Friendly and helpful host, great location within walking distance to shops and restaurants and tube station, pretty front of house, beautiful sash windows with gorgeous shutters that opened wide for lots of fresh air, tea/coffee facilities, comfy bed with big tv.

Liked everything apart from the scorching hot shower! It would have been absolutely perfect if we could have had a bath and option of cooked breakfast but thats just our preference.

The Marple Cottage is a quaint, traditional property in a good location, a short walk from the centre of Wimbledon including rail station, plus a street of local shops, cafes etc just yards away, it’s nice and quiet at night too. I was greeted by friendly helpful staff and the check in / out process was simple . The cost was very reasonable compared to many other establishments in London.. Enjoyed my stay and would recommend, especially if you prefer the traditional “Guest house” experience rather than a larger modern type hotel

Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber, schöne, kleine Cafés vor der Haustür und mitten in schöner Wohngegend gelegen.

Snídaně byla výborná, britská, s bohatým výběrem, servírovaná s přátelským a osobním přístupem. Možnosti výběru večer předem jsem nevyužil, přesto byla ráno připravena podle mého zadání.

I loved staying here! It is very much a guest house experience of my youth (30 years ago). The team were very friendly, the room was spotless and - full credit - had a large vertical fan which was ideal in the heatwave with London reaching 38 degrees. Also, the ability to fully open the windows was a huge bonus that is not possible in many hotels. All in all I hope to stay here again.

The welcome on arrival was very friendly and helpful. Everything worked and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location is good, with coffee shops and cafe's across the street and Wimbledon center a 10 minute walk away.

My room was right at the top of the house, which meant I had to carry my cases up two flights of stairs - this was no problem for me, but something visitors should be aware of. We were in the middle of a heat wave, and the combination of being on the top floor and limited ventilation (sash windows would only open about 15 cm) meant that the room was always hot. The owners had provided a fan which definitely helped, and obviously are not at fault for the weather.

Heel vriendelijke en gastvrije mensen. Het was heel warm en bij aankomst werd ons kosteloos water aangeboden... Deze kleine dingen maken het verschil, er werd ook rekening gehouden met de hitte en we kregen een kamer op het gelijkvloers. 's Avonds aten we in een restaurant Mumsy vlakbij... Heerlijk gegeten daar.

Enige minpuntje was de hitte maar de ventilator bracht wel wat verkoeling

Under the unprecedented circumstances of the heatwave covered London it was uncomfortably hot in the room

Super freundliche Gastgeber, perfekt sauber, gute Betten und top Lage. Nur 10 Minuten bis zur Station, wo sowohl Zug als auch U-Bahn schnell ins Zentrum von London fährt. Abends haben wir es sehr genossen, nach der lauten Innenstadt Londons in Wimbledon die zahlreich vorhandenen Pubs und Restaurants zu nutzen.

Ich habe mich bewusst für eine Unterkunft etwas außerhalb von London entschieden und die entspannte, gemütliche Umgebung sehr geschätzt. Rundherum gibt es zahlreiche Cafés und Restaurants, die man bequem zu Fuß erreicht. Die Anbindung ist ebenfalls top, da die nächste Haltestelle nur wenige Minuten entfernt liegt. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Besitzer: sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und wirklich bemüht. Das Haus selbst hat viel Charme und macht den Aufenthalt zu einer besonders schönen Erfahrung.

A lovely bright well maintained room and en suite with a great view from the top of the house. We didn’t take breakfast at the property due to visiting family round the corner. However an iron was immediately forthcoming on request and there was a small ironing board and also a tall fan for summer in the room.

Great location, a short walk from the hustle and bustle of central Wimbledon but in a quieter area with some great little shops and cafes closeby. Very well connected to central London and only 5 minutes away from the tennis grounds. The owner Nick was incredibly accommodating for the very late arrival of my guests. Highly recommended if you want to move away from the high street hotel chains!

The hotel was a 20 minute walk from the tube station, in a quiet neighborhood, with cafes, a convenience store, and a nice restaurant nearby.

No elevator

This is a lovely guest house which was very conveniently located for us as we were visiting family in the area. Our room was spotlessly clean, with a mini fridge and cooling fan - we made good use of these as we were staying there during the recent heatwave! The hosts are very helpful and friendly. Would happily stay here again.

Maple Cottage was a lovely place to stay. The B&B is in a great location near to shops and a few restaurants, and is a short walk to Wimbledon underground and overground and the high street. Bridget and Neil were lovely hosts, happy to chat and help with any issues or questions. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Very helpful hosts . The house was warm and very welcome especially as it was a period of cold and windy weather. Very easy to walk to Wimbledon town centre. Plenty of restaurants to choose from.

Shower needed descaling around the bottom of the glass screen and room was too hot. Windows didn't open so had to run fan all night.

Lovely guesthouse with really kind owners who couldn't do enough for you. Great location near a little high street in Wimbledon, highly recommend Drop Shot Coffee shop nearby. Short walk to the overground and underground stations in Wimbledon and then approximately 20min train ride into central London. Room was spacious with all the basic amenities and a great value for money.

The owner and het son were such nice people and so helpfull!

El lugar está limpisimo y es precioso con mucho encanto. La habitación tiene todo lo que necesitas perfecto, la cama es cómoda, hay calefacción por las noches y mucha luz por la mañana, lo cual te despierta un poco pero es muy agradable. El personal es super amable. Me esperaron hasta tarde porque me retrasé a la hora de hacer el check in. Es perfecto para descubrir el oeste de Londres, que es precioso y tiene muchisimas cosas.

La ubicación es preciosa para ir caminando directamente pero hay que saber que hay que caminar 15 minutillos hasta el metro.

Great location within walking distance of Wimbledon train station, in a very pleasant and charming neighbourhood. The house itself is absolutely delightful, and the hosts are wonderful. The rooms are simply furnished but equipped with everything you might need, including a kettle and a hair dryer. Everything is spotless and very well maintained. The heating works perfectly, and the bed is very comfortable.

Excellent guest house in a lovely location in Wimbledon! A short walk to the station. My single room was very comfortable and quiet, as well as very clean. The team were lovely- I got a very kind welcome and goodbye. The value is brilliant for the location and facilities.

My sister and I stayed at Marple Cottage Guest House for two nights and wish we had a longer stay! We loved everything about it! The quiet and safe neighborhood, the friendly hosts, the clean and cosy bedroom and the delicious breakfast. My sister cannot stop talking about the best tea she has ever tasted! The Guest House was located only 10 min away from the lovely Wimbledon Village, and the more bustling "downtown" of Wimbledon. The host recommended we walk to Cannizaro Park which was certainly a highlight during our trip. They even let us check out late! We are so glad we found this Guest House and will definitely come back again!

The room were super cozy and I felt safe living there when traveling solo. The owner is super nice and lovely!

The showers water pressure is a bit small and th water can be a bit cold.

Nice location - very quiet despite the property being at the junction of two roads and our room at the front on the ground floor. Extremely clean. Very comfortable bed. Nice friendly hosts. We didn’t have breakfast (toast, cereal, fruit).
