Coconut Tree House

Mitten im.Jungle. Wir hatten die Hütte mit dem.Aussenbad,was sehr interessant war,da es morgens geregnet hat. 2 grosse Betten,Klimaanlage, Fön,sehr gut ausgestattet..Netter Pool. Eigentümer Dim kann auch Transfers zu guten Preisen arrangieren.

Allgemein: Udawalawe NP Safaris - unsere Erfahrung war mehr als enttäuschend: fast keine Tiere gesehen und gerade mal 4 Elefanten weit weg - würde das Geld für einen anderen Park ausgeben. Wir haben die Safari über den Besitzer Dim gebucht und uns für die Alternative 22000 pro Person entschieden d.h. 20000 4h Safari 2000 Abendessen (muss man letztendlich nicht buchen da er ein kleines Restaurant hat also mam bekommt was zu essen) Morgens um 5:30 bekommt man einen.Tee und da wurde mir gesagt, dass ich gleich zahlen soll,da ich 40000 für die Safari bereit hatte, gab ich ihm diese - da gab es schon ein komisches Gesicht - ich sagt dann zu ihm, dass ich die 4000 lund Zimmer ihm nach der Rückkehr zahle, da ich den Zimmerpreis nur in Dollar wusste. Hat er mir doch eine für mich nicht freundliche Whatsapp noch als wir auf dem.Weg zur Safari geschickt, was mir die Laune dann doch etwas verdorben hat.

It's fully worth for what we have spent....property in real same as the pictures uploaded in the page ....It was really Great experience for both Srilankan and Foriegners who ever visits here....

Tres bon rapport qualité prix. Terrasse, piscine. Logement propre. Nous n'avons pas eu la chambre prévu. A priori lié à un probleme de booking. Nous avons été facturé moins cher. Le rapport qualité prix est bon.

La quantité lors des repas etait juste.

Coconut Tree House ligt prachtig in een grote tuin en wordt omringd door veel palmbomen. De vriendelijke eigenaresse verwelkomde ons en we mochten op haar terras iets drinken. Er is ook nog een ander huisje dat verhuurd wordt. Als je het terrein op komt zie je een lekker ruim zwembad, met ligstoelen. Dan loop je via een prachtig aangelegd en aangeveegde tuin naar het treehouse, dat maar 1m boven de grond ligt. Na 3 treden kom je op een overdekte veranda met 2 tafels en 4 houten, rechte krukjes. Door de deur kom je in de slaapkamer met 2 dubbele bedden en prima matrassen. er is een ventilator en airco en een tafeltje met koffie- en theefaciliteiten. Geen koelkast (onze spullen moesten in de koelkast van de eigenaren, dus je moet steeds aan hun vragen om iets van ons uit de koelkast te halen. Was geen probleem!), geen kookgelegenheid. Door de slaapkamer ga je naar de buitenbadkamer. Wc en douche zijn buiten, afgeschermd door een muur en Kokosbomen. Als ik daar douche wordt de hele wc nat, dus deksel naar beneden. Vanuit het huisje heb je een prachtig mooi uitzicht over het zwembad en de tuin. De eigenaresse heeft 2x een heerlijk curry voor ons gekookt. Ook het ontbijt was heerlijk. het huisje ligt op ca. 10 min rijden van Udawalawe NP De vriendelijke eigenaar heeft een grandioze full day safari voor ons geregeld in Udawalawe NP, heel veel olifanten e.a dieren gezien. Prachtig. Heerlijk gezwommen in het zwembad. Aanrader!

Niets, alles was top! Mss alleen als opmerking: we kregen ons ontbijt, op ons verzoek, op ons eigen terras. was helemaal prima. Alleen ging de eigenaar precies op dát moment voor ons huisje het zand netjes aanvegen. Dat had hij gemakkelijk later of eerder kunnen doen. 's Avonds kwamen er ook ander huurders en die gingen zwemmen in het zwembad, dat precies voor onze neus lag. Geluid en beweging trekken altijd de aandacht. Met enige moeite hebben we niet gekeken.

Great experience in the middle of nature. Fully recommended if you are visiting Udawalawe Safari and Elephant Orphanage - the accommodation gives you a great vibe for it. Owners are very nice and the lady prepares very tasty meals. Special points for a washing room under the sky :-)

Un excellent rapport qualité prix, des logements super, avec une douche à l'extérieur (eau chaude) que j'ai beaucoup aimé. La piscine est propre et appréciable. Le lieu est calme (beaucoup d'oiseaux et chauve-souris le soir). Si j'avais eu plus de temps j'y serais resté quelques jours de plus.

Je me suis renseigné sur les tarifs pour un safari organisé par l'hébergement mais j'ai finalement réservé avec une autre agence. Cela n'a pas vraiment plu au gérant par message, mais cela n'a pas impacté mon séjour et le gérant a été très courtois et agréable à notre arrivée

Nicely situted house - in the middle of the forest. Very nice terrace to chill, good Air Conditioning and a welcome drink after arrival. Safari was also well organized, there are many options to choose from private to group safari, different duration ect. The dinner (extra paid) was very good and big. Breakfast to compare to other Homestay was not great, but still ok. I didnt have much exchange with the family beside the organizational things but they were very friendly and helpfull when needed.

The wi-fi was not working well but that was not a problem as there was a good time to chill :)

Really familiar and cute, for the money it’s totally worth it to go there! And the dinner was amazing, one of the best meals in Sri Lanka we had. The safari was also amazing, recommend to book it directly at the property!!

Great stay in Udawalawe. Very comfortable house in quit location. Dim and his wife make you feel welcome. With good food and they arrange a great safari.

Accommodation: We loved the place that Dim provided us. It's a cosy hut in the forest. There will be plenty of jungle sounds around. Both the evening meal and the breakfast were delicious. We dined in a beautiful ambience at their house. The garden is decorated with many colourful lampions. Dim and his wife are very accomodating and care for their guests. In the morning they cooked an extra dish for our Baby. Safari: We booked the Safari for Uda Walawe Park trough Dim. He brought us together with our driver Sudumu. He is a sympathic and relaxed guy. With the vehicle he brought us quite close to the elephants. We were lucky that day to observe numerous elephants and even a few groups of elephants also with babies. He shares his knowledge about elephants and the other animals that live in the park. He also identified birds, amongst others, three types of eagles, and he gave us a book that helped to determine the birds and various other animals of the park. We would definitely do the tour with him again. Thank You Dim & Sudumu.

The stay in this place was magical. The cottage is located in a small jungle. Thanks to this we have privacy, peace and quiet. The cottage is clean, with air conditioning. The stay there charged our batteries and gave us a moment of respite from the noisy tourist places. From the cottage we have a 1 minute walk to the main hotel building. In the main building our host prepared us great Sri Lankan food. He is a wonderful, smiling and humorous man with a fantastic family. We decided to go on a safari, which he helped us organize. As promised, our guide spoke good English and was able to spot animals that we would not have noticed ourselves. We highly recommend this place!

- Dim is a great host. he was very friendly and very supportive! He offers Safari packages but was very flexible to our requirements (e.g. remove dinner from package and give a discount) - We had a Safari with their local guide (Sumuru) and he was great. we saw many elephants, crocodiles and many different kind of birds. He explained very well in English and even provided us with a book of the animals and binoculars. - The private outside shower was great! Water coming down from a small rock, like standing bellow a waterfall. - Very cheap accomodations because you should buy their safari tour, which is to be expected!

Very cute little hut in the forest, we loved the outside bathroom! :) the Host dim is so nice! He really made us feel welcome and organized an amazing safari. His driver Sumudu is also the best guide, he made sure to avoid crowds and to really make your day perfect. We loved everything!!

Just be prepared that there is not a lot of internet connection :)

I coudn’t recommand Coconut Tree House more ! Hosts are adorable, Dim made everything for us to have the best experience. The house is great in the middle of the jungle, peaceful, clean, with A/C- and a very nice outside bathroom. Dim organized an amazing safari for us (thanks to the guide who was incredible), and the rice & curry after is so tasty. You can go to Coconut Tree House with eyes closed, one of the best place we had in Sri Lanka ! Justine & Edouard

Very great value, because the owner earns the money with the safari and not the room. It is a very nice hut under the coconut trees with an attached outdoor bathroom.

There was a missunderstanding about the safari prices. The owner did not include the park ticket in the price he offered us. After we arrived, he explained to us that we had to pay for the park ticket in addition to the safari price. Since we were already there, we still went for the safari but bargained a small price reduction. He did not seem to like that and was very reserved from then on.

It's an amazing place. Dim and his family are really hospitable, helpful, and caring. He was constantly checking where we have reached, sending location, and asking meal options. The meal was superb tasty and huge quantity. He arranged safari for us, which was the cheapest but really best quality time. His safari driver has a special eye for finding animals in a short time. His wife offered us so many fruits and even gave some for travel ahead. The cottage was perfectly clean, and it had good ac, and all toiletries were provided. Beds were super comfortable we slept really well. We requested srilankan breakfast and got really delicious huge quantities. It's a gem place very near to udawalawe national park. Its exactly like as shown in pictures.

Great place to visit. Comfortable and valuable place

The host,was amazing , he gave us great recommendations, organized a great safari, for a reasonable price for the two of us, where we ended up enjoyind the amazing udawalawe national park on a private tour. The breakfast, as well as the curry's that we ordered from there were amazing as well. The cherry on top for us was the outside shower and the lovely Chillout area in front of the bungalow, we strongly recommend this place, and hope to come back one day

Very nice people! Room was comfortable with a good working AC and mosquito nets. The outdoor bathroom is a nice touch as well.
