So habe ich mir ein schönes B&B vorgestellt. Wunderschön und ruhig gelegen mit sehr, sehr freundlichen Gastgebern, leckerem Frühstück und gemütlicher Einrichtung

Fantastic find and a last minute booking. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. The fridge and cupboards were stocked with all the basics for a day or two : milk, bread, butter, cereal etc. Big bonus for us, halfway through a 10 day tour, was the washing machine!

Nothing to find fault on except we had to move on after two nights!

Shower pressure is amazing especially after a long day, the bed was so comfortable the best nights sleep. So accommodating in every way. Stunning location.

The creaking floor board I was very conscious that I was disturbing the other guests and owners.

Die Lage inmitten von Grün. Sehr herzliches Willkommen. Es war alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Die Dusche war die best funktionierendste Dusche ever! Die Gastgeber machten ein Frühstück. Das war ganz wunderbar. Danke !!!! Wir bekamen viele Topps für unsere Tagesplanung. Allesamt hervorragend! Auch dafür ein herzliches DANKE!!! Es ist ein sehr angenehmer Ort an dem man sich schnell wohlfühlt und gerne wiederkommt. Wir jedenfalls ganz bestimmt!

What an amazing place to stay!! Close to Westport. Martina was a great host and made us feel very welcome. The room was very clean and tidy and it had super views over the mountains. The breakfast was healthy wholesome and fresh. Great local lanes for a morning run in the quiet countryside and past lakes. Perfect 2 night stay

Our best accommodation to date! Martina was fabulous, the room was amazing, so comfortable and clean, the shower was definitely the best I’ve had in Ireland, and such a great location. Martina and Larry are great hosts, really welcoming and always happy to help.

I liked the family feeling the next morning a table layout with our breakfast really set the mood and atmosphere feeling right at home

Larry, the B&B owner, was fantastic. Always on hand if you needed him and made us feel welcome. We can't thank him enough! The stay was comfortable and clean, lovely reclusive and quiet, we enjoyed every minutr inside the b&b. It is very rural, surrounded by fields and countryside. If you are looking to get away from it all this could be the place. The owners even provided some breakfast in the fridge for the first morning there, cooking facilities are a microwave and an air fryer. There is also an egg cooker and a toaster. Comfortable stay. Nice bathroom. We enjoyed the swing outside in the garden aswell!

The location can only be easily reached by car. Considering we didn't drive, we relied on buses and taxis but buses cancel on a whim and run every four hours, whilst taxis were also sparce and you took a chance whether they would be in the area. This is not something I blame the B&B for, as Larry went out of his way to give us lifts into the nearest towns when he could, for which we are very grateful for!! If you do not drive I would not recommend staying here as it is likely you will be left with no way out or in, its a remote location only truly accessible by car.

It was a beautiful property containing everything we need. The hosts were friendly, immediately made us feel comfortable and gave us great tipps for our visit to westport. Thank you for hosting us in such a lovely way!

We had the most wonderful stay with Larry and Martina. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel incredibly welcome, and their kindness and hospitality turned our trip into something truly special. The cottage is absolutely beautiful – cozy, spotless, and thoughtfully decorated with so many lovely little touches that made us feel right at home. The garden is simply magical, with beautiful trees, a swing, and peaceful spots to relax and enjoy nature. Every detail has been carefully considered, making the whole experience even more memorable. Larry and Martina have created a truly special place. Thanks to them, West Ireland will always have a special place in our hearts. We couldn't have wished for a better stay and would recommend this beautiful B&B to anyone looking for a peaceful, charming, and unforgettable experience. Thank you so much for everything – we hope to come back one day!

The generosity of the lady was amazing . She supplied us with the ingredients for a delicious breakfast. The spacious accommodation . Overall perfect for us. I willl return.

It would be mere convenient if the accommodation was closer to Westport However it was such amazing value .

Peaceful country location, lovely welcome on arrival and basic supplies for first morning breakfast is a thoughtful and valuable convenience.

When we arrived, we were greeted by the host and were made to feel very welcome. Great location and a great stay! Larry was kind enough to leave us into westport the next day. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much ❤️

The most beautiful location, property and the loveliest hosts! We had a very late arrival with a large group on a work trip, they were so accommodating and made us feel like we were at home when we were on the road. Absolutely stunning accommodation and the kindness and attention to detail was second to none, even provided us with a beautiful continental breakfast which set us up for a 7 hour drive. Very grateful to the hosts and really hoping our travels bring us this way again. Thank you!

The place was ideal ,perfect, more than expected, even breakfast was ready for kids in the fridge. Spotless place, very nice welcome from owner. Huge living area, big shower , nice swings on the tree kids liked a lot.

Garden Gates Bluebell apartment was beautiful and very comfortable. We received a warm welcome and given lots of information about shops and eating places in both Castlebar and Westport. The property is situated conveniently between both these towns and is set in a beautiful garden with lovely trees. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and well equipped with everything you would need for your stay. There was also a welcome food package which included bread, milk, butter, jam, cereal, cheese, eggs, muffins, tea and coffee. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Great location between Westport and Castlebar and plenty of parking space. Apartment was comfortable, spacious, clean and ideal for a short stay. There was also a helpful amount of supplies in the kitchen.

Fabulous location: quiet, scenic, loads of easy parking Accommodation: very clean, comfortable, well equipped, little kitchenette with air frier, fridge, microwave, plates, cutlery, tea/coffee/milk etc. Loads of space with lovely living room, bedroom, bathroom Owner was friendly and helpful. A gem of a place and a total bargain, especially when compared to the cost of local hotels. Will definitely stay again

Genuinely nothing to dislike. Maybe if not great with stairs, mention it when booking. There is ground floor level accommodation available, but some are upstairs.

Location was a bit outside of the town but was located between Castlebar and Westport. If you don’t mind driving or getting taxis this is no issue!

Fab little guest house, perfect for staying with our two young boys. very homely and comfortable.

À notre arrivée, nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par Martina, qui avait eu la délicate attention de remplir le réfrigérateur sans que nous le lui ayons demandé. Elle y avait placé du jus d’orange, du lait, des œufs, du fromage, du pain, des brioches aux pépites de chocolat, du beurre, de la confiture, des capsules de café Nespresso ainsi que des céréales. L’appartement était très spacieux, impeccablement propre, et situé dans un environnement paisible, entouré de verdure.

Lovely, comfortable large rooms with everything you would need for a shirt or long stay. The hosts were a lovely couple…so welcoming and extra helpful.

Welcoming hosts. The hosts made us feel like family. We stayed in both the cottage and the main house. Both stays were awesome! The cottage has every amenity needed for a family. The main house well breakfast looking out into the fields was so relaxing. A great nightd sleep in the most comfortable bed. Martina was wonderful to talk with and little Teddy was sweet and friendly. He was always running off to as Larry put it “play with the pigs”.

the bed was very good.

the kitchen area. all cupboards were extremely smelly , the smell was even notably present in the dining area. very unhealthy to say the least.

LOVELY couple running this B&B, very welcoming to kids, and they made us feel at home. Kitchenette was ample, and very well stocked. I was expecting some tiny area it was actually almost as big as a regular home Kitchen. Great furnishings and very good location, easy to drive into Westport or Castlebar, and great view of the surrounding countryside. If we hadn't had plans the next day, we would have booked another night and extended our holiday, it was that nice and welcoming. Very family friendly

One reccomendation was maybe could use some stronger curtains to block light more and maybe some insulation to reduce sound between upstairs and down, but otherwise it was a fantastic stay and we are already looking forward to staying again 😀

Such a lovely place to stay!

Beautiful, we stayed in the cottage and I have to say it was peaceful and quiet and very comfortable! Our host left food in the fridge: egg, milk, yoghurt and brown bread. Tea and coffee at no extra cost.

There was nothing we didn't like! Definitely worth a visit and we will definitely come back! Thank you for our stay 🤗

We were greeted with all of the information we needed for our stay on arrival .Couldn't believe we were provided with yoghurt, milk ,juice, cereal bread, eggs, tea coffee all we needed for our first morning breakfast.The place was spotless clean and it was nice and warm when we arrived .Tea towels and washing up liquid provided for kitchen .Towels shampoo shower gel and toilet roll also provided. It's one of the best self catering accommodation I've stayed in a long time .Would highly recommend and I will be back

Martina and her husband were lovely people. The ivy on the outside of the apt was so charming. Nice size refrigerator and kitchen table. Upstairs living room bedroom combo was big!

No AC or fans. I always run hot, but my husband was comfortable.

Beautiful cottage apartment. Loved the location. Ideal with short drive to Castlebar or to Westport on good roads. Beautiful grounds. Host was so friendly and helpful.

Nice hosts and very private location. About 10 min drive into town for dinner. Host provided food to make breakfast in the morning. Bedroom upstairs, bathroom downstairs- fine for us- But may be difficult for some.
