Breakfast was amazing!! Family was very sweet too. Location was good, close to main street but its a walk up the hill (very short).

It’s really a hideaway place from main area. You have to go up the slope but you feel relaxed welcoming by the host family. I had a great time with them, especially lovely boy, Eshan was my favorite. You will get to see real local people’s life and get to know them is a gem experience. Sasanka is the one who makes everything better. He is very detailed and makes sure everything is alright. I appreciate you always replied me quickly and took care of my stay. The room is clean and host mom brings wifi router to the room so you don’t have to worry about the internet. I had to work so it was great for me. Also delicious breakfast is must try.

Just one thing to note: the hot water only goes up to around 30°C, so it might not feel warm enough during the cooler season.

Super lief en warm gezin wat de homestray runt. Je kwam niks te kort en kreeg in de ochtend een heerlijk ontbijt. De kamer was heel erg ruim en schoon. De badkamer was ook schoon en er was warm water bij de douche.

Die Familie, die die Unterkunft betreibt, ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man hat sich direkt sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Gastgeber haben uns auch dabei geholfen, unsere Wäsche waschen zu lassen. Sie können zwar nichts dafür, aber leider wurden bei uns Kleidungsstücke gebügelt, die nicht hätten gebügelt werden dürfen. Die Lage ist auch optimal: Nicht direkt im Zentrum, sodass es nachts laut wäre, aber auch nicht zu weit entfernt, als das man nicht mal eben kurz ins Zentrum gehen könnte. Es gibt zwar eine kleine Steigung auf dem Weg zur Unterkunft, aber das hat man bei den meisten Unterkünften in Ella. Das Zimmer (Dreibettzimmer mit Bergblick) war sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Durch die zwei großen Glastüren scheint viel Licht ins Zimmer und man hat vom Bett aus eine schöne Aussicht auf den Ella Rock.

Amazing views, great service, the breakfast was absolutely amazing. Like it filled us up all day! There is a laundry service 2 mins away. An easy walk into town also.

sehr sehr herzliche und hilfsbereite Besitzer!! Meine Freundin hatte Geburtstag und dafür wurde eine kleine Torte und Tee organisiert. Wir haben uns echt sehr gefreut. Wir haben auch ein reichlich großes und gutes regionales Frühstück bekommen. Nicht weit entfernt vom Zentrum und Zimmer und Bad sind gut.

คุณลุงคุณป้าใจดีมากๆ สะอาดมากและห้องใหม่ ห้องน้ำมีสายชำระ มีไดร์เป่าผม อาหารเช้าให้เยอะจนกินไม่หมด นั่งกินอาหารเช้าไปด้วยดูนกดูกระรอกไปด้วย สงบดีและมีความสุขมาก เดินไปป้ายรถบัสได้10นาทีเอง สะดวกสุดๆ

-มีคอมเมนต์ว่ามียุงเข้าห้องได้จากรูระบายอากาศ แต่เห็นว่ามีการติดตั้งตาข่ายกันแมลงแล้ว ดังนั้นจึงไม่มีปัญหาเรื่องยุง แต่ถ้ากินขนมหรือาหารในห้องแล้ววางเอาไว้ อาจจะมีมดเข้ามาได้ ต้องระวังจุดนี้ -อย่าลืมว่าที่นี่มีแต่พัดลม แต่เนื่องจากEllaมีอากาศเย็น เราจึงไม่รู้สึกร้อนเลย

I really enjoyed my stay here the room was spacious and comfortable with a clean attached bathroom and hot water shower. The family were lovely and helpful. A short 5 minute stroll to the Main Street with all the restaurants was very convenient. I also easily walked to nine arch bridge and Little Adam’s peak from the Home Stay. I strongly recommend this Home Stay!!

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Wir haben nichts auszusetzen. Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön & die Gastgeber sind super herzlich. Bei der Ankunft haben wir Kaffee & Tee bekommen, was die Ankunft in Ella noch schöner gemacht hat. Ja, die Wohnung ist hellhörig aber so ist es überall in Sri Lanka & es hat uns überhaupt nicht gestört. Es gibt keinen AC aber es kühlt nachts sowieso sehr ab, weshalb das überhaupt nicht schlimm ist. Wir können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen! :)

Przyjazny i uczynny gospodarz. Dobre śniadanie. Lokalizacja blisko centrum, chociaż ostatni odcinek drogi jest dość stromy i wymagający.

Pokój był inny niż ten rezerwowany, dużo gorszy.

Wat een ontzettend fijn verblijf is dit! De familie is heel gastvrij en behulpzaam. Bij aankomst kreeg ik meteen thee met wat lekkers. Vanaf het terras heb je uitzicht op Ella Rock. Het ligt op een rustige locatie, maar alsnog op loopafstand van het centrum (middels een kleine klim). De kamers zijn ruim en de bedden zijn erg comfortabel!

The room was very nice. I loved waking up to the natural light and greenery all around. The shower had good hot water. The WiFi was great. Hospitality is AMAZING! The breakfast was delicious. The host did my laundry free of charge. I highly recommend staying here!

The stay is at the top of a big hill

De gastvrouw en gastheer zijn enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ligt op een prachtige locatie met uitzicht op Ella Rock. Laundry service is aan huis, mocht dat nodig zijn!

The view from the bacony was amazing! The room was spatious and neat, and the shower in the bathroom was amazing. The owners were really friendly as well, Each morning they made us an extensive breakfast, and were willing go help us whenever we needed them!

Ontbijt, locatie nabij het centrum, wel stukje klimmen maar is per voet prima te doen.

De eigenaren zijn heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamer was ruim, schoon en mooi. Goed ontbijt. De wifi werkte goed. De locatie is ook goed. Op loopafstand ben je in het stadje, maar de weg naar de homestay is wel heel stijl. De eigenaresse heeft ook nog onze was gedaan, wat wij heel prettig vonden.

Naast de kamer is er verder niets omheen bij de homestay (geen tuintje bijvoorbeeld). En we werden elke nacht wakker door straathonden die aan het blaffen waren met elkaar, maar daar kunnen de eigenaren van deze homestay natuurlijk niets aan doen. Verder was alles prima!

Dette sted kan kun anbefales. Stedet er relativt nyt, og ligger perfekt i forhold til Ella by og oplevelser i området. Værterne er så venlige og gjorde vores ophold i Ella til højdepunktet på hele vores tur. Jeg havde fødselsdag mens vi var der, hvor de lavede mad og havde købt kage til os. De hjalp os med at arrangere en tur til teplantage og madlavningskursus hos broren. Dette var helt fantastisk Vi følte os som en del af familien og samtidig var de gode til at respektere vores privatliv

Everything. The accommodation was great, the owers very friendly.

La chambre du haut est joliment décorée, propre, salle de bain propre avec eau chaude. Le point de vue est agréable.

Comme dans beaucoup d'endroits où nous sommes allé, c'est très bruyant, d'autant que les fenêtres sont conçues avec des perciennes ouvertes. Et les prières des moines à 5h du matin + le vacarme de la rue qui monte... ont a eu du mal à s'adapter. Faut oublier le confort discret à l'européenne quand vous logez proche d'un centre ville La chambre du bas n'a aucunes fenêtres et sent le renfermé.

Bella vista , buona colazione e stanza fantastica enorme bellissima letto comodo e tutto nuovo super pulito . I proprietari sono davvero carini .fare colazione sul tuo terrazzino privato con vista su ella rock è davvero bello .

We werden ontvangen door de zeer aardige hostin. Het appartement is net een maand opgeleverd, is super nieuw en van alle gemakken voorzien. Mooi uitzicht de vallei in. Wij pasten er met gemak (gezin met zoon van 17) in. Lekkere bedden. Het appartement ligt lekker rustig net buiten hectisch Ella. Heerlijk ontbijt.

We spent three nights at Little Hide away Guest home and were thoroughly impressed. The location is central yet wonderfully quiet, as the guesthouse is tucked away in a side street, well shielded from traffic noise. We stayed in the larger room as a group of three. It was recently renovated, spotlessly clean, and tastefully furnished. Each bed had a mosquito net and a comfortable mattress, we slept very well. The bathroom was modern, very clean, and equipped with everything you need. There was always hot water available, and even a hairdryer was provided. A highlight was the small private balcony where we could enjoy our breakfast each morning. The breakfast itself was lovingly prepared and especially convincing due to the fresh fruit selection. The hosts were incredibly warm and helpful. They were always available with advice and support, making our stay even more enjoyable. We felt completely at home and would come back anytime. Little Hide away Guest home is a place we can fully recommend!

The property was a close walk into town and also up a hill and away from the noise. The owners were the loveliest people so warm and inviting, always smiling and helpful. They helped us get tuk tuks and a private car to Arugam bay at very reasonable prices. Their hospitality was fantastic even with their language barrier and the Sri Lankan breakfast was our favourite so far on our trip. We highly recommend staying there.

The only down side was a damp smell in the room ven though it’s very ventilated and clean, however we would still stay with them if we had the chance.

Relaxed place on a good location. Away from the street, but close enough for walking everywhere within 10 mins. Owner was very welcoming and breakfast is tasty and great value for money.

Wifi was not very good, but that was not a big problem for us.

Everything was great. Where do I even start?! Best location, close to the centre but tucked away in a calm little street. The room was just beautiful, spacious, looked brand new. Came with its own terrace with a wonderful view of Ella Rock. This was the perfect place for breakfast, watching squirrels play in the surrounding trees. The breakfast was just amazing, diverse and very generous. But most of all, the host family was just to friendly, kind and welcoming. They helped with all my questions, my laundry etc. There are many accommodation options in Ella and it took me a long time to decide, but I couldn't have made a better choice. Warmly recommend!

Hosts were lovely and good on the communication. The room was lovely and brand new. Facilities and amenities were excellent and all in good working order. 5 minute stroll into the middle of Ella town. Beautiful view of Ella’s rock from bedroom. All in all, a fantastic stay and would certainly recommend.

To get to the property there is a 150m climb up a bit of a hill. Not unbearable for those fit but those with mobility issues should keep in mind as a tuk tuk would be needed to get in and out. However worth it for the view.

This place exceeded our expectations. The view is absolutely breathtaking – especially from the rooftop, where the owner kindly takes guests to enjoy the stunning mountain scenery. Breakfasts are generous and delicious, prepared with care and full of flavor. The room is equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay – a kettle, tea, WiFi, hairdryer, and more. There’s also a laundry service available on-site, which is a great convenience. The hosts are incredibly kind, helpful, and always open for a friendly conversation, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.

Although very close to Ella center, the property is located on top of a very steep road. The shower was not very hot.

This place has the nicest people you will ever deal with! I had to leave before 3AM in the morning for a tour, they woke up just for me and had my breakfast ready to go. It was super early and also still dark, the lady came to walk me to my bus, I had to insist she didn’t. To add to that at 10PM while trying out creams from a herbal garden the night before leaving I had a very bad reaction and they got me aloe vera from their garden, I don’t know what I would have done without them :) Place is also in the process of being very modernly renovated. I would 100% return!

The room felt a little damp but it is being renovated in the next few months, nothing that prevented me from sleeping.

The host and his family are very kind and helpful! Especially the breakfast was amazing!! The house is not far from the center. We enjoyed our stay in Ella very much and would recommend this GuestHouse to everyone!

Lovely family! Breakfast was outstanding.

The property is a small but steep walk (<5 min) that not many taxis dare to drive. Was no problem for us but maybe get a local tuktuk up if the walk is too hard with luggage.

It’s in a cute lovely home and garden and felt very safe. Bed was comfortable. Room was basic but fine. The family are so welcoming and lovely and the breakfast was 10/10 banquet.

Could do with a dehumidifier or some more ventilation in the room, a little damp in the bathroom.

We really want to thank the family, where we stayed. It was amazing, they are really nice people, hospitable, friendly and kind. We received great advice and information about Ella and sightseeing. Room was nice and clean, breakfast very tasty and always fresh. Also view from the top of the building very beautiful. We definitely recommend this accommodation 🙂

The hosting family was very welcoming. We were offered tea or coffee on our arrival. The room and bathroom have all the facilities we needed, were clean and cosy. Generous and tasty Sri Lankan breakfast, walking distance to the center of Ella. This is a freshly started homestay but definitely worth recommending!
