De host heeft een safari voor ons geregeld wat goed geregeld was voor een prima prijs. Ook het ontbijt was lekker

Het is natuurlijk wat meer basic wat ook helemaal prima is maar er misten wat ons betreft wel net wat basis dingen zoals een prullenbakje in de badkamer

Poměr cena/výkon jednoznačně nejlepší co jsem za měsíc na srí lance měl. Ano, asi se trochu očekává, že si s ubytovaním zařídíte i safari, ale snad pro to se přeci do Udawalawe jezdí. Krásná chatka i bazén

Was only there for one night but it was comfortable and had a nice breakfast.

2 chambres réservées . Nous pensions qu’elles étaient à côté. Erreur ! Un chemin les sépare ! Nous ne voulions pas laisser nos enfants aussi loin de nous donc on se rabat sur le logement pour 6 qui était disponible. On paye donc 4x le prix initialement prévu.. Clim ne marche pas, impossible de dormir en haut ! Jardin mal entretenu ( sacs, bouteilles qui traînent) …. Harcelés de message tous les jours , 10 jours avant pour prendre le safari avec le propriétaire . Nous avions déjà réservé par l’intermédiaire de notre guide ! Attitude lamentable du propriétaire des lieux qui est allé voir notre guide pour lui demander de lui rendre des comptes … il semblerait que cet hébergement possède plusieurs noms différents sur les sites de réservation. Nous ne le recommandons pas !

It s an wonderful and quite place. Pretty hard to reach there but it s grate.

Das Personal war sehr nett,das Frühstück reichhaltig. Unsere Safari war gut organisiert und auch für den Weitertransport nach Ella wurde gesorgt. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Die Unterkunft bietet für den Preis sehrnviel, der Pool ist erfrischend und die Hängematten im Garten bequem.

Leider haben wir am frühen Abend niemanden mehr antreffen können, um evtl noch etwas zu essen bzw. Snacks zu kaufen. Die nächsten Restaurants und Shops sind ca 800m entfernt.

Der Besitzer Dim war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Er hat uns mit der Safari und Transport geholfen. Das Frühstück war sensationell.

Absolutely loved our stay here. The place is beautiful and feels truly paradisiacal, very peaceful and relaxing. The pool was amazing and we also loved the outdoor shower & having air conditioning in the room. The owner was incredibly kind and the communication was excellent throughout our stay. The location is perfect as well, very close to the safari, the Elephant Transit Home & restaurant, which made everything super convenient. The meals were also delicious and very generous!

The only small downside was that there was a bit of humidity in the room, but honestly that’s completely normal in a tropical country like Sri Lanka and it didn’t stop us from having a wonderful experience. We would definitely recommend this place!

We had a wonderful stay. It was so beautiful and quiet in the middle of the nature. We had the best Kottu for dinner! And the owner arranged the safari for us. Can’t recommend enough!!:)))

FALSE ADVERTISING: .. i told the owner upon arrival that i was feeling sick, he kept pushing me to go on safari! then i said i don’t wanna go and he said the room costs will be MUCH HIGHER if i don’t book safari. then he told me im not allowed to stay more than one night ONLY. basically you have to arrive, stay one night, do safari with him and then leave.. to get this online price. i call that SCAM because they don’t tell you this in advance

Family was welcoming and the food was delicious. I went for the Elephant Transit Home which was a 10min walk. But the host offered to organise a safari which I was sad to pass up

we stayed for one night in this lodge, Dim organaized safari for us, and it was great, we also had a lunch and a dinner at the lodge and the food was delicious and plentiful. The breakfast they packed us for safari was also great. We enjoyed swimming pool after safari, was a great bonus to have it. Highly recommended if you stay in udawalawe area.

It was a pleasant stay for one night with good food.

The wifi didn’t really work, didn’t really look like the pictures and not much interaction with staff.

We are so pleased we found this accommodation - it was perfectly placed for a Safari and we were able to walk to the Elephant Transit Home to see the orphaned elephants. Dim was the perfect host and the lodge was tucked away in beautiful surroundings and so peaceful. It was great to have the pool too. Dim organised the safari for us and we also ate there and it was the best Vegetable Fried Rice I had on the trip - Dim is an amazing Chef! If you are looking for somewhere to stay near Udawalawe then you need to check this place out - you won't be disappointed and such great value for money.

L'endroit est un petit paradis où l'on se sent super bien ! Dim, s'occupe parfaitement de ses hôtes et est très sympathique ! Le chalet est confortable, la salle de bain en extérieur est top, chambre climatisée... On ne manque de rien ! Les petits déjeuners sont délicieux et très copieux ! Une superbe piscine ! Les safaris d'Udawalawe et Yala sont parfaitement bien organisés par Dim et sont super (complémentaires dans la diversification de la faune) ! Je recommande vivement ce logement et les deux safaris ! Encore un grand merci à Dim !!

Everything!! The room was beautiful, comfortable, and super clean! The pool was great for when it's sunny. Dim and his family were incredibly kind and gave us excellent advice about the safari! The best Kotthu we've had in Sri Lanka so far is here! Thank you so much for everything! Don't hesitate to book here; the rates are incredibly affordable for the beautiful facilities they offer!

Sweet Owners, AC, nice Pool and they even provided us with food pretty late on our arrival day. Also organized us a safari really spontaneously.

Cisza i spokoj, wygodne łóżko, czysty basen, bardzo dobre śniadanie, super że nie trzeba szukać safari bo wlasciciel organizuje z bardzo fajny śniadanie (wybralismy poranne safari ze śniadaniem w terenie 6h).

Trudno złapać właściciela na obiekcie, więc ciężko zamówić jakikolwiek napoj/piwo. Nie zjedliśmy niestety kolacji w obiekcie, ale widzieliśmy że porcelain są słuszne.

Mijn verblijf was een andere kamer. Het was er erg donker en er lagen 2 reepjes stof die als deken moesten dienen. Het hoofdkussen rook muf. Het was heel goedkoop maar wrsl door het boeken van de safari. Ik ben uiteindelijk maar 1 nacht gebleven maar ook omdat er verder weinig te doen is in Udawalawe.

Prisvärt, trevlig personal, fina rum, bra läge med närhet några restauranger, en kiosk/butik och till ett elefantbarnhem. Bokade safari via boendet, det var ett bra planerat safari och prisvärt. Frukosten var god, kunde varit lite mer.

This place is very nice with a beautifully arranged garden. The pool is really relieving after a hot day and the people are dedicated to our well being.

A higher tea quality could be proposed for breakfast.

Lugar muy bien cuidado y natural, para quienes buscan un lugar tranquilo algo mas apartado. Nos encantó el diseño del baño y la habitacion grande provista de lo necesario. Buena limpieza y buen desayuno.

I had the most incredible stay at this unique tree house accommodation! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the charm and beauty of the place. Nestled among the trees, the tree house offered a perfect balance of comfort and adventure, with stunning views all around. The pool was an absolute highlight—it felt like a hidden oasis where I could relax and unwind after exploring. Everything was so thoughtfully designed, making the whole experience feel special and memorable. What truly made the stay outstanding was the host Dim and his family. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, offering warm hospitality, helpful recommendations, and genuine kindness. It’s rare to find someone who cares so deeply about their guests’ experience, and it truly made all the difference. Lovely home cooked meals and breakfasts were provided both days of our trip here. I can’t recommend this place enough—it’s a magical getaway that combines nature, comfort, and world-class hospitality. If we find ourselves in Udawalawe we will definitely stay here again!!!

Quando ho letto tutte le recensioni su booking non potevo credere che il posto fosse così bello ed invece era tutto vero ed ancora più bello di quanto potessi pensare. Non bastano poche righe per descrivere questa meravigliosa esperienza, la casa è incantevole e situata in un meraviglioso giardino molto vicino al parco nazionale, la colazione varia ed ottima didattica. Abbiamo scelto di fare il safari suggerito dall host e ci siamo trovati favvero benissimo, una guida molto paziente ed esperta ci ha permesso di vedere moltissimi animali e di conoscere un sacco di cose sulla fauna locale. Il punto eccezionale della struttura è la famiglia ospitante che ci ha fatto vivere una esperienza indimenticabile, ci hanno invitato a casa loro per fare giocare insieme le nostre figlie ed hanno prestato alla nostra bimba un sacco di giochi. La seconda sera ci hanno invitato a cenare con la loro famiglia allargata, ci hanno fatto cucinare con loro insegnandoci le ricette locali e ci hanno offerto gratuitamente la cena permettendoci di mangiare tranquilli mentre intrattenevano la nostra bimba. Il migliore soggiorno che io abbia mai fatto in tutti i miei viaggi, dispiace favvero dover andare via!

Aardig gezin, heerlijk eten (ontbijt + diner), kamer was comfortabel met schone douche, bed met goed matras en airco in de kamer. Rustige omgeving 's nachts. Mooie tuin, 's avonds sfeervol verlicht. Zwembad in de buurt om af te koelen. Dim de eigenaar kan ook safari voor je regelen met chauffeur Sumudu. Hij doet al 9 jaar safari's en kan er goed over vertellen en allerlei dieren spotten. Exquisito trato. La familia que lo lleva es fantástica. Te ayudan en todo y siempre están pendientes y se adaptan a tus necesidades. Nos ofrecieron el safari y fue maravilloso. El guía nos explicó todo muy bien y nos trajo un desayuno muy rico.

This accommodation was absolutely exceptional. Everything was beautifully arranged and tastefully decorated, creating a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. The pool was great – both inviting and practical – and the room was lovely, air-conditioned, with a comfortable bed and a stylish setup. Breakfast exceeded my expectations – delicious and plentiful. The owners were incredibly friendly, open, and always willing to help. The host even organized a safari trip for me, which was a wonderful bonus! I can only offer the highest praise for this place – I wholeheartedly recommend it

What a great place to stay! The room was large, the place was very clean and quiet, good WiFi and hot water and great food. The best part was the staff- the owner has a few properties and we stayed at Amma’s Homestay. The family there was so lovely, bringing us tea and juice and just pleasant people to talk with. Highly recommend!

The room was clean. Host was really nice and helpful. He organised great safari for us. Our driver's name was Sumudu- I really recommend this guy. He knows a lot about safari and we enjoyed it. Apart from that we had delicious dinner and breakfast in this price. I really recommend this place!

It is a wonderful family-run guesthouse with a warm welcome with coffee and tea. The room and bathroom are very clean and nicely decorated, the garden with veranda is enchanting. The taxi service from Ella was also great in terms of price and on time.  The Udawalawe safari was organized hassle free, the driver was also excellent. The next time I visit the national park I will make sure not to choose a rainy day, as the photos won't be so good. However, there were plenty of elephants to admire, birds, wild boars, and crocodiles. Thank you very much, and I highly recommend it.

Amazing value for money! The food is simply amazing and freshly cooked by the wive of the host - big portions and extremely nice presentation! Location is good - 15 min drive to the entrance of the national park. The safari organized by the host was better then we could have ever expected and our highlight was the jeep driver who is a neighbour of the host! His English was perfect and he explained everything we saw very detailed! Would definitely recommend this homestay!

One of our most luxurious stays. Very friendly and communicative owner (Dim) who was happy to answer any of our questions and make arrangements for our safari needs. We had our own cottage with patio and outdoor bathroom. Breakfast wasn't the best we've had, but lunch and dinner were delicious. Our safari in Udawalawe park was a great experience, Dim arranged a very friendly driver for us who was very knowledgeable about the area and the animals.

The villa is super pretty in a beautiful location! Owner is very nice and helpful, organised a great safari with a good and experienced driver. Definitely great value for money as the safari is usually same price and the villa had a great standard

It was quite a walk from most of restaurants and shops which bothered us a bit as we stayed 2 nights but it’s not an issue if you only come for the safari:) the owner will provide you with everything you need

The accommodation is located within walking distance from the elephant orphanage. We did the 6-hour safari package with breakfast lunch and dinner included. (Which we were happy with as there are very limited options available for food in town). The host is super friendly and we loved the food presentation. Good value for money.

The room was amazing value. Dimu was super friendly & helpfull with everything we needed. We left our shoes outside at night and he secured them from the dogs. Let us hang up our laundry and so on. All in all it was a great stay with the best room we had so far in Sri Lanka for the best price and the water was actually warm.

We had a wonderful stay here. Dimu was a super host, so kind and helpful and the food was delicious too. He organised our jeep safari for us and we can really recommend this. Our driver was very knowledgeable and thoughtful towards the animals as well. When our Uber taxi cancelled and left us stuck trying to get to our next destination, Dimu helped us sort some other transport. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable. It is very new and clean and a lovely place to stay. There is a communal lounge, an outdoor seating area downstairs for breakfast and we were served our dinner on the upstairs veranda which was lovely too.

The hotel was clean and the bed super comfy. They served every morning Sri Lankan breakfast and tea. The owner of the hotel also owns a Safari Jeep and organized for us a Safari to the Udawalawa National Park. We liked staying here and definitely recommend this place.

Staff Dimu & Sister were incredibly helpful and nice! The rooms were so clean and fresh which made the stay amazing! Dimu helped us book safari tours and cooked us an incredible breakfast! 10/10 stay

a very clean and new hotel, even the films still remained in some places for transportation. the owner is a kind and unobtrusive young man, did not bother with additional services. the breakfast is very hearty, there are kitchen options to choose from.
