Location is great, the facilities on offer are good too.

I really wanted to give a better score because the location is great, good walking distance to cafes and shops. Facilities are also good but the room wasn’t clean. Dishes were dirty, dust in the room, oven wasn’t clean, skirting boards and ceiling also needed cleaning.

Simple decor, the tap at the kitchen bench seemed to be constantly dripping. Clock on the wall wasnt working, flat battery.

Shower needed a scrub and the shower head was broken so had to be held in place. Carpet in the lounge had a number of stains

dirty linen was not collected daily from the bathrroom. room wasnt serviced regularly we had to call for ut to be done and bed linen wasnt changed and we were booked fir 7 nights.

Bed was made very untidily and found small hairs and a stain on the bed sheet. Room just felt like it was haphazardly cleaned overall feels outdated. No staff on arrival for check in - have to call a mobile number to gain access to key box. Wifi connection instructions in the room are incorrect so had to contact staff mobile number for wifi password.

Beds are comfy, nice big room for family and love the courtyard

No staff on site. Lots (50+) of cigarette buts on ground of outside area. Shower didn't drain properly, too slow , water near top of shower basin while waiting for warm water, had to refrain from shower. Dust under table, on kickboards etc. In need of thorough clean!

The unit was NOT CLEAN even cigarette ash just left on the outside table and a dirty smelly container.

Booked for 2 nights. My car was damaged while parked in front of my room on the first night. I just need the CCTV footage to avoid paying $950 in excess as part of my insurance claim and prove it didn’t happen to me - there is a camera pointing directly towards where I was parked and I was assured the CCTV was operating. The motel manager said the footage was being looked into as we spoke, and she’d send it through the next day. It has now been 4 days and I still don’t have the footage. I will happily edit this review the moment I receive the CCTV footage from Energy Motel that I was promised. For now, I am left over $1000 out of pocket with an insurance claim on hold; for the damage my vehicle incurred, and the second pre-paid night I didn't end up feeling comfortable to stay for. Energy Motel, please get in touch!

Nothing was good about this property.

-musty smell as soon as you walk in -turned or ac and the front cover fell off, showing the filthy dust filled filters -Shower still had soap on the soap dish, was also dusty dirty around the shower/mouldy -Only 2 flannels provided when booked for 4 people. -Questionable if linen was truly clean, hair throughout on of the beds -no wifi password available, despite advertising having free wifi no way to login -power multi board hanging out of the wall -overall very poor cleanliness

Location. Nice size room for 2 people

Good location. However Motel is on the main road. Pak n Save and shopping centre is within walking distance from the motel. Didn't experience any noise from the motel, however our room wasn't close to the road.

The beds were comfortable but were just a mattress on a platform, which was slightly difficult to get in and out of.

Really liked the private outdoor covered area. Massive bed and super comfy.

NO STAFF IN ATTENDANCE , have to phone number left at door of office . they then give you a number of lock box of unit so you can get the key to get into unit . thats o.k. if your phone is working .try finding a public phone -non existent . don't know when the place it was last vacumed

Central location, linen and towels clean, good parking. Basic needs met regarding linen, cutlery, comfortable bed, coffee, tea, drinking chocolate sachets and milk supplied.

Overall the cleanliness was extremely bad. Used beer bottle and glass left in bathroom drawers, sticky floors covered in filth, surfaces not clean, even the carpet felt sticky. Blocked bathroom sink.

Shower was dirty. I dont think it was cleaned from previous guests. There was used soap in shower and soap scum. Curtains were ripped from top rod. They desperately need replacing. Overall room did not feel clean and comfortable.

Well located easy walk to the beach and lots of shops around for food options. Allowed early check-in by an hour, which was very much appreciated.

No sheets or bedding for the sofa bed even though we selected five people on the Booking. Bed on a flat surface not proper beds so not very comfortable. Kitchen set up very makeshift and refrigerator Freezer section was all iced up. There is very little maintenance or care taken with the rooms. This was the only accommodation that payment was not taken through Booking.com and somehow the hotel took payment directly from my credit card and I have no receipt other than the credit card charge . Not sure if it’s related but my credit card was compromised with charge to an unrelated hotel two days later.

Being asked for credit card details over the phone and told we would be locked out if we didn't provide these.

Great location, easy to find, the woman at the front desk was lovely, the Wifi speed was fantastic. Plenty of milk in the fridge, which was great. Complementary makeup kit

When we arrived the room smelt warm, of food and musty. There was toothpaste residue leftover from the previous guests. We also had ants. The floor had liquid stains, as if it needed to be mopped. The shower cleanliness was not optimal where we wanted to shower, so we passed on that.

Rooms need a decent clean. This was my second time staying and I feel it’s deteriorated since the first time. More blankets on the bed would be good as it got very cold. The shower needed a good scrub and the heat pump remote is covered in a sort of adhesive residue. There was also hair left on the pillows on the bed which didn’t give me alot of comfort. Not sure if I would choose again unfortunately

no breakfast. location is Ok handy to the shops and beach motor way connection is close by. The shower had good water pressure but there was Mould in the shower cubical.

The unit was grubby poor standard of cleanliness. tea coffee making supplies very poor with open tea bags (not individually wrapped but taken from a larger box) and placed in the tray with no idea how long they have been out in the open or how many people have handled them. The coffee and sugar where also unsanitary being jars that are topped up covered in fingerprints from who knows who same with the microwave wipe clean surfaces covered in fingerprints. The inside of drawers covered with a film of dust and now suitable to put clean clothes.

Ein absolut verdreckter Saustall. Bei der letzten Reinigung war wohl Joe Biden noch Präsident. Dicker Staub überall. Die Küche versifft. Der Kühlschrank dreckig. Das Geschirr dreckig. In einer Tasse war noch Kaffe von irgendeinem Vormieter. Was ein Staubsauger ist und wie der benutzt wird ist dort wohl nicht klar. Kein Personal vor Ort. Diese Unterkunft sollte geschlossen werden.

Location suited our purpose parking was good. liked the full length mirror. good sky channels. We appreciated having the ironing board and iron delivered to our room at such late notice.

Fridge wouldnt close, seating around table was dangerous and not user friendly, raised beds were uncomfortable and dangerous, aircon inadequate and needed repairs, curtains needed some attention, whole place is in need of a deep clean.

Location perfect for what we were doing at that time. The one staff member we interacted with couldn't wait to get away after checkin so she was passable. No further discussion was had regarding anything no hospitality given. Found out the next day the washing machine was not working which for a stay of 5 days was a real hassle and an unexpected extra cost to us.

Beds were a high step up to the mattress????? This was not clearly identified in the description. For the kuia I had with me I had to bring a step in for them to get into the bed. It needed a handle for older people to safely get up and out of the bed. One of them opted to sleep on the couch because it was too difficult to get up out of and to down onto the mattress. Funky and different decorations everywhere. Appreciate they were going for a theme but the decor was definitely subpar, most of it was unnecessary.

Was in a great location especially for where we needed to be in Papamoa, close to a plaza, supermarket etc. Two rooms which was great, and nice private courtyard. Great parking. The staff member that met us at reception was really lovely.

Unfortunately it did need a bit of a deep clean, which let the unit down. Furniture was a bit run down in our unit, and for the price a few small touches would make it feel a bit more like you where getting what you are paying for.

Good price and location was fine. Quiet but we were right down the end.

Was a little dirty. Crumbs on the toaster, microwave splatted by something and bed seemed to have been made in a hurry. Sheets were clean.
