Reviewed Aug 31, 2026Das Zimmer war groß genug und hatte Toilette und Dusche getrennt. Gefallen hat uns das viktorianische Haus, der Einrichtungsstil und vor allem die Seile für die Lichtschalter. Beim Frühstück gab es auch Obst. Die Unterkunft ist so gelegen, dass man gut zu Fuß zu Geschäften und Restaurants kommt.

Le couple âgé de propriétaire, impoli (il faut arracher un bonjour) ainsi que le petit - déjeuner qui, contrairement à ce qui est indiqué, est décevant : 2 morceaux de pain ou muffins industriels, du jus en bouteille, 3 grains de raisin et 1 mandarine pour tout le monde et le yaourt que le propriétaire remplit chichement …. Nous avons zappé le dernier petit déjeuner, pris en ville où il y a des cafés très sympas !

Das Guesthouse bietet alles, was man für eine Nacht benötigt, und ist eine gute Alternative zu klassischen Hotels. Insgesamt funktional und ausreichend, um die Stadt zu erkunden und eine angenehme Zwischenstation auf der Reise.
Absolutely nothing that detracted from our overall experience – we would happily stay again. A place that leaves a lasting impression - for all the right reasons.

L'accueil était très chaleureux. Le petit déjeuner était simple et copieux avec de bons produits. L'emplacement était idéal à moins de 10 minutes à pieds de la rue principale et des sites à visiter du centre ville. Je conseille et reviendrai volontiers dans ce guesthouse.
Rien. Nous nous y sommes bien sentis. Pour info, la cuisine commune n'est pas une cuisine où on peut cuisiner réellement. Juste pour réchauffer au micro-onde ou se faire une soupe. Mais cela n'a pas été un problème pour nous.

The old room walls are thin. One guest at the end of the hall was taling at 3 am and another guest leave at 5 am. Room was basic with a clean shared bathroom. I expected that.

I didn't like the smell of testosterone in my small bedroom. However I kind of managed to block it out by using the air freshener from the bathroom. That's all,

My little single bedroom was most comfortable and it was lovely to have a very nice lounge room to relax in the evening. The breakfast was very nice and staff were topping it up as needed. It was most helpful to have on-site parking. The lovely old house was most charming.
Just so others know (it did not worry me at all) that there are only stairs to the first floor.

The only thing to perhaps note is that this is a student area of town and it can be a bit noisy outside if it's a student drinking night lol....but nothing much can be done about that!
