Super accueil. Tente spacieuse.
Amazing location and really nice host! We drove with our own car, and a car from the camp lead our way - easy and cool to drive a bit in the desert (4x4 needed) yourself. The place is clean and has everything. We didn't do any of the many offered experiences and were very happy that no one pushed us - sometimes dunes and stars is all you need.
Staff was amazing. Tent is lovely and clean, bed comfy and shower has a lovely star view. This camp is middle of the desert which makes it perfect peaceful place to stay. You need to book a transfer because it's difficult to find. We bought dinner and breakfast and we really enjoyed, recommend. We also booked dune bashing, surfing and camel riding. Oh boy we had fun. Amazing place.
Emplacement magnifique. Accueil chaleureux.
Small "hidden" camp, only few tents, feels private. During our stay we were the only one 🙂 Sadam is very polite host, cooked delicious dinner for us. Bed super comfortable.
We arranged the pickup and drop off which was very convenient. The dinner and breakfast provided (at additional cost pp) by Sadam was very good. The place is a bit more secluded than the other camps which really adds to the charm. Sadam was a nice host, maybe there was a bit of a language barrier but he really provided a nice touch to the whole experience. The bed is super comfortable and thz outdoor shower a huge plus.
My stay at this property was an absolute dream. If you are looking for a place to truly disconnect and enjoy some peace, this is it. With only three tents available, the sense of privacy and exclusivity in the middle of the desert is incredible. The staff members were the highlight of our trip. They are incredibly kind-hearted and attentive; no matter what questions or requests we had, everyone was more than happy to help with a genuine smile. 🪂 Must-Do: Paragliding If you stay here, you MUST try the paragliding! It was an exhilarating experience and worth every penny. Seeing the vast desert landscape from above is something I will never forget. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and high-quality desert experience. Tsai Tsai from Taiwan
It was a small and intimate camo. Only 3 camps. The staff is amazing!!! From logistics to their chef speciality. Even after I left and need a contact they helped me out. Its close enough to everything but for away from the noisy camps. Perfection. Beds are cozy. Tents sre great. Food was excellent. Come with a big appetite because they will feed you. Honestly these guys are the gems of the desert. Thank you!!!
It was all perfect. Do yourself a favor and book here.
I had an awesome stay here! Saddam is the best and takes care of all your wishes and will make sure you have a good time. Thanks Saddam!
Something you should know in general about the desert camps in Wahiawa Sands: There are hundreds of camps around and the most popular activity is dune bashing. Young males with powerful four-wheel-drive cars try to conquer the dunes making lots of noise and exhaust fuse. try to avoid Fridays and Saturdays. Luckily, the Mirage Desert Camp is in between two dunes, so it’s a little bit more secluded. Saddam, a friendly guy from Yemen, was extremely helpful and kind. On the way in, we pushed our bicycles, which is somehow a crazy idea. I assume people still talk about these foolish Germans. On the way out, Saddam gave us a lift and did not charge for it. We heard that some camps charge quite a bit of money, which is not mentioned when you book the place.
There is not much to complain about. If you want to find something, it could be that Saddam is not the most punctual person in the world.
A Li is very hospitable, he took care of my every needs. You need to try every activities.

The property manager was very attentive for our needs. There are 3 camps at the site. He even lit bonfire for us in the night. We went for dunebashing with him which was great(20 omr). It was worth every penny to stay at the camp. If you prefer privacy book this without second thought.

The host is really nice! He is a young guy from Bidiya who just finished university. He built the camp himself, which looks really good. He picked us up from the Bidiya center and drove us to the camp in his 4x4. He made sure to go over some hills to make the ride more enjoyable for us as well, we even could sit in the back of the pick-up truck. In the evening we drank coffee and thee with the host and his friends and exchanged stories, which was also really nice. The location of the camp is also top-tier since you have a view only on the dessert and you can’t see all the other camps from your tent. The tent itself is really cozy and the beds are super comfortable. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who want to have a dessert experience and support this legend!
Very nice place and people. Welcoming, clean and well located. Very close to the city, but you need a good 4*4 to drive there, or the owner can drive you there from the city.
It is a wonderful little camp (only 3 tents), very comfortable and clean, about a 15-minute drive from a pickup point. I was lucky to be the only guest, as a solo female traveler, for one night in that camp, and I felt very safe. The owner was very nice and polite, took care of me, and even stayed that night in the camp so that I was not alone. There is a possibility to have dinner at another camp, where he brought me and where I could meet other travelers. Dinner costs extra, as does the transport.
All good.
We had an amazing stay at the mirage camp desert (thanks Dhamin). It is owned by a young Omani who was super nice. We arrived early in the afternoon and after dropping us off at the tents, we shared local coffee, dates and exchanged together about our cultures. It was such an enriching moment ! After that, we went dunes bashing and camel riding to get t a full désert expérience. Diner and breakfast were really good. We were scared that it would be cold because of the wind, but we slept super well and we stayed warm under the blanket. We would more than recommend the place if you want a full experience of the desert at an attractive price.

Small camp on Bidiyah sands with a great atmosphere. The owner of the place is lovely with a lot of knowledge about living on the dessert, we had a fun time chatting on the way to the cam and later by the fire. What's important they don't overcharge you for the 4x4 transfer from the parking spot! The tent itself was very clean and cosy, even in the chilly night we were warm under the blankets. We booked a breakfast which was served in the nearby camp. Nice buffet with local cuisine, recommend! Overall great experience, I'm sure they will grow the business very fast :))
Nothing
The tent was fun and in between dunes so it felt private. We were helped to get there since we didn’t have a 4 wheel drive car and the entire experience went smoothly and was great.
Can get very sandy but you are in the desert…
Clean

It was nice experience to live in such place. The host was very kind and cheerful, he helped us to get to this place and also he was always in touch when we have any questions Thanks.
