The facility is good and the rooms very clean

The staff are not friendly at all, from the onset, not inviting and not inspiring. The failure to provide complimentary water was for me a deal breaker- I would not want to stay there again.

There was some noise the evening of the Saturday had to call twice to reception as there was some boys fees room down that was make very loud noise

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Garden Court Hotel on Nelson Mandela Boulevard in Cape Town. From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, the service was exceptional. The check-in process was quick and seamless, and a special thank you to the friendly gentleman at reception who kindly assisted us with our luggage all the way to our room, even though there were no porters available. That level of service did not go unnoticed. A heartfelt thank you to the amazing Roshaan and Nikita for going the extra mile to make my nephew's birthday so special and memorable. Your thoughtfulness and kindness made his day, and we truly appreciate everything you did. A special mention also goes to Sonia from housekeeping, who greeted us every day with a warm smile and such a friendly attitude. Our room was spotless every day, with fresh towels, toiletries, and tea, coffee, milk, and sugar replenished daily. It was always a pleasure returning to such a clean and welcoming room. Breakfast was delicious each morning, with a good selection available. We do have one small suggestion for future consideration: it would be wonderful if the hotel could include a few halal non-vegetarian breakfast options for Muslim guests, as this would offer greater variety and make the experience even more enjoyable. The pool area and gym were always clean, neat, and well maintained, which added to the overall comfort of our stay. Thank you to every member of staff for your outstanding hospitality, professionalism, and friendliness. You all played a part in making our holiday so enjoyable. We highly recommend Garden Court Hotel on Nelson Mandela Boulevard and will definitely look forward to staying here again when we visit Cape Town.

Its clean and quiet

The TV in my room didnt have a channel for kids for some strange reason. The towels in the bathrooms are too small. Theres no fridge in the room, very inconvenient

The breakfast was okay. The location is good and we were given a good room facing the ocean.

Dinner - particularly curry, chicken. I suggest improvement to meet the standard of other Garden Court Hotels like the Marine Parade in Durban.

Toilet was not cleaned properly at my unit 611 on arrival and reported, and the valve between shower and bad water did not work during the whole stay

The staff, we misplaced a ring and upon leaving the hotel we asked the receptionist to tell the cleaners to please look for it and let us know, surprisingly while waiting for the uber, the receptionist told us one of the cleaners found it, now this is worrying because we were there for 2 nights, why didn’t she find the ring and put it on the desk just as the other stuff she found in the room, instead she kept the ring and waited for us to leave then when the receptionists asked her about it, she then “found it” not only did she do that, she said was loudly speaking to her colleagues saying we accused her of stealing? Mind you, we spoke to the receptionists and they were nice and we both had a very calm conversation? Why was the cleaner so defensive and quick to react? It’s very weird and suspicious???

1. Curtains to the room were dirty and not ironed. 2. I requested laundry it stayed for 2 days without being picked done. Not even one note or communication from house keeping to say maybe I’ve done it incorrectly. 3. Lack of proper information book for little things if need assistance. Everything requires you to ask someone. 4. I was wowed by the fact that the hotel doesn’t even offer courtesy water. I’ve stayed in southern sun hotels (resorts; garden court and even your 5 stars) first time not to get water.

The locationnwas excellent, the lifts were quick and functional, reception staff were excellent.

The room was not ready at 14h05, and it took another 25 minutes to track the shift supervisor to clear things up. The fittings in the room were aged (broken drawers, cracked hair dryers, remote control batteries were flat, coffee and tea supplies were odd (only 1 rooibos teabag, stale coffee pouches, the wardrobe doors did not close properly, the plastic safe handle was broken, carpets felt sandy not clean, towels were rough with age), and despite indication that the room would have air conditioning / heating, there was none. Having stayed in the hotel before, I was a bit shocked at its physical decline, despite excellent staff. Meagre toiletries (soap, shampoo, shower cap, tissues). Corridor was also very dimly lit, with several bulbs blown. Some lights in the room also did not work.

When we came there it was smelling in the room Key card didn't want to work after second try Pollows was hard It wasn't far from the place but we couldn't walk there I asked for a hdmi cable, they had but I couldn't use it Outdate television Can't trust that your belongings will be safe.

I enjoyed the breakfast

The breakfast variety was good. Generally quiet. Liked the fact that there is a gym as well.

Generally quiet but we had a hockey team in the hotel during our stay, and they were noisy at times.

I liked that the balcony was accessible.

Only problem is that the gps takes me to the side of the building and it’s all one ways around so I had to go around the block.

Location is close to the Cape Town international Airport. Staff was available for late check in.

Breakfast was great. My partner was unable to attend one day as our baby was not well. One guy suggested I dish up and take it to the room when im done. The next assistant said he will organise it to no avail. I then had to call to check up, the lady said they are still preparing it only to find a pack far off from the amount per person.

1.Confusion regarding breakfast upon checking in. 2. Room service took over an hour day 1(Friday). When I asked, the gent dismissed me by saying he doesn't know he was on lunch ( bad attitude). Day 2 (Saturday) Ordered dinner at around 16:45, got a call at 17:20 saying I must collect my food, I asked to bring it up to the room, I was told only after 17:30 do they do room service. I agreed and said then bring it after 17:30 of which it was brought immediately, felt like they tried being funny? Sunday morning went for breakfast and was told my booking is only for a room, holding up guests when I was fully aware I paid R840 when I checked in.
