Mad Monkey Manila

I enjoyed the staff and the people I was with, and it was really fun. It was my solo trip, and I truly had the best time in Manila.

EVERYTHING! This is another place that joins my very few perfect ratings. Don’t get me wrong, if you’re not used to hostels it’s probably not “glamorous” enough for some. But they have clean beds, towels, en suite bathroom and shower. Incredible staff!!! Seriously! So helpful and responsive. I was supposed to arrive around 11pm from Buscalan to Makati on 8/30 but due to floods etc I did not arrive until 8/31 11am. They allowed me to relax and sleep with a discounted rate, words cannot DESCRIBE how grateful I am for this hostels kindness. Thank you to everyone, I didn’t get everyone’s names but some are Jay, Eejay and Camille. The bonuses are also free walking tours, happy half hour, karaoke, quizzes and more

Not a bad thing but maybe a suggestion, for the wet rooms! Just simply provide a squeegee for the water so you can push it into the drain since bathroom and shower are the wet room style

This is a great hostel to stay at! Super SUPER friendly staff! Thank you Jay, Eejay, Camille, everyone is seriously so nice! They have walking tours, pub crawls and plenty of socializing opportunities. The location is very nice and honestly I cannot emphasize enough how lovely my stay was here! They provide towels and have curtains around the whole bed. The AC is super strong!!

The staff first and foremost. This place has alot of soul and its because the staff and owner make you feel so welcome from the moment you step in. They always have some events and gatherings happening most or every night where they introduce guests to each other and locals show up to. This is exactly how I wanted to start my trip and I am thankful for that. Slept in a private room. Its tiny but still comfortable enough to enjoy. The location is A+ if you enjoy going out to bars and clubs and to be around alot of life. Thank you Jay and Jonny for being the best crazy hosts!

Got nothing bad to say. Its a hostel so don't expect luxury in your room. Its nice enough as it is!

Could be a bit louder in evening as its in center of party area but with earplugs manageable.

Warm welcome when you enter the building. Great for socializing especially when you want to meet new people. Great daily events for all kinds of entertainment you want. Reasonable price also for the food and drinks knowing the location is expensive too in Manila.

Noise but since it is in the party district, it is understandable.

The staff, with the way they look at you it's like they are judging you. They prefer to assist foreign people, so funny, they thought Filipino don't give tips😅 well working in this industry they treat all guest equally.

Room is little small and next to the busy street so noisy at night. It was good for me as I stayed only one night.

Breakfast was available in the 24/7 cafe. Loved their baked goods. The staff are so friendly.

Loud music from the rooftop. Hard to sleep. Shitty pillow and blanket. Too many beds and only one small toilet per room. I think that 12-16 beds in one room.

The location is great, next to it so many pubs and cafés.

There is only a single bathroom for 8 people in room, the Ac was directly hitting on my head, the blanket is very thin form of clothes, it is like a bed sheet, not even a bed sheet, I requested a change, but they didn’t do it. There was a pillar on the roof, it was always hitting on my head. Looks liked you sleep under the bridge, the hostel is full of monkeys who makes noise till early morning 6 am. unable to sleep. it is a terrible hostel, I got sick 🤧 from this hostel, I got flu 🤧, this hostel is terrible 😢. This hostel is full of diseases and monkeys . Never 👎 ever again, Mad monkeys

Social scene was great. Staff couldn’t do anymore to integrate newbies with existing guests. Ejay was great, also encountered Jay during my trip and he was also great.

The air freshener that goes off every 15 minutes in room 208, can be abit overpowering

Such an amazing experience staying at a Mad Monkey hostel for the first time, the people were really the best and so much fun, special shoutout to Ejay, Jonnie & Patrick. Going to miss everyone there

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is good, close to restaurants.

* Due to the location it was impossible to get a good sleep even after our long 17 hour flight. There are many party spots and bars right next to and front of the hostel. People were outside, music was loud and partying until the morning. * There was no warm water at all neither in the evening nor in the morning. Even if the weather is very warm outside it would have been nice to have at least a bit warm shower after our long flight and not fighting with very cold water.

I came for a day and stayed for a week. Mad Monkey has Super clean comfortable beds and ice cold rooms. At these prices it’s like free living what else could you ask for. I would have stayed a month but i needed the white sand beaches of Cebu in my life. Makati is an awesome city.

1. The toilet exhaust fan is very noisy 2. The air conditioner is faulty; it's not cold. 3.The storage cabinet was not well maintained, which led to others using my storage cabinet. 4.There's no place to put small items next to the bed, such as bottled water, a razor, or other personal items.

The staff was really warm and approachable namely Angelica. I also love that there was a trivia night when I checked-in. My favorite of all time.

Maybe the noise some of my roommates made. Well it is anticipated since it's a hostel but still, they should abide by the rules. That's basically it.

Central, amazing team, stayed in a private room and it felt like real hotel. Did not experience (yet) the party area, so if you do not like partying it is also a perfect place for you! Super clean. 25 nice walk to ayala triangle and the malls (airconditioned 🤪

Excellente localisation, en plein cœur de Makati/Poblacion. Il y a du bruit mais on ne peut pas s'attendre à autre chose dans un quartier aussi animé. Etablissement propre. Personnel adorable. J'y retournerai probablement !

Right in the party district. Great hostel activities to make friends. All the party places are within walking distance.

The toilet has a kind of weak flush, but it'll do.

The staff made the stay. It’s a very friendly hostel. They do a daily free walking tour to get to know the area. This was amazing to meet people. I ended up going from the tour back to the hostel and having a great night out with the people I met.

The bedrooms are small and quite narrow.

Location is great and nightlife is good

There was no common space to hang out just the cafe but still good place to meet people
