Hotel Bella Vista

Location is a bit far from Poona nagara.

The property poorly managed. There was a water motor always make noise which kept me awake whole Night. I had to make requests to turn it off over night.

Good centrally located hotel with nice air con rooms

Bar stocks were limited so if you want beer etc you need to give advanced notice.

Enorme familiekamer. Gastvrije ontvangst. Uitgebreid lekker ontbijt.

Super vriendelijk personeel! Heel behulpzaam en konden ook de Wilpattu Safari regelen voor ons! De kamer was ruim en een heerlijk zwembad. Verder kon je ook poolen en dat was ook heel leuk!

De badkamer leek niet heel schoon.

Wat minder buitenruimte, waardoor ontbijt alleen binnen kon.

Verkoelend mooi zwembad. Lekker ontbijt. Lokatie is ook prima, rustig en met de tuktukben je zo bij Sunny bikes waar je je fietsen kan huren om de oude stad te bezoeken.

De kamer was een famimiekamer maar bleek dat er twee bedden op een soort zoldertje stonden en daar was het erg heet. Geen werkende airco. We kregen gelukkig een kamer die vrij was daarom erbij waar we veel geluk aan hadden. Als het hotel vol had gezeten had het wel heel vervelend geweest maar nu dus fijn opgelost.

De ligging is er goed centraal, vlakbij leuke horeca.

De kamers zijn wat verouderd. Wij hebben daar geen hinder van ervaren.

We had a wonderful stay in the Deluxe King Studio! The room was spacious, spotless, and perfect for our family. The staff provided truly exceptional service and went above and beyond for us. A huge highlight was the pool table located right next to our room, which the kids absolutely loved.

The upstairs loft area stayed a bit too warm due to the A/C not quite reaching it, (there was a seperate Evaporative Air Cooler in loft, but it wasn't effective as A/C) so all three kids ended up sharing the King bed downstairs. Since they love sleeping together on holiday anyway, it wasn't an issue for us at all. We highly recommend this property!

We begrijpen niet waarom dit hotel zo’n hoge score heeft. De kamers waren groot en oké qua faciliteiten, maar niet hygiënisch. De badkamer stonk en er liepen kakkerlakken. Daarnaast stond het water in het zwembad te laag, het werd niet gefilterd en de was van het personeel hing bij het zwembad. Naast het hotel werden spullen verbrand waardoor we de hele tijd in de rook zaten. Verder hebben we hier gegeten, maar we kregen niet wat we hadden besteld en het was niet lekker. Teleurstellend

L’hôtel semble à l’abandon. Nous étions les seuls clients. Ils nous avaient préparé une chambre double alors que nous avions booké une chambre triple. Ils ont donc préparé une autre chambre un peu en urgence. Le menage n’était vraiment pas top et les draps sentaient mauvais. Nous nous sommes demandés s’ils étaient propres. L’espace extérieur avec la piscine est vraiment laissé dans son jus. Avec des caleçons qui sèchent, des serviettes sales qui traînent et des serpillières. Il y avaient aussi des draps sales qui trainaient au niveau du « bar ». La première chambre semblait plus propre.

Staff was very helpful, respectful. When we had an issue with hot water, Close to places we wanted to go. Had an issue with hot water, however the lady ( manager/owner) let us use the showers in The room next door. (It was too how for hot showers anyway)

The door did not close properly. And someone opened it from outside by mistake middle of the night. The shower cubicle leaks. A constant noise of some pump running on and off during the night. Only one of the ten or so plug points actually worked. We did not have hot water as the heater was broken.

The place is in need of some serious maintenance. A water pump kept stopping and starting all night which was very noisy and kept us awake. Many of the facilities listed in their listing were missing. I think cleanliness needs improvement. English Breakfast was memorable for all the wrong reasons.

The pool was very clean and a welcome relief after being in the heat all day. The breakfast chef was very good and the staff went out of their way to look after us. It was a fair walk to town but a simple tuk tuk ride to experience a restaurant. We also had dinner at the hotel at very short notice and they happily accommodated us. We got sweets for new year.

Like all hotels the TV requires you are a member of Dialog. Of course as a tourist we were not so no TV.

Quite a price difference between the on site price and booking (booking much cheaper), quite a present sound of a ?generator/pump in our room switching on and off.

Nous avons réservé à la dernière minute - nous avons booké devant la porte à 18h30 - et avons été accueillis sans hésitation et avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Les chambres ont été prêtes en 10 minutes. Nous avons ensuite dû revoir notre programme et l'équipe a tout mis en oeuvre pour nous accompagner. Les chambres sont spacieuses et fraiches, un petit nécessaire pour faire du thé et du café ainsi qu'un frigo sont très appréciables. Celles qui ont vue sur piscine ont un petit plus. L'hotel dispose aussi d'un billard, parfait pour se détendre en famille. Les petits déjeuners sont tres copieux et ont été servis à l'heure que nous avions demandé, assez tôt pour profiter ensuite de la visite des sites archéologiques. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la grande gentillesse de toute l'équipe. L'hôtel propose un intermédiaire pour la location de vélo mais un loueur très bien se trouve juste à l'angle de la rue.

La nourriture est abondante mais sans être excellente, sauf le petit déjeuner Sri Lankais, vraiment délicieux. Les chambres sont simples et propres, mais un peu chères pour la qualité de la prestation.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt im Bella Vista. Besonders die Angestellten waren sehr herzlich, haben uns wie zuhause fühlen lassen und waren für Fragen immer ansprechbar. Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet und sauber. Das Frühstück war lecker. Wir können das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen!

Tad bit too pricey but nothing to complain on it. One of the rooms inside the main room didn’t have a proper lock on it; didn’t matter much regardless.

De kamer was erg ruim en het personeel was exceptioneel vriendelijk en lief. Lekker zwembad, ook al hebben we hier door het slechte weer nauwelijks gebruik van gemaakt. Het ontbijt was ook erg lekker. Het zit een beetje verstopt waardoor taxi’s het niet altijd konden vinden.

de eerste kamer zoals geboekt, rook heel erg naar vocht en dit was ook te zien aan de verschilferde muren. We kregen een nieuwe grotere kamer toegewezen in het ‘hoofdgebouw’ welke wel goed geventileerd lijkt te zijn! De locatie is niet direct bij restaurants maar met pickme makkelijk te komen.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff are super helpful and very nice. They helped organise a special birthday for my husband and ordered a cake which was lovely. Nice pool. They also organised a tuk tuk to take us to the old city. Breakfast is nice and included in the price. Would recommend.

The one thing that wasn’t good was that I’d informed several members of staff that my husband was allergic to bananas. Unfortunately pretty much every day bananas appeared on his breakfast. I would urge the hotel to undertake some staff training regarding allergies as they can be very serious.

The staff were very kind and friendly. The triple room was spacious, the pool small but welcoming to cool down. Breakfast too was lovely. We opted for Sri Lankan and it was very good.

Worst Accommodation I have ever experienced. The first room (first three pictures) was dirty and as clearly seen not properly cleaned since quite some time. Worst thing we had termites at the hea dof our bed which was annoying during night due to the noise and in the morning we saw termite droplets on our pillows! So we received another room for the second night after pushing. Second room was even worse. Even tough it was cleaner in the bathroom there was a huge fungus in the bathroom corner due to leakage during rain. Worse part was that during a rainy evening the water came thought he wall. After just 25 min our passport and electronically devices on the nightstand were wet (see pictures) mold was clearly visible on the wet walls. Not just disgusting but also a health risk. After complaining they offered 10% discount on the room. What a joke! In the end they gave us 15%. Still a joke but all they were willing to give. For me this hotel was a scam. Nothing else.

Wauw! This hotel is really worth for your money. The room is amazing and very clean. Big bed, which we love. Cute small balcony and nice working shower. The garden with swimming pool is amazing and ordering beers at the bar as well. The breakfast was insane!! It was too good. We have had the Sri Lankan and the western and both were delicious. Good parking spot for our tuktuk. Moreover, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Ruime kamers met grote en comfortabele bedden. Airco was goed. Er lagen ook handdoek handdoeken het zwembad. Mensen waren heel vriendelijk.

De ligging i.v.m. restaurants in de buurt. Het Europese eten viel tegen en de porties waren erg veel. Ditzelfde gold voor het ontbijt.

Die Unterkunft war in einer netten Gegend gelegen und man konnte zu Fuß zu einigen lokalen Restaurants gehen! Die Betten waren sehr bequem und auch der Pool war sehr schön! Leider war unser Zimmer nicht gründlich gereinigt… speziell im Bad waren dunkle Flecken an der Wand und in den Fugen. Das Personal war aber sehr freundlich! Besonders die Rezeptionistin war super und konnte sehr gut Englisch! Wir würden wieder kommen! (Geben Sie dem Personal Bescheid, falls Sie keine grilled sausage zum Eier-Frühstück möchten! Wir haben einmal gesagt, dass wir nur die Früchte und Toast und keine Eierspeis haben wollen und bekamen dann leider doch zwei Würstl und ein Blatt gegrillte Wurst, das dann wohl leider weggeworfen werden musste)

Die Sauberkeit war leider nicht ganz ausreichend für uns.

Hotel was really good with spacious clean rooms, nice pool, billiard board, very friendly staff. The amenities provided were good including pool towels etc.

Appartement spacieux et très agréable pour 4 personnes. Le personnel est extra et très agréable. Proche du centre, mais sans les désagréments. Salle de bain moderne et grande. Piscine parfaite, petit déjeuné copieux et variés. Literie agréable. Possibilité de repas, en réservant à l avance c'est parfait.

Cuando llegamos la habitacion edtaba sucia, habia lentillas en la mesita de noche y las sabanas y toallas no estaban limpias. El estado de la piscina no era el mejor El baño no estaba muy limpio y tuvimos problemas con el agua caliente, el cual solucionaron dejandonos sin agua caliente. Ademas utilizamos el servicio de lavanderia por el cual claramente nos estafaron en la cantidad y el resultado no fue el mejor. El primer dia pedimos el desayuno a las 8 de la mañana y no habia nadie, tuvimos que coger algo por el camino

Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit im Hotel Bella Vista. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war auch sehr gut und hatte riesen Portionen. Auch das Abendessen ist zu empfehlen. Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet aber die Betten hatten leider einige Flecken weshalb ein Schlafsack für uns wichtig war.

Leider hat das Wasser einige zeitlang nicht funktioniert, nachdem wir Bescheid gegeben haben wurde das Problem schnell behoben. Allerdings hatte man danach auch nicht viel Wasser.

Het personeel was niet oprecht. Ze leken vriendelijk, maar hielden je gewoon aan het lijntje. Op lunch moesten we 1,5 uur wachten, op avondeten voor de 1e 3 personen 45 minuten, maar voor de 4e persoon kwam het eten nog een half uur later. Kakkerlak op de kamer, ontzettende rioollucht in de badkamer, als je de stekken uit het stopcontact trekt, trek je de achterwand van het bed van de muur. We wilden om 4:45 uitchecken ivm safari, dat hadden zowel onze gids als wij gemeld bij inchecken en later nogmaals. Uiteindelijk rond 5.25 pas voor elkaar gekregen. Dit was voor ons verreweg het slechtste hotel van Sri Lanka.
