The location is great, the surroundings are beautiful, the breakfast was good

The wifi was not working, the room was not cleaned they only changed the towels, they did not give us a toilet paper when the one we had finished, no spoons to make tea only cups, the chair was broken my mother nearly fell when she tried sitting

The fact that the cleaning staff makes noise in the morning while we are sleeping. I was also late for breakfast, the staff can tell me nicely that breakfast is over , they can’t help me, instead of just looking at me with an attitude and shaking their head.

We really enjoyed our stay at the inn. Breakfast was great excellent and overall service was great.

This hotel is in dire need of some renovations. I was only there for 1 night for a function but it needs serious attention. You cannot charge what you do for old filthy rooms, beds, mattresses, old cushions and a thin comforters from years back. The people, food and staff was great and you can feel its meant to be a special place for a get together but the hotel leaves a lot to be desired... OLD and let down

Absolutely loved the stay not because of the accommodation but the trusted and supportive help of the night shift reception Wayne. He was efficient and friendly throughout our stay and made the booking a breeze

The restaurant- I ordered a Stella draught and I get a castle draught - then the bar men had the nerve to tell me that it's a castle when that was my only drink. Not sure if because I'm black but hey - it is what it is. Managers there also looked at our table funny which I didn't appreciate not once they checked on us if we okay

Rooms clean. Parking in front of room. Within walking distance of restaurant and reception. Not within the city centre and the petrolpumps are just outside the gate of the property.

People had access to my room. The shower door was inadequate and so the water got onto the floor. The mattrasses was old and there was not enough bathtowels. There were not stoppers on the curtains. The first room we had the toilet door was broken and the closet door in room 102 was broken as well.

Had a very tasty dinner. Friendly staff.

The location and view was excellent. I am not sure about the breakfast because I arrived late. Maybe most of the food was finished

Rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable. Linen and towels were clean. The restaurant was affordable, and the service was great.

According to my wife's report: The few positive about the place was 1. the receptionist at check-in & checkout(staff friendliness). 2. Also Wayne who arranged my wife's breakfast pack, his friendliness and willingness to help over the phone. 3. Cleanliness 4. Room bedding looking good 👍 5. Bathroom clean and hygienic 6. Only one toilet paper- the norm is 2x toilet papers- but one is reasonable. 7. No soap bucket 8. Good shower and heat control mixer tap. Thanks 👍

Spoiled looking, spotted and unhygienic looking pink towels. 5 No extra blankets- morning was cold and 6. No phone in the room to ask how to operate the Aircon. 7. Therefore, one had to walk to the reception to report above mentioned issues. 7. WiFi not working. So, the price didn't match the experience

Everything because it's my usual go to place when I stay overnight, affordable, clean, friendly staff. Breakfast yummy. Shops and facilities walking distance ... Love that.

The room was simple and just what we needed. Just a good working bathroom/shower, comfy bed, good air con. Perfect since we were just passing through. Good restaurant on sit with lots of options.

In the room we were in there was only wifi in one corner so if it was a little more range then it would have been perfect.

Breakfast was brilliant! Rooms are acceptable, but I expected more for the price.

The bathrooms - shower doors are broken, shower floor is stained. The toilet roll holder is broken. TV bracket is broken, TV is balanced on the stand. Room for 2 only had 1 coffee cup and 1 spoon.

We had a pleasant stay at The Horseshoe Inn. The lady at reception was very friendly and immediately made us feel welcome. Our room was clean, and the air-conditioning was a real relief given how hot it was. The on-site restaurant serves delicious food at reasonable prices, which was very convenient and enjoyable.

The only downside was the bathroom vanity, which has clearly seen better days and appears to have some water damage.

To get going back to my own place

The location is easy to find.

The white bedding and towels were yellow and full of black spots. The place was dusty and ant heaps were all over the room, seems like the room was not cleaned in a while. We were itching until I decided to go take out our fleece blankets we travel with and slept on top of them. If my husband and I were traveling alone we were going to pack up and drive to Klerksdorp immediately but we were with our kids and didn't want them to sit for another 4 hours so late in the evening. The people coming from the bar ref their bikes and cars late in the evenings and make noise right infront of our room because that's where they park when using the bar on the premises.

There was no hot water and the restaurant on the premises was terrible. Poor service and zero understanding and listening skills when taking an order

It was dusty in our room and the bathroomwas not as clean as one would expect. The towels were in three different colors in one room. I came back with sinuses. I tried to cancel but was unable to.

We arrived to a reception area stinking of tons of cigarette smoke from the bar. We went to the room, first thing we saw was a huge cockroach. The bathroom door didn't close properly, the place is in desperate need of a complete revamp. Too disgusted to stay, we left. Very shocked that Booking.com has a place like this on your app.

The only good thing was the breakfast the Sunday morning

We came there, and our room wasn't ready (the cleaner did apologized) but at check in they didn't even say anything. The swimmingpool was not available for us as guests, as there was a function on. The ratio of the tv/dstv was out - we couldn't see all. Myself was feeling sick, so my husband went to order take aways from the restaurant. When he went to ask for proper plates and cutlery, he had to beg them almost for it. The water pressure in the bath/shower was low - i could not even try to wash my hair.

They refused to offer me breakfast ...they apply new rules of checking the list😝 They refuse to gave me refund of R700 Previous horse shoe was the best but now it was baaaaddddddd😘

The conference hall was like a horse stable with no ventilation. So much noise from the roof over falling tree branches. Linen was not pure clean and the room was not thoroughly clean. Saw cockroach and spiderwebs in the bathroom.
