No cleaning bathrooms are broken, combod are small and not usuable at all, flush tank is broken, no bucket, no mug, no handwash

Reviewed Apr 10, 2026BAVA Beach Resort & Retreat Center Varkala is a wonderful peaceful location. It is very close to the beaches and each evening you can enjoy the sunset from the cliff. The manager and the whole staff is extraordinary friendly! You can completely relax and there are opportunities to practice Yoga! We definitely recommend a stay at BAVA! Thank you again for this wonderful stay and your smile!

Reviewed Sep 6, 2025not to many facilities nor much visibility of staff.. the were group Yoga sessions we saw. kettle in the room but no tea or coffee sachets in the room.. no food at all. Food was not far as the place is about 500 meters from the cliff overlooking the ocean.. which is the main drag where you can buy everything and many restaurants.
nothing really because we did not want for anything but that may not be the regular traveler.

La stanza nello stabile più vecchio era un po' meno curata. In ogni caso è stato un soggiorno molto piacevole. È situato in un luogo molto tranquillo e silenzioso nonostante sia letteralmente a due passi da tutti i negozi ed i ristoranti. Ottimo luogo per passeggiare in sicurezza anche nelle ore notturne. Consigliato.

The rooms looked like a dharamshala. No toiletries were provided. There was no laundry service and even the bedsheets weren’t clean, despite asking them to change they didn’t. The water taps were leaking.

Reviewed Mar 24, 2025The resort was excellent. Its very near to the north cliff. You can explore all the cliff shops even at late night and come back to rooms safely. The corrdinators were very friendly and helpful. Especially, Sanju(organizer) helped us really well. He has arranged us a rental bike even when we asked me at the last minute. Lot of foreigners were stayed along with us. Rooms were very neat and clean. I have attached the photos of the rooms and ambience. The price is not too high, its affordable only. Highly recommedable!

The two young boys working here Sekhar and Ashok were attentive to everything we needed and helped us have the best stay. They gave us good recommendations and took us to get cash when we needed. They were so kind and a highlight of our trip was meeting them. If you get a chance, please talk to them and get a chance to know them.

Reviewed Feb 23, 2025Beautiful, serene place, only a minute walk from the bustling Varkala Beach promenade. The room was spacious and very clean and I had a nice balcony overlooking the backyard. The people are very nice and friendly, both the staff and guests. Parts of the premises are rented to groups of yoga/Indian philosophy students so everyone always warmheartedly smiles to you, which gives this place a special flair.

Lots of tiny ants in the room, this seemed to be an issue in Varkala itself but it made the room feel unhygienic. Did alert staff but didn’t do anything really. Kettle had foul smell from it & cup was dirty in the room.
