Hall Street Haven

We arrived a couple of hours earlier than expected, and Nikki was very happy to let us check in a little earlier.

We had a lovely stay at Hall St Haven! The house was beautiful, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was a great place to relax, and we’d happily stay again. Highly recommend! 😊 The range of hot chocolate, tea, coffee was unexpected and a lovely offering. Also the place was lovely and warm when we arrived. Thank you for the added attention to detail to make our stay so enjoyable.

Unit was exactly as advertised. Small and cosy, but had everything we required. We will definitely book again if we need to stay in Kihikihi.

We didn't think to check where the light switch was located before we went out for the evening. So when we returned it took several minutes to find the switch for the light for the lounge on the other side of the room in the kitchenette.

Shower was amazing, lovely set up and switches were labeled which made life easy.

It was super cozy! For myself and my 2 young children - The host knew we were checking in late so had heaters on warming the space up for our arrival:) Easy check in! Lovely shower - love the decor:) Bed is comfy… Tv in the room for movies in bed 🙌🏽

One suggestion would be a sensor light outside on the end of the deck:) and maybe a full length mirror… Regardless excellent space

Cool unit, clean and well furnished with nice decor touches in a good location for cross country commuting, total value for money!

Took a couple of drives past to locate it but may have missed a sign.

Beautifully decorated property. Adjoins the owners house but very private and quiet. Feels safe. The owners are lovely. Good value for money.

The kitchenette set up is a bit basic but fine for an overnight stay.

Mattress and pillows were uncomfortable. Fridge was noisy if you had to sleep in there.

Layout of the rooms was a bit awkward with table in the bedroom far from tea and coffee facilities and with bathroom in between..

Accommodation was clean and tidy. Had all amenities covered. Host was on premises and very easy to talk to. Parking was off street. Communication was excellent throughout the whole process. Location was perfect for our reasons. Would highly recommend.

Perfect setup, comfortable and has everything you need.

Le logement était vraiment parfait, très bien agencé et très propre. La chambre et la salle de bain étaient spacieuses et lumineuses. Le lit était confortable et le lieu était très calme. Je recommande à 100% !

Close to the speedway track , clean and tidy,good shower pressure, very quiet area

The TV was a bit hard to get around with only wifi so trying to cromecast what would be good is if that have sky in the main house they can get a second decoder for $25 a month and set that up

Not having access to normal TV. Timer on shower. Do not believe it was 10 minutes. Was unable to put conditioner through my hair.

I met Mark on arrival and he was very friendly, helpful and informative. Very clean, private and cosy stay. Would not hesitate to stay again when back in this region. Thanks for your hospitality Mark & Nikki.

The bed and shower

The facilities looked great when we arrived, and the owners were very friendly. Everything met our expectations until Saturday morning. We were hoping for a sleep-in, but unfortunately someone started up their boat before 8 a.m., and the noise continued for almost 45 minutes. This was disappointing given that everything else was excellent. The beds were comfortable, the shower was great, and the place was very clean. Maybe we just had bad luck with this experience, but it did affect our Saturday morning.

Spacious rooms and comfortable bed, very relaxing atmosphere

Kind of thought it was a sleep-out situation, didn't realize it was attached to the owners house. Wasn't a big deal, but just felt like I couldn't quite be myself when taking phone calls etc.

we really enjoyed our little overnight stay , very comfortable nice and warm as we didn't get in until night time they had left the heater on and a light fir us which was great. Very clean and quiet. Our little girl loved it especially the treats that were left for us. Will definitely stay again

Walking distance to kihikihi speedway. Clean tidy and modern Biscuits and chocolate were a bonus

The whole set-up was perfect, you could not ask for more.

Nothing to improve at all

Relaxed and friendly check-in and out. Comfortable stay.

Difficult to cool the rooms down; the windows didn't open far. Consider mounting the lounge TV on the wall, and putting a narrow table with stools underneath the TV. This would give more bench space in kitchenette.

Only stayed for a night but such an easy check in and check out process and great communication with the hosts. It's a room with ensuite and lounge area and a sofa bed to fit 1 person in the lounge. Very clean and in a quiet neighborhood which was exactly what we were looking for. Will bookmark this place for future stays in Hamilton.

Very tastefully set up great value

We had our own breakfast although it was on offer.

Being oldies and not used to Netflix etc would have preferred to be able to get normal NZTV channels. We don't go in for Netflix or films but realise that most people are into all of these things and there was a large range.

The accommodation was handy to Te Awamutu, where we needed to be most of the time. The unit was readily accessible. The hosts were easy to contact and helpful.

The meal preparation and dining facilities were very limited. The description of the property in Booking.com states the unit has a kitchenette. That is inaccurate as there was no kitchen sink and inadequate bench space. Also, no cooking facilities beyond the small microwave. The bed was adequate but had complaining springs, which seemed to scream for relief when I sat on them. The sofa was uncomfortable. Walking through the bathroom to the bedroom wasn't ideal.

Everything was great. The place is clean, well decorated and located in a quiet area.

WIFI kept crashing - couldn't do any work

Had everything we needed, The yummy soaps and baths salts that were for purchase are awesome too.

No dish washing liquid was provided to do our dishes. But otherwise was a nice quiet spot.

Cleanliness was spot on, felt welcomed from the beginning, nice and private, was a very comfortable stay because of the hospitality of our hosts 😊

The home owners were very helpful, making sure we had what we needed with a plus of being very kind. The room was very clean and organized. The small extras made our stay more enjoyable too. I highly recommend staying here if you want to relax

Was all good!

The unit was modern and clean. The host was friendly and helpful and we had purring Marlin the cat come for pats :) The price was very reasonable for 3 adults. Heating and blankets made for a cosy stay on a wet cold night.

Only minor things overall. There was no TVNZ or freeview available, and no icon for Netflix on the streaming list (even though Netflix was available). No instant coffee, only plunger coffee. The parking space was tight and it was hard to navigate out of. The only way out of the main bedroom was via the bathroom so not very private for the 3rd guest. Only mentioning these things to help the host improve an already good accommodation.

It had everything it said, it was warm and snug, and our hosts went the extra mile, flexible and little extras in the room.

Quiet and new

Not too easy to find in the dark as no sign in road or on house but parking had sign by we didn’t drive in enough to see that

This was a cozy place to stay with a beautiful bedroom and bathroom. The pull out sofa bed was comfortable enough and the little kitchen had everything we needed. It was a happy bonus that there was a very friendly cat outside who greeted us as we settled in.

Perfect place, structure and area

I enjoyed everything about our stay, the quiet, the safe feeling that surrounded the area and neighborhood.

Not some much didn't like, but woke up a little sore from the sofa bed, could feel the middle bar when trying to sleep. All though the room is better suited for a couple.

It was great. We dealt with Mark, who was very helpful and great to chat with. The spare bed was already made up for our daughter. There were complimentary chockies, proper coffee, and a friendly cat. Exceeded expectations!

Self contained unit attached to the hosts house with outside access had everything we needed. Good shower. Private outdoor space.

Pillows needed upgrading.

The location was perfect for my travels. The shower is good with good water pressure. The bed is comfy.

Gorgeous accommodation with very comfortable beds! All the amenities we needed and the hosts were so friendly.

Milky was very welcoming despite a last minute booking. Excellent spot . Opted to not do breakfast as I had to leave early

Loved the stay! Very nice and very clean and hosts were absolutely amazing! Easy to chat too! Especially with our extra request! Private and peaceful! The greenery in the room was beautiful, just so lovely to be able to step out of our chaotic lives and had somewhere to relax, and recover!

Only thing I needed to do was buy an extension cord so I could work at the table - bu that was no problem
