Reviewed Sep 14, 2026Our flight was cancelled, so we stayed at Golda Sol for two nights to catch the next flight. The hosts were very welcoming and did their best to provide us with good service. The hotel has a swimming pool and a garden. Also, there is a large shopping centre about 20 minutes walk away.
The hotel is quite old and it needs renovation. There was a rather musty smell in the room, so we kept windows open all night. The room had air conditioning and a TV. The shower was very narrow and it had a broken tap, so we need to use it carefully. Breakfast was quite edible and included in the price (croissants, ham, cheese, coffee machine, flakes, etc.). The corridors reminded a Catholic pilgrimage home - there were many images and statues of Jesus, the Virgin Mary, Padre Pio and Saint Anthony. I felt a little awkward playing pool on the ground floor next Padre Pio altar, but we enjoyed reading on sunbeds next to the swimming pool in the garden.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2026La piscina es tranquila, profunda y el entorno de naturaleza bonito. El desayuno está bien, no tiene mucha variedad pero tiene calidad. Los dueños del hotel son muy agradables. Tienen en una sala grande antes de llegar a la piscina con muchos juguetes que le encantaron a mi hijo. El restaurante que tiene enfrente es típico y económico. Volvería alojarme ahí !!
Es un hotel algo antiguo pero que lo tienen mantenido, la habitación es básica, si vas buscando lujo no es tu sitio.

Quizá instalaciones algo anticuadas, pero lo compensa con el nivel de limpieza.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026Wir haben eine Nacht in der Unterkunft verbracht; als Familie mit 2 Teenagern. Es war sauber. Der Pool ist schön und es gibt eine nette Terrasse. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich.
Die Unterkunft ist leider sehr runtergekommen. Man hat das Gefühl, auch kleine Reparaturen oder das Auswechseln einer Birne haben die Betreiber nicht mehr vorgesehen. Da das Hotel an einer befahrenen Straße liegt und die Fenster undicht sind, war es sehr laut. Wir haben leider auch einen sehr hohen Preis bezahlt, was besonders ärgerlich war. Zudem war der Automat für Getränke oder kleine Snacks nicht mehr in Betrieb.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026A very downbeat hotel. Poor facilities. Broken toilet, shower was tiny, bathroom basin was way too low. Overall, an extremely poor experience. The hotel pictures are dressed up dramatically.
I paid €572 for 2 nights. The biggest rip off of my life. They keep the entrance door locked. No one can get in. Instead, we are left waiting outside in the heat until someone eventually lets us in.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026A lovely little.hotel. it was basic but clean. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels. Staff didnt.speak much english but were very friendly and always gave us a smile. The pool area was lovely. The aircon was ideal as it was very warm at our time staying.There was a breakfast included with pastries, cereal, juice tea and coffee but we didnt realise this was included until the morning we were leaving.
There was nowhere to keep our drinks cool. Hotel is a bit out of the way from things but a 15 min walk to.nearest supermarket wasnt too bad.

Reviewed Jul 4, 2026Da limpeza, os lençóis cheiravam muito bem, da cordialidade dos funcionários, da piscina, do pequeno-almoço, da área de brincar, com brinquedos muito novos e por ter um shopping muito bom bem perto. As camas eram confortáveis, tem um bom parque de estacionamento.
Os móveis do quarto poderiam ser mais novos, o box poderia estar em melhor estado, tinha uma cortina no lugar do blindex . Poderia ter uma placa na porta do nosso quarto a informar que ali eram quartos, pois as crianças que estavam a brincar de manhã na área de brinquedos,faziam imenso barulho e acordaram -nos.

Reviewed Jun 26, 2026We just used the Golda Sol as a stop over as our flight was late. It was easy to find and close to Faro Airport. Bed and room was extremely clean and simple with everything you needed in it for a stopover. Breakfast was simple and the owners were very accommodating and kind.

Reviewed May 27, 2026The staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating. My flight landed at 9:30 PM, which was past their 9:00 PM check-in limit. I forgot to inform them in advance, but when I called upon landing, they reassured me and waited to let me in. The bedroom was a great, spacious size, and the surrounding garden is beautiful and filled with lovely trees. They also offer a very cheap breakfast for just €3 per adult, and kids eat for free.
The hotel is very simple and only provides the absolute basics. The bathroom is also quite old and could use an update.

Reviewed May 9, 2026Très bon emplacement la ville de Faro est à 16 km. Le personnel est accueillant et aimable. Les extérieur de l'hôtel sont bien entretenus, avec piscine.
Un point d'amélioration : l'éclairage de la salle de bain principale est faible et celui au dessus du lavabo est très haut pour les personnes pas très grande.

Reviewed May 7, 2026Wonderful hotel, we stayed for 1 night in-between travelling round the algarve. Great location, only 10 min uber to loulè. Gorgeous views of the countryside . Very peaceful. Really clean hotel. Staff were so friendly & welcoming. Breakfast was wonderful... the biggest courissants I've ever seen. Would defo stay again.

Só não gostamos da cabine duche que é minúscula e quase que não nos podemos mover, e também a pressão do chuveiro era muito fraca, muito mesmo.

Nao é que nao gostei, apenas deixo uma observaçao, queria uma cama de casal , eles me avisaram que so tinha duas de solteiro devido a demanda, isso nao foi problema algum, a unica coisa que esqueceram foi de deixar colcha de casal.

Deberían tener un personal 24 horas para atender.Tengo fotos y videos de la hora que estuve en el hotel y nadie salió .Saludos

Não gostei da chuva que estragou um pouco o passeio, quanto ao hotel....sem apontamentos negativos.
