Luxury welcome, quiet forest location as expected. Excellent restaurant doing super breakfast and à la carte dinner. Nice pool, super friendly staff. And the lodges, just superb!

Fabulous outdoor bathroom. Lovely spacious room big enough for three people. Attentive staff and an all round enjoyable tree house experience. Even the frogs who ended up in our toilet added to the experience!

Frogs in the toilet but helped that they were small and cute and nothing to be afraid of!

Tutto perfetto, sopratutto lo staff è stato davvero premuroso. Mi hanno fatto a sorpresa una torta per il mio compleanno (gratuita). La struttura è immersa nel verde con poche capanne ed una bellissima piscina. La colazione è stata la più buona delle due settimane in Sri Lanka. Cena a prezzi super onesti e buonissimo, ci tornerei!

Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour au Kaala resort. Parfait pour ceux qui souhaitent une déconnexion loin du bruit : la cabane est nichée dans les arbres au cœur de la forêt. Une belle salle de bain en pleine air. Les lits sont équipés de moustiquaires pour se protéger des petites bêtes de la forêt. La cuisine est vraiment excellente, nous recommandons leur rice & curry. Tout est fait à la demande donc parfois un peu d’attente mais ça vaut largement le coup ! Petit déjeuner également très bon. La piscine est magnifique en pleine nature. Le personnel la nettoie avant chacun de nos passages. Tout le staff est très gentil et nous a aidé dans nos déplacements. Même si l’hôtel est très à l’écart de la ville, avec l’application Pick Me aucun problème pour trouver un Tuktuk. Nous avons adoré notre séjour !!

L'hôtel a un charme incroyable avec ses grandes chambres qui sont autant de magnifiques cabanes dans les arbres. Excellent accueil et un service au top. Le restaurant et le petit-déjeuner sont excellents. Tout était parfait !

Geweldige “boomhut” van alle gemakken voorzien met een heerlijke buitendouche op de begane grond. Verder een heerlijk zwembad.

Het mist een beetje sfeer. Diner is in een wat steriele ruimte dat niet uitnodigt tot interactie. Onze boomhut was gebouwd rondom een boom die door het dak stak, maar die schuurde door de wind heel de nacht tegen het dak aan waardoor je steeds wakker schrok

Tout était parfait, merci beaucoup à toute l équipe. Les chambres sont très confortable propres. Le restaurant est de grande qualité avec des repas copieux et avec des prix très abordables pour un hôtel reculé. Tres belle organisation du manager et de toute son équipe. Une erreur c était produit à cause de Booking mais pas de l hotel suite à des échanges bienveillants une solution a été trouvée. Ils ont eu la délicatesse d offrir un beau gâteau d anniversaire à ma femme. Merci à toute l equipe. Vraiment un hotel à conseiller avec une équipe au service des clients

Ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Prachtige locatie midden in de natuur. Redelijk ver weg van centrum, maar juist de rust was erg fijn. Mooie huisjes!

Super schön gelegen im sekundären Regenwald. Die Anlage hat nur drei Häuser, also sehr überschaubar. Die Zimmer sind sehr komfortabel und alles sauber. En Suite Badezimmer plus grosses Outdoor Badezimmer unten. Große Terrasse. Essen ist gut. Der Pool ist super, Wasser Natürlich etwas warm. Nettes Team, sehr professionell.

Het personeel was geweldig! We werden hartelijk ontvangen en zijn niets tekort gekomen door de goede service van het personeel. De accomodatie was ook waanzinnig.

Prachtige boomhut villa midden in de natuur! Waanzinnig mooi resort, alles is net 3 jaar oud en het is prachtig gelegen omgeven door groen. De villa is van alles voorzien en voelt magisch! Het ontbijt is heel uitgebreid, met heerlijke pannenkoekjes, worstjes, ei, brood, fruit.. Het personeel zal mij altijd bij blijven, wij werden echt als prinsessen behandeld, backpacks werden naar de villa gebracht en gehaald. Toen we eerder aankwamen voor de inchecktijd, werden de badlakens voor ons klaargelegd bij het zwembad, daar was een ruimte waar we ons konden omkleden, douches en toiletten, ook brachten ze wat drinken en servies en bestek zodat we ons eten dat we meehadden konden eten. Het personeel is zo warm, lief en behulpzaam. Het legt je helemaal in de watten. Wat een top team! En die man achter de receptie.. inpakken, strik eromheen en meenemen. Wat een lieverd! Het zwembad is prachtig, midden in de natuur, heel sereen en ontspannen.

Het bed was voor mij wat aan de dunne/harde kant.

Everything! The resort and facilities were beautiful and the staff were fantastic. I highly recommend this place, it really is magical!

I wish we could stay longer!

Die ganze Anlage ist wunderschön, die Villen, besonders der Pool ist toll und abends auf der eigenen Terrasse entspannen, mitten in der Natur, das war herrlich. Das Personal war auch sehr nett.

Für „Luxury“ und „eco“ müssten meiner Meinung nach noch ein paar Dinge verbessert werden: - Wasser in Glasflaschen statt Plastikflaschen - in den Zimmern gab es keine Gläser, Duschlotion oder Föhn, es gab auch nur 2 große Handtücher, keine kleinen für neben die Waschbecken - das ungenutzte Bett und Babybett standen mit nackter Matratze im Zimmer, besser hätte es gewirkt, wären diese abgedeckt gewesen - das Personal war sehr freundlich , aber noch recht unerfahren, so gab es Infos zur Anlage oder Kaffee zum Frühstück (an beiden Tagen) erst auf Nachfrage - das Restaurant ist sehr karg eingerichtet, nicht sehr einladend Das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau, aber bei dem Preis könnte man hier noch nachbessern.

Un rêve d'enfant. Une cabane toute équipée confort dans la jungle au milieu des oiseaux et des singes. Une douche extérieure incroyable, une piscine dans la jungle. Une equipe adorable et aux petits soins. Une excellente cuisine a tarif très correct... Que du bonheur.

Un petit souci de clim non réglable au niveau soufflerie que les propriétaires auront du déjà réglé.

This place has a really nice feel to it. Well designed tree house in very peaceful location. The food was excellent and the manager arranged a tuk tuk for us to visit the sites of Anuradhapura and surrounds. The staff here are excellent, without being subservient. The swimming pool is spotless. We heard an owl in the tree above us at night, and there’s lots of butterflies and squirrels. We stayed for two nights and highly recommend this place.

Absolutly nothing to complain about.

Very nice tree house, clean and super comfortable. 2 different toilet, 1 in the room and one outside with an amazing open shower. The staff was very kind.

La cabane etait tres confortable ..grande chambre..terrasse ...salle de bain avec douche massage . Tous les matériaux bois ou pierre etaient élégants et rustiques à la fois.. Et la nature omni.présente....chants des oiseaux ...un vrai eco lodge ..avec une nourriture de grande qualité et un.service impeccable..seul bémol...un peu loin des sites à visiter .

L’environnement est magnifique, au milieu des arbres. Superbe piscine. Le rice&curry ainsi que le petit déjeuner étaient délicieux. Le staff s’est vraiment démené pour nous du début à la fin.

Légèrement bruyant la nuit pour les « light sleepers » de par son emplacement en plein milieu de la nature. Il ne faut pas avoir peur des petites bêtes.

Fairy tale property in the heart of nature. Just three exquisitely beautiful tree houses floating in a canopy of trees. Being shown the room on arrival a serene experience. The whole property exudes serenity. (Fourth under construction…) Wonderfully attentive staff. A beautifully designed base from which to explore the ancient city of Anuradhapura. 🪷🕉️🙏🏻

Service around the pool non-existent. Not even a phone to call for service. Food around the pool took over an hour to come… despite us being the only guests. Having only been on Sri Lanka for three or four days, perhaps we were not yet on island time. Don’t be fooled by the faux bar… it’s dressed with empty spirit bottles they don’t actually offer for sale. That said, they did serve cold beers… a welcome relief in the tropical heat.

The staff, particularly Sampath was wonderful. We were warmly welcomed and treated with great care. They made our stay a memorable experience. Thank you to Sampath and the rest of the crew. Rooms were clean & comfortable and the food was very good. Beautiful haven in the midst of the Anuradhapura city choas.

We had a wonderful stay at this small and unique hotel in Sri Lanka, with only three beautiful treehouses that made the experience feel very special and peaceful. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. Surrounded by nature, the location in the forest is simply stunning. The team also organized a great tour and our transfer to the next hotel, which made everything easy and stress-free. We stayed for three nights and were very happy—highly recommended!

- La piscine est très bien, assez éloignée de l'accueil de l'hôtel, pour plus d'intimité. - Le petit déjeuné était le meilleur et le plus copieux de tous ceux mangés durant notre séjour au Sri Lanka - Personnel gentil, agréable.

- Le rapport qualité prix n'y est pas. pour plus de 100 euros la nuit, au Sri Lanka, nous avons plus d'attentes et d'exigences et malheureusement l'hôtel n'est pas à la hauteur. - La chambre est peu éclairée. Cela est confortable le matin pour ne pas être réveillé, ça l'est moins en journée et le soir. - Il n'y avait qu'une seule moustiquaire pour 2 lits. - Le réfrigérateur était très sale. - Il y avait de la musique tous les soirs (voisinage). - Le robinet de notre salle de bain fuit. - Chambre rustique, sommaire. - Il a avait beaucoup d'animaux dans la chambre, ce qui est compréhensible. Mais nous aurions aimé que le ménage soit fait tous les jours et les draps changés tous les jours. En effet, il avait beaucoup d'excrèmments d'animaux sur les draps, le sol. - Du spray anti moustique au niveau de la salle de restauration pourrait être une chose à mettre en place. - La salle de bain est très jolie, mais comme elle est en extérieur, nous n'avons pas pu en profiter à cause des moustiques.

The tree house cabinas are charming, comfortable and clean. Swimming pool is lovely and surrounding natural forest was a pleasure. The staff are delightful and always keen to please.

Tbh, the food was not great and there are no other nearby options…so we were a bit stuck.

Super relaxing, very nice staff and clean facilities

There is only one place to eat - with them - but the quality of the food was not very good. Sri lankan dishes are fine, but the european options ons the menu, including western breakfast, did not taste good in our opinion.

Mitten im Wald gelegende Unterkunft ( 3 Einheiten). Toller Pool. Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin.

Zoek je rust (omgeving) en ontspanning (zwembad) op een speciale plek (comfortabele boomhut), dan moet je dit boeken. De gastvrouw regelt ook super alle trips en uitstapjes vervoer. Voor ons was dit een perfecte plek om Anuradhapura te ontdekken.

We loved our stay at Kaala, the staff were brilliant and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The food was excellent, the tree house was beautiful and the jungle setting is peaceful and secluded. The team organised transport for visiting the sites so if was easy to get around. I would stay here again in a heartbeat

A recommander sans modération ! Personnel très attentionné, très dépaysant, propre, un chalet en pleine forêt tout confort.

Le calme du lieu hors du temps et un personnel très accueillant en particulier avec nos 2 enfants de 5 et 10 ans. La nourriture est très bonne tout le staff est à l écoute, vraiment un super moment !

It was exceptional. The staff was professional and attentive and made us feel very welcome. The whole resort was clean, spacious and beautifully designed. It's located in a small forest with butterflies, pheasants, a variety of wild birds and cute chickens. You can take a walk, play badminton, go to the nearby lake or visit the temples in anuradhapura or mihintale - it's very close. The hosts can arrange tours as well - we went to Anuradhapura with a guide and it was very fun and a fair price. Also the food: try the Sri Lankan breakfast it's delicious! We loved the tree house - it was so relaxing when it was rainy. They even offered room service. :) long story short - a must stay. Ps: please note that there is nature around. It's a tree house in a jungle-like forest. There are occasionally frogs and other visitors on your terrace. We loved it though.

We hadden een luxe boomhut geboekt, alleen op het laatste moment werd de accommodatie geannuleerd en werden we overgeboekt naar een andere hotel (zelfde eigenaar). Dit hotel zouden we zelf nooit hebben geboekt, was niet schoon. Personeel was wel heel aardig en vriendelijk, voor één nacht was het prima.

The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. They made sure we had the best possible experience. The resort is gorgeous and it’s located in a beautiful area, where your only neighbors are the animals and trees. If you’re looking for an accessible, comfortable “treehouse experience”, this is it! Also the cook is really great, make sure to try the Sri Lankan breakfast. Pool was clean and combined with some lion lagers make for a great moment of relaxation after a busy day in Anuradhapura.

Les photos représentent mal la qualité du logement. Nous avons été très surpris de la qualité et du confort de la cabane. De plus l’endroit est très zen et tout est fait pour se sentir bien. Le terrain de badminton est un vrai plus !

Préférez les petits déjeuners sri lankais aux continentaux qui sont bien meilleurs !

La sensación de estar en el medio de la jungla fue súper genial , la decoración , cómoda habitación , buena comida , la atención fue buena y bastante informativa acerca de lugares turísticos . Disfrutamos mucho la piscina.

We had a great time at the resort - loved the very comfortable tree house and the super nice and helpful staff. Food was delicious and we saw many different animals in the forest. Highly recommended for nature lovers in a high quality surrounding.

It magical, up in the trees with the noises of the forest. We loved the outdoor shower and the amenities at the hotel.

I think a small shop onsite for snacks would be good.

Excellent hotel Located in nature But still everything is very clean and tidy. The rooms are beautiful, clean, loud, excellent air conditioning. The pool is really good, located in nature And feels like a spring. The food is excellent. The staff is really good. We stayed in 3 hotels in the city and this is the best hotel by far. A great place for children. Highly recommended for those who want to be in a beautiful place in nature and close to all the historical sites. We had a great experience, highly recommend.

These are beautiful, modern treehouses off the beaten path (about 20 minutes from Anuradhapura). They are spacious, have bathrooms upstairs and down (which are lovely). The property has a lovely pool to relax. And the food for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner was absolutely delicious.

The first night we were the only guests and, while it sometimes is unavoidable, it was just a weird feeling. Also, we had a problem with our room the first night and, honestly, there was no one who was prepared to help us and the staff there really didn’t know how to handle it (meaning hospitality training of the “the guest is always right” wasn’t there.) They eventually moved us to a different room which although an inconvenience turned out to be fine. And to that point, we sat at the pool all day the first and not once did someone come and ask us if we would like to order a drink or something. Which for this level of hotel, should be a given and we were the only ones there. Finally, switched to tea as the coffee tasted instant. Again, for this level of hotel, wish it was the delicious Sri Lankan brewed.

Fabulous place to stay. A few kilometres out of town which meant it really feels like being in the jungle - saw a mongoose and civit right by our villa, as well as lots of interesting birds. The Villa was really comfortable and very private - not in sight of any other villa - and there was a lovely balcony as well as both an outdoor bathroom and en-suite one, so best of both worlds. The food was very good - generous breakfast included and evening meal very reasonably priced for a place of this quality. Above all the manager, Sameera was lovely and super-helpful; arranged a couple of trips for us and even presented us with a cake on our anniversary. We’ve stayed in lots of beautiful places in Sri Lanka but this was my absolute favourite.

My wife and I spent two delightful nights at this enchanted resort. Sameera was a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble for him. Breakfast and dinner were delicious especially when eaten al fresco. The tree-top accommodation was well appointed and charming. Going to sleep at night was blissful listening to the sounds of the forest. Chilling out here is so easy, but book early as there are currently only three lodges. Highly recommended.
