Reviewed Apr 26, 2026It is a very neat, and trendy unit and a great location next to the tram, and near to all the wine farms and to the gorgeous town.
The shower drain was blocked and since the shower floor is flat, the water flowed into the bedroom floor, so I landed up having to mop it dry. The shower is glass and open, so there is no privacy, not to mention that there is transparent edges of the front door and one can see right through to the transparent shower if one had to look through the transparent edges in the front door. I also noticed the was no BBQ that was advertised on booking.com.

Geen goed licht in de keuken. Communicatie met de verhuurder alleen via whatsapp, wat we nogal onpersoonlijk vinden.

Had everything you will need. Loved the cute, small gestures like adding an electric blanket because it was cold over the weekend and even some sherry next to the fireplace, adds such a lovely ambiance😌

Also close enough to the Main Street with bars/restaurants/shops to be able to walk. Apartment was very modern and well presented. Bed very comfortable! Good communication from the host regarding how to self check in and get the key.
I should have looked at the photos more closely as I didn’t realise how open plan the shower/bedroom/toilet are and I prefer them in a separate room.

The hosts were really communicative before/during the stay and went above and beyond when my husband became a bit poorly which we really appreciated. The space is very clean, feels modern and has everything you could need for a short stay in Franschhoek.

Reviewed Nov 25, 2024The location is a bit surprising at first, you think you're maybe at the wrong place (a business park almost) but there are a few accommodations dotted around the place and the apartment was fantastic. The location is excellent, walking distance to everything in town and right next to the tram. Tastefully furnished and super comfortable, really lovely.
Everything was great, no negatives. The shower is open plan so the water sprays a bit so just put towels around in case your shower is too robust, haha

Wasn’t a train smash but we moved couch to watch the tv because it felt weird the way that it was. We understand we might be a thing of space

I loved the little finishing touches, like toiletries in the bathroom, candles, modern finishes and comfort. An inverter on site was also great for when there is no power. I will absolutely use this place again on our next visit to Franshoek

It doesn’t help you advertise a fireplace or a tv if you cant use them or if the guest have to run to the grocers to buy wood, batteries etc. The weather was pouring down rain so very inconvenient to run errands that should have been in place by the owner. Rainy weather aka as fire burning and tv so again, room checks are important. And staff/owner reply was just oh sorry, not let me sort it out.

Reviewed Jun 27, 2024Check out the amazing features of this place! It's got everything you could ask for, like top-notch kitchen amenities including a state-of-the-art coffee machine and a convenient dishwasher.
I'll certainly make a note of the following: There was a lot of noise coming from the kitchen area. We're not sure which machine was causing the noise during the night. It was quite disruptive. I had difficulty sleeping because I kept thinking someone was trying to open our door. Could we make sure that the front door offers privacy so that someone outside can't see it when we turn the lights on inside?

Reviewed Mar 22, 2024Beautiful studio apartment, with little private patio at rear. Very well appointed and tastefully decorated. Very clean. Comfortable modern furniture. Extremely well kitted out with modern appliances. Couldn't have asked for more. Location literally behind the Wine Tram so easy to walk there (and, more importantly, walk back after a long day wine tasting!). Laundry 3 minutes walk away, likewise supermarket. And main Franschoek street and restaurants only a few minutes more. All in all super apartment for 2. Great comms with the owners throughout. will certainly want to use gain next time my wife and I visit Franschoek.
2 minor comments: apartment has an iron but no board that we could find; and we found it difficult to control the air conditioner but we found the mains board easily enough so could just switch on and off as required. But these are very minor blemishes which did not detract in any way from our stay.

The lady doing the cleaning let us leave our bags there as we were early, which was great as we could go and get lunch. Tracey was always contactable via email or WhatsApp for any queries we had which was fantastic.

Reviewed Dec 21, 2023The location was fantastic! It was within easy walking distance of the Wine Tram, Pick n Pay and the town was well within our reach. The unit was wonderfully neat and clean and had everything that we needed. I won't hesitate to recommend it. Thank you Mark and Tracey.
One small comment to make, we feel that there should be 4 teaspoons, not 2. But this is a minor issue in comparison to everything else that Mark and Tracey get spot-on.

Reviewed Nov 2, 2023Perfect location, quite literally next to the wine tram station, and easy walking distance to the main street of Franshhoek. Large studio, with a comfortable bed. Well stocked kicthen and nice and clean.
The lounge configuration was a little strange with where the TV was mounted on the wall, personally I would rotate the lounge/sofa and mount the TV on the nib wall which the bed backs onto the otherside of. The room did get quite light early due to no window coverings on two small high windows.

Could have had two extra towels as we stayed there two nights. Logs and fire starters could have been provided as it was freezing however the store was a 2 min drive away.

The apartment is much nicer than the photos and the electrical inverter was a bonus during the power outages. The electric blankets were very welcome in the cold weather. The lock box for the keys is an extremely fuss free process on arrival and departure. The hosts replied to our messages and enquiries immediately.
I would have preferred a king size bed.

Aircon only blows cold, a bit of wood to start the fire would have been nice.
