わたしたちが借りた部屋は冷房が効いてて快適でした！そしてオーナーが親切で、本当にお世話になりました。夜中に急遽対応してくださり、病院に送ってくれました。とても親切な良い方でした！

他の部屋も借りたのですがそこは冷房がなかったようで、暑かったみたいです。あとはお迎えに車できてくれましたが、人数と荷物の量とは合わない形でした。笑

The accommodation was clean, featuring a spacious bathroom and living area 🩵 The price included a delicious Indian breakfast (a bit spicy for my personal taste, but very nutritious). The host was simply wonderful an open, kind-hearted person who made me feel like the most welcome guest 🙏

The room was budget-friendly and comfortable. Perfectly fine for a night of two. . A fellow traveller told me that Breakfast was good, but i didn't have any, so can't comment. The host was very accommodating - great hospitality.

Je recommande cet homestay à 100%! Je ne suis restée qu'une nuit car je transitais ensuite vers le Népal. L'hôte a été au petit soin, avec un immense sourire. Si vous pouvez y rester un peu plus longtemps faites le ! Les gens de Gorakhpur semblent tous très friendly.

Family homestay. I think it's an honest place. I could rest properly. I just recommend paying extra attention to the washroom cleaning.

We arrived at the lodge on February 21, 2026, and due to the Holi celebrations, we were unable to secure onward travel tickets. As a result, we found ourselves unexpectedly stranded in Gorakhpur for six days. What could have been a stressful situation turned into one of the most heartwarming experiences of our journey — all thanks to Mr. Arvind. He truly went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed, cared for, and at home. From graciously upgrading our room at no additional cost to kindly allowing us a slightly late checkout, his generosity and hospitality touched us deeply. We can confidently say that this city and this lodge have gifted us some of the most beautiful memories we have ever had in India. The area feels safe, and the people here are incredibly warm, loving, and kind. Gorakhpur will always hold a special place in our hearts.

There's literally nothing that I didn't liked . Everything was awesome.

I had a wonderful time in this amazing apartment: it is very specious and quiet. The AC is amazing so you have a quiet and fresh space from the busy streets, it was perfect. Gorakphur is an interesting city so take at least 2 days. The new owner Arwin is very available for all needs: tickets, breakfast (included), check in etc. But leaves you to it when you need rest. This apartment is great!

The stay was amazing. The owner was a very polite and down to earth person.The best part of the stay is that , on our request, the owner allowed us to stay for few hours beyond our check out time . It is worth every penny .

My host went out of his way to ensure a smooth check in, was friendly and willing to chat about Gorakhpur. This and other interactions with locals made me feel quite comfortable in the city..

The owner is very kind, he received us after check-in time since our train was delayed for several hours, and he also advised us on how to get to Kathmandu, informing us about the real prices and frequency of the buses. Also the room was super big and very clean.

I had a very enjoyable stay at Gokul PG Homestay. The owner of the homestay came to pick me up and had a very warm, friendly smile. He is the best homestay owner I have ever met in my travelling life. When I was in an Uber he helped me feel safe by following the driver, with WhatsApp, and spoke to him when the driver went the wrong way. He took me on a day tour by his own car when another taxi cancelled. He is very interesting and funny, I really enjoyed the trip with him. The room is big, with a kettle (I love tea so appreciate this), he provides filtered water, and he gave me a new blanket on a cold night. It was also great value. Thank you Arvind for the lovely stay. Next time I return in Gorahpur, I will definitely come back.

The owner of the place, Mr Arvin, is a very interesting person. From the first moment exhibited a very good mood and showed that he's a great conversationalist (with perfect English). The room I was given (I guess the best in the whole building) was very very good, one of the bests I've ever been to in India. Huge space, featuring a desk, a seating area, and even some training equipment to do exercise. He even borrowed me an electric kettle, which was awesome to prepare coffee while working. Notice as well that the hot water shower worked perfectly, which as you might know is something you can't never take for granted while traveling around Asia ;) For foreign visitors, I highly recommend two very good places nearby the homestay: ˝Hot Kettle˝ (awesome chai & butter bun, the manager speaks a bit of Spanish and it's one of the kindest people ever) and "Miss Khauji" (women-run business with awesome dosas, very good Manchurian, etc.)

As many other guests have pointed out, it's complicated to locate the place, since it's not easily findable in Google Maps. In addition, after ate arrival in the bus station, most drivers don't want to take you to the place or they don't know where it is. Therefore, if you arrive in India without data in your mobile phone, you're screwed up. In my case I was lucky someone offered me their phone to call Mr Arvin, and he offered me to pick me up from the station at a modest price. Already told him how inconvenient is this, so hopefully he can fix the problem as soon as possible for future guests. For the time being, asking him to share with you the exact location in Google Maps (different to the location that appears when you look for the name of the place provided by the host) might be your best bet. Another detail which could be improved are the bed sheets. They are from this kind of thick, non-soft material, which doesn't look easy (or even feasible) to properly wash at high temperatures between guests. Something to take into account if you're sensitive to dust mites (I needed to sleep full-clothed, and even then, skin was itchy).

Very reasonable rates, excellent amenities and very attentive, respectful and kind host. Highly recommended. Easily my best ever homestay experience, ever.

The friendly owner took care very well of us! Everything was clean and the food was amazing. Warm water was also working well. We stayed for one week in Gorakhpur because I was sick and he helped me to get fit again. Thank you very much for everything!

We were travelling first time to Gorakhpur and our trains reached at 2245 hr night,We dont know how to reach to accomodation,E rixhao is avaible but willing to take risk,We requested owner of the property ,he has picked us in his car from Rlyvstation to hone,same way he has dropped at rly station at 5 Am,Our stay was pleasent and more than we expected.He has Guided nicely to visit the location in Gorakhpur. We have enjoyed food from his own house,that was amazing part of our visit.Nice andctasty food.We did not felt that We are out of our home city.

I couldn't find the place so he called me and went to pick me up, he also took me to the train station at 5:30 in the morning, the room was amazing, very good facilities, soap, shampoo, you can smoke inside, mattress was a bit hard but fine enough, and really afordable, I recommend for foreigners
