Location and room
This room was booked for my son. He became violently ill during the night he stayed over, and I sped to his assistance to fetch him to take to a doctor. We asked reception for another 2 hours so we, as parents, could arrive and take him away. We were more than willing to pay a pro rata rate but were charged the full amount for another night's stay. Two years ago, I also dealt with this hotel's lack of ubuntu or mensh or humanity, whatever you call human decency: a terrible storm hit Cape Town, and the pass over Franschhoek was closed. I called the hotel to ask if I could postpone my booking by two days, until the road reopened. They denied my request, and I had to pay full price again. Both times, the staff were unwilling to help; it was out of season, and they wouldn't have incurred any financial loss. The greediness and lack of compassion leave a bitter taste.
My home away from home
Nothing, all good.
Clean and friendly staff
City lodge needs to provide us with mini fridges atleast. It's very inconvenient without a fridge.
Super functional for a business stay-over
Lack of a lift
Room not ready when I checked in - had to wait till 15:30 for the room to be ready.
Room not ready when I arrived, had to wait till 15hrs30 to check in
Friendly staff. Food at the Cafe.
Location. My meetings were in the CBD. TERRIBLE TRAFFIC!!
I asked fir a refund and didn't get it
All our expectations were met staff very helpful and friendly
Clean
Clean and space
I enjoyed the breakfast.
No water provided in the room for coffee or tea.
The wifi connection was very bad at times
The staff friendliness was supeb. I loved the variety of options for the breakfast. A big shout out to a lady named Sade at the reception, she really made our first time arrival at the hotel very welcoming.
I didn’t like how untidy the general toilet was (The one next to the reception). I used it about 3 times, and all the times the entire bathroom was found not clean and not smelling fresh. More rounds for checks by the housekeeping team is highly recommended.
Fridge in the rooms. Variety of still water
There was only one type of still water. No fridge in the room.
Everything was per advertising.
Great place for our overnight stay before travelling onward from Cape Town to Swopakmund, Namibia. Safe and secure and a choice of 2 places to eat. Excellent value in the Pinelands restaurant for the curry special with wine included. Breakfast buffet had a lot of choice.
As usual friendly staff Very clean place. Food was fantastic. Safe parking.
It is safe
The carpets and bed of poor standard
非常安全,交通方便,环境优美,度假风格
Ontbijt heel verzorgd! Veel keuze!
Geen lift.
Breakfast spread was very adequate. Thank You, perhaps just use better quality of eggs, brighter healthier, in the breakfast. Co located with the Cattle Baron, awesome variation.
Staff are very friendly and willing to help.
Staff are super friendly!
Very dissatisfied on the overall quality of the facility - my room was freezing due to a broken zircon unit - no phones in the room, so contact with reception late at night not that easy. No easy way to bill tot he room - unless you have a voucher it is payment per transaction. pool was covered in leaves - almost took a photo it was so standout.
Pinelands City Lodge is a convenient overnight stay if arriving at the airport late evening. The room size is comfortable and the rooms are quite soundproof. The towels and bedding are quality and clean and basic toiletries are available. The breakfast is good value for money.
Nice spacious comfortable room with lovely bath and shower. Dinners were great and staff were friendly and helpful. Nice steakhouse on the property as an alternative. Lovely pool area overlooking the golf course. Adequate gym facilities available. Excellent location just off the highway, close to facilities in Pinelands and near the Vincent Pallotti hospital if you are visiting a patient. Lovely view of the mountains when you walk out of the front entrance. I have stayed twice and would return.
A small fridge would be useful and the TV package is abit limited but other than that my stay was extremely comfortable.
Please, please change the pillows they are terrible
Very friendly staff. Comfortable accommodation. Not noisy.
The Great porter support by wheelchair to and from
Nothing
Very central location, friendly staff. Rooms were lovely and private
Due to work emergency I wasn't able to stay over night, so my star way short. If there were discounted pricing for shorter stays that would be welcomed, however I do realise price might have been inflated due the two oceans marathon event over the weekend.
Reasonable room, good location, good hotel facilities, good staff
Blocked drainage, basin.
Freshly made

Location
Noisy - can hear all going on in the toilet in next door room
Close location to Vincent Pallotti hospital. Easy walking distance.
Traffic noise from the highway all night. No elevator to lower level. Difficult to carry suitcases down stairs.
It suited our needs in more ways than one (Location/Comfort/Friendliness etc)
More milk in room for coffee,Drinking water in room, more hand soap require
L’emplacement est see sécurisé avec plusieurs barrières de sécurité pour y accéder
Le professionnalisme du staff, t la propriété des lieux
Lovely location, close to shops.
It’s very central to everything in Cape Town. Rooms are great and has all the facilities we need.
Frühstück in Buffetform, Eierspeisen wurden frisch gemacht 👍
Zimmer zur Straße hin etwas dunkel
The staff isn't that friendly or has customer relations
L’emplacement et le calme
Tout était bon pour moi
Big bedroom comfy bed...staff kind, there is a swimming pool
No lift.... My room on 1st floor..I am elderly and had a big case my room not ready at 4pm.though check in at 3pm.. left luggage in office as advised ...went to explore hotel and a different reception on dèsk wouldnt let me take it...It was sorted when i got my key but due to delay of getting my room I was late for an appointment as I had to rush and change.
Location was proper for what I came to Cape Town for.

Clean, neat , easy accessible
Maybe there needs to be vending machine for juice or drinks when you need one garage is abit far
The tranquility, and small crowd...
Good selection of cereals, fruit and yoghurt. Bread choices and savoury topping. Didn't need the cooked option. Bed comfotable.
Room layout was a bit awkward. No in room luggage rack other than desk or bed.
Convenience
Not accessible for wheelchair to pool area
The rooms are very clean and pretty spacious, the staff were lovely and it is located pretty central to the places I needed to visit.
I think the rooms could be fitted with a microwave, cutlery and crockery. Additionally, thankfully I only had a carry on bag because there were only stairs up to the room and it would be hard for someone with disabilities, the elderly or someone with heavy luggage.
Excellent location because it is close to the N2. Good service and friendly staff.
I love staying at this City Lodge, the staff are great, the food is always good and its so convenient to travel to and from for CTN work
Bigger TV and fridges in the rooms
I loved the welcoming and helpful staff. The food is excellent! The bed and pillows are comfortable. It was very close to Red Cross Children's Hospital, which was the reason for our visit.
Excellent location.
Shuttle service not provided.

Clean. Nice bed. Decent room size.
Unpleasant smells - not sure what from - perhaps the carpets. The free WiFi is terrible. I could not do anything aside from sending or receiving emails on it. I stayed for 4 nights, and of the 4, 2 of them were very noisy between 10 and 12 PM due to noisy guests. The staff did absolutely nothing about the noise...
We did not eat breakfast at the hotel but it looked very good. The room was clean and comfortable. It was in a very central location for our needs. The view onto the golf course next door was great. The parking easily accessible and parking bays plentiful. The restaurant on site was wonderful - real South African steak house
No porter service was offered to us. No lift and we had to haul our bags up and down two floors via the stairs. Bar and drinks service in the evening was a little slow and disorganised. We had no other complaints.
Good location. Easy checkin and good breakfast option. Requested a slightly later check out of 12noon which was sorted with no problem or charge.
Very hard bed. Horrible vibration/humming in the building which sounds like an internal ventilation system but meant I could not sleep very well at all.
