sia rotta la sera prima. Mancavano gli asciugamani e la carta igienica. Che poi hanno provveduto immediatamente a consegnare. La camera è fredda e viene fornito un termosifone elettrico che aiuta moto durante la notte La cena non era molto saporita

La decoración es estupenda, la cama muy cómoda, la habitación espaciosa, la ubicación esta muy bien y el desayuno muy bueno.

Le falta algo de mantenimiento, en nuestra habitación el inodoro perdía agua, lo avisamos pero no nos lo arreglaron, simplemente cerraron la llave, además todo el mecanismo de la ducha se nos cayó encima mientras nos estábamos duchando; son pequeños detalles que sumados estropean un poco la estancia.

Overall service was great, with the manager Mr:Mahendran always making sure that we are 100% satisfied on facilities. The hotel assists you on local tours, trips as well by providing the best resources and advice. Highly recommended!

Honestly, there wasn’t a lot. I liked about this property.

The staff was not really friendly, they weren’t connecting and they tried to sell me a train ticket, while I know you can just buy at the station. the room had a constant noise at night, I couldn’t sleep, overall the place is just dark, and next to the road, I didn’t like it

Bien ubicado y decorado. Habitaciones amplias, cama grande y cómoda. Personal muy amable.

Mala conexión de wifi. Habitaciones frías y la ventana de la nuestra daba a un muro. Colcha de la cama y cojines daba la sensación de tener polvo.

Location is great, in vicinity of town centre about 10 min walk from bus station.. Property is beautifully decorated and maintained. Reception staff, Dilani and Mahendran are exceptionally helpful and courteous and even helped and guided in booking Colombo bus tickets. Breakfast was very good and the staff at restaurant are polite and courteous.

On arrival, the receptionist Lenard was a bit abrupt and asked us to sit n wait - no initial gesture of welcoming though later when I again went to him to enquire about our booking, he did explain that he had another check in to complete. Howevwr a simple gesture of welcome and in few words explanation of the reason for delay in attending us was a basic courtesy expected from any hotel reception. On a few other occasions, I realised that he starts with a no to every query posed ro him to the extent that I stopped interacting with him and opted to ask for other receptionists who were both extremely pleasant (Dilani and Mahendran). Property is starting to show signs of ageing and needs some maintenance. I opted for a room upgrade by paying the difference as the deluxe rooms have windows right next to a tall wall of adjacent property and was stuffy. Teh upgraded room had shower broken and drainage issues and the property has no netting of the windows so have mosquitoes and some other small flying insects entering room as windows are opened. However when mentioned to receptionist Dilani, she was quick to provide mosquito repellent.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Queens Cottage Hotel with our family. We booked the bed and breakfast package, and everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel has a very beautiful and unique concept, and we really loved the wooden style design throughout the property. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made our stay very relaxing. The breakfast was excellent with many varieties to choose from, and the Indian food options were especially delicious. Every morning we enjoyed the fresh and tasty meals very much. All the staff members were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. A very special shout out to Manager Mahendra he is extremely helpful, professional, and truly a great manager who made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend Queens Cottage Hotel to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya. We would definitely love to stay here again!

Very central location, excellent breakfast, friendly staff

The shower was in a large stone bath with a two foot wall to climb over, there was a noisy festival during our stay going on until 10 pm

Nice area, beautiful surroundings, old english charm styled cottage.

Steep price for average meals, breakfast was good, basic facilities for additional shower cap not given, soap too small…couple of broken fixtures for a suite. One staff was serving breakfast to multiple pax and was under stress.

Staff were so friendly, let us check in early. Provided a great laundry service and were happy to help with anything we needed.

Spacious and comfortable room in walking distance to everything in the town. Restaurant on site was also decent.

Staff were a little slow when bringing things to the room (extra toilet paper etc.), we had to ask multiple times but everyone was very friendly.

Брудно, пилява. Багато поламаних деталей в номері. Телефон не працював, підлога холодна, не було килима спочатку, потім принесли. Сніданок звичайний яйце, сосиска, фрукти, повно хліба. Нічого особливого.

The food and service was good. However MAJOR spoiler there was no alcohol to be bought. They apparently aren’t licensed.

Als je lichte slaper bent dan is dit wel een gehorige kamer!

Es gibt einen Billardtisch im Foyer. Dieser darf jedoch nur von Erwachsenen benutzt werden. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr grosszügig und reichhaltig. Das Restaurant ist ebenfalls sehr gut und die Portionen sind sehr gross.
